  1. Those are specific exclusions, yes. They have to be spelled out from the beginning. I just doubt any insurance company would have the forethought to include a "Being stupid with Tannerite and a lawnmower" exclusion. :)
  2. Accidental means unintentional; not non-negligent.
  3. So Obama offered a limp-handed offer of friendship that was coldly received? Who saw that coming?  :)
  4. The stuff I did as a kid with gunpowder from fireworks would surprise most. I used to take Tester's model paint bottles that were clean, fill them with powder, punch a hole in the lid, and run cannon wick in them. I stuck them in holes or threw them in the lake, (weighted), so they'd sink. I always thought the reports of "Kid blows off fingers with Blackcats" to be BS. I knew better. I think my parents were surprised that I didn't go into demolitions or EOD. I guess they didn't think about 99 lbs of powder pushing a 147 lbs round of Comp B through a huge tube was the same. :)
  5. Not true! He has ONE leg to stand on! :)
  6. Don't know about Franklin, but the Outpost will put an Inpost where you wouldn't like it. :(
  7. Outpost Armory has a pretty large selection.
  8. I reload for the giggles of it; not the savings.
  9. I think you'll find that one size fits all won't work well with women on combat. Just a guess, but a woman's hand won't come close to my XXXL hands, for instance.
  10.   Since you are going to build I'd pour a pad, use pressures treated boards on the bottom, and vinyl siding to match the house. If you don't want to pour a pad I'd at lease pour footers to place the bottom boards on. You can trench, place and level the boards, mark the level, pour the concrete then set the board level while that concrete dries underneath it. Lavergne's building permit is just $50.
  11. These boys are right here in Lavergne? Makes me want to kick them in the nads if I see them. Eddy Albert is not a name easily forgotten for someone my age.
  12. You affirmed my point. Thanks.
  13. Are you going to pour a pad, put gravel down, or use boards?
  14. Well, it was an early 1900's agreement that the extremists aren't signatories thereof. I've always thought it to be stupid. I thought the guys in Vietnam carrying Pythons with hollow points were smart to do so. Standing armies in WWII left booby traps too.
  15. It was illogically explained to me in the Marine Corps that it was better to wound the enemy rather than to kill. A wounded solder inhibits the attack because resources are diverted to care for the wounded. It was cited something like 10 people to care for 1 soldier.
  16. When I was a cop I was counseled not to wear clothing like "Kill them all and let God sort them out" and similar for this very reason. A picture can come back and bite you right in the ass in a heartbeat.
  17. Didn't they recently sign a contract worth millions of dollars for new 1911's?   EDIT: http://www.businessinsider.com/marines-reissue-1911-colt-45-because-the-9-mm-has-no-balls-2012-8
  18. Well, I see it as a statement of fact: you are F'd if the dust cover flies open. :)
  19. Oh, I understand the reasoning for it. I was just pointing out the lack of need over the decades and that it wasn't a hard-n-fast rule. I think many military members in actual combat roles carried whatever they wanted. I new veterans who carried Pythons and Model 29's in Vietnam. I don't know if any ever had to use them, but with the reputation of the early M-16's I don't doubt that they needed them.
  20. Ding, ding, ding!!!   As far as NATO caliber is concerned, has that been an issue in the decades of being in NATO, and does not the Marine Corps use .45 acp 1911's?
  21. I'd help, but I'm a gimp too. Don't know how much help I'd be.
  22. "Shaw said soldiers don't like the M9 and would much prefer some type of .45 cliber [SIC] handgun. If I had to pick, I would lean towards a Glock 17 or 19 or their .45 model." I'd like to hear the reasoning that if you don't like the 9mm in the M9 then why would you like it in the Glock 17/19? I agree that the soldier should have a choice. For instance, I'd want a 10mm but someone smaller may want a 9mm or .357 Sig.
  23. Buy bigger than what you think you'll need. I  bought a 8 x 12 from the place in Lavergne on Murfreesboro Road, and after 7-8 years it's full. Interestingly enough, if you pour a concrete pad for the shed you have to have a building permit, but if you use boards to set the shed upon you don't have to have a permit.   EDIT: If I had it to do over again I'd build my own. The shed doors ain't made for tall people. I've left numerous welts on the top of my head because I didn't duck low enough.  :(
  24. Perhaps y'all should bombard the clowns who voted against/abstained with email pointing to the current presidential election cycle and how people are revolting against the establishment. If'n they like their part time jobs they should act like it.
  25. They fly so low right over my house that I could chuck a rock at them.
