  1. No clue at all, but I'd bet on church. EDIT: Because of all the hand-shaking and hugging that goes on there.
  2. I believe that it's Gypsum; not concrete.
  3. ...and I'm reminded of it now as an adult.   I haven't had an ear infection since, well, I remember lying down in the back seat of my parent's Rambler in the early 60's with a cotton ball stuffed in my aching ear. Now at 55 years old I've contracted a viral ear infection. When it set in last Monday I though at first it was the onset of a cold. The doctor thought that it was bacterial, but I know now that it's viral because the strong antibiotics that I've been on since Tuesday afternoon haven't done anything for the infection. My wife got it at the same time too, so our exposure to the source of the infection was at the same time. Not only does it make your ear hurt like someone's jabbed an icepick in your ear, but it also makes your teeth, jaw, and base of your skull hurt too. Then there's the constant ringing in my ear.   I write this to let you guys know that whatever virus this is it's going around. It also reminds me of why the kiddos are so cranky when they get ear infections.
  4. Anything that can be opened can be forced open. What would concern me is that someone had the foreknowledge that the safe was there and knew there was enough time to cut it open.
  5. The video is as retarded as I expected.
  6. I'm out on this. You're asking for trouble with this. What I would like to see is a better Marine Corps plate - well, all military plates. A friend of mine has a cool submarine service plate.
  7. That's awesome!!!! :)
  8. He also said that when he's out he ain't look'n back. He's got better things to do. My opinion: don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!
  9. O'l Jeb said this morning that he's staying in. It's got to be more about lining their pockets than having a chance to win.
  10. I don't give any credence to polls. Kasich is the nerd in that race that doesn't stand a chance but they can't keep him out anyway.
  11. Kasich has less of a chance than Christie.
  12. Actually, it's not really an article but rather a request for opinions. Just the few opinions that I read were pretty much right on, and perhaps inform the left a little bit.
  13.   It's no longer an empty warehouse. IIRC, it is now a contractor's supply company.
  14.   Sorry, wrong side of town for me today. :(
  15.   I loathe people that hurl insults on the web, (both left and right), but I think that with that person who said that to you I would be a hypocrite and respond with something like, "So you're telling me that you're an idiot. Got it!" BTW: I saw one of those such persons post a similar statement on a news report. He ran some sort of gun-grabbers group. If they refer to us as "nuts" it tells the uninformed that we are dangerous to everyone else. I wonder if they can be sued for slander under the right circumstances?
  16. Well they do reside in the Bay Area with the rest of the loons.
  17. I have a 1/2" concrete bit for drilling the holes if you use the same size bolt/anchors. I don't know if the cost saving is worth your time to get it, but you can have it if you like.
  18. Do you have the hammer drill and bit for drilling the concrete?
  19. I went ahead and ordered a set. I got them today and noticed a design flaw right off. This applies to the dovetail set; not the set for the Glock/Taurus that use a post. The dovetail base of the front sight that has to be drifted into place on the slide has the setscrew for attaching the colored tip to the base on the bottom of the base, so unless you can determine right off your color preference for the front sight then that makes changing colors or adding/removing shims a bit more difficult to accomplish. If you change them more than a couple of times then you have to also worry about the base wearing down enough to lose the friction that keeps it in place in the frame. So I guess that I better set on a color of the front sight and stick with it. The rear sight color is easier to change being that it snaps into the rear sight base.   The colored plastic inserts for the rear sight are brightly colored with the exception of the "red" which is more of a pinkish-red than red. This makes me feel like the red has less brightness than the other colors. I would prefer a bright red than what they give you. The front sights tips are all set in their black housings, so it's hard to tell. Given the design flaw I think what I need to do is stick them all on a piece of wood and view them all together in different lights and backgrounds to determine which one if the most appropriate and then mount it in the gun. Then use the different rear inserts to see what color combo I like.   PS: I contacted ATS about my concerns and received a very quick response. For the red comment he said that they add a little white to the red making a coral red because red itself doesn't show up very well in low light. With the coral red the sight performs better in all lighting conditions. For the other issue he admitted that changes are more difficult and liked my idea of using a smaller set screw on the front: however, he has changed the sights repeatedly without the sight becoming loose. He did say that some are drilling a hole through the slide to access the set screw easier for quicker changes.
  20. You thought it couldn't get worse? You're being sarcastic, right?
  21. I'd say that 94 years old was a ripe old age to go. I know that I don't care to live that long.
  22. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/no-evidence-of-shooting-at-san-diego-naval-med-center-report/ar-BBoJ5z7?li=BBnb7Kz   And now they say there's no evidence of a shooting.
  23. I normally leave work at 11 and get there at 11:15. Yes, there's a line, but I'm more concerned with getting a seat which is no problem at 11:15.
  24. I don't drink La Vergne's or Nashville's water unless I absolutely have no choice. The others I suspect are fresh made and their oven is brick. They even sell mozzarella balls to take home. They make the food up daily, and when they run out they're done for the day and you should have been there earlier. I recommend you getting there between 11:00 and 11:15 if you're gonna go.
  25. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/active-shooter-reported-at-naval-medical-center-san-diego/ar-BBoJ5z7?li=BBnb7Kz   "The post on the medical center's Facebook page advised occupants to run, hide or fight, which under federal government guidelines is a valid tactical response to an active shooter."   With what...their good looks?
