  1. I was listening to the briefing as well, but I was trying to work at the same time. I did think it was an ungodly amount of ammo, but again I caught them saying that she was shooting out the back of the SUV. :)
  2. They said over almost 700. Something like 695, I think.
  3. Yeah, that too! LOL!
  4. I don't know if he can/will, but Baptist isn't really a religion but more of a statement of the belief in submersion. John's name would be more accurately translated to "John the Dunker" or John the submersionist" so to speak. Many people do not realize that Baptist do not have a head like a pope. The Southern Baptists are simply a loosely organized group that share many common beliefs, but membership is voluntary. That's why there's Southern Baptists, Free Will Baptist, Fundamental Baptist, Primitive Baptist, Westboro Baptist, etc.
  5. That seems inevitable in any thread involving religious connotations.
  6. Umm, no.
  7. For the former it was a study that I did on my own in mid-1990's and I no longer have the notes. I studied the councils and documents the Catholic Church published at the time. I guess the best description would be "position" papers that are the SOP for the priests and nuns. But it's not my job to do other peoples' homework for them; it's their responsibility. I will point out that the church states that The Bible is the pure word of God but contradicts many of the things written in The Bible.   For the latter I haven't been referring to it as workplace violence.
  8. I'm sure that you know that Protestants are split-offs from the Catholic Church who left under protest - hence the name. Protestants do not encompass all Christian denominations. Baptists, for instance, never were a part of the Catholic Church.
  9. Try again. Study for yourself, like I did, reading Catholic resources. Start with the 21 Ecumenical Councils and then get back to me. :)
  10. I see that a lot of Catholics don't bother to learn about the history of the Catholic Church.   EDIT: I guess the nun's ruler marks still make an impression decades later. LOL!
  11. Wrong! I see that you ascribe to the dogma that the Catholic Church teaches. Whatever...
  12. Sorry, but you are completely wrong. First Christians were in Antioch of ancient Syria.   Acts 11:16 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
  13. 12 bombs in the house alone. Yeah, that's workplace violence alright.
  14. No, I'm not missing anything, thanks. I have never lumped in Radical Islam with all of the Muslims. I don't lump in Skinheads and KKK with all Christians either.
  15. I certainly agree with this.
  16. I think it's ironic that someone who fusses at others for lumping in all Muslims as Islamic Extremists does the very same thing with Christians being responsible for the Crusades. I suppose you don't know much about the Inquisitions either, and I don't mean just The Spanish Inquisitions but all of them. You know, where Catholics persecuted Christians who were not Catholic?
  17. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/12/03/2-suspects-killed-shootout-san-bernardino-massacre-14-killed/?intcmp=hpbt1   Go Pro cameras? I'd think that would make it clear if it was Jihad or not.
  18. Not what I said. They are not Christianity as a whole although their doctrine teaches that they are.
  19. Umm, Christians aren't responsible for the crusades; the Roman Catholic Church did that. Christians date back long before the Catholics regardless of what the Catholic Church teaches..
  20. LA Times reporting 3 shooters and they have escaped.
  21. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/10mm_Auto
  22.   I sent a rifle to a FFL in Illinois via the post office without any problems.
  23. There's no way in heck I'd ever go to an opening of a movie to begin with, (which would be the likely day of an attack), so, no, I'm not worried. :)
  24. Our church was getting burglarized fairly frequently until we put up both signs and camera. No more burglaries have occurred in over 2 years.
  25. Personally, I think that the signs are more effective than the cameras.
