Top California official pushes ammo background checks
E4 No More replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Frankly, I couldn't care less. If Californians are stupid enough to vote for these idiots then the consequences are on them. -
TN Agencies ordered to return weapons to DOD
E4 No More replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
I think that the agencies ought to charge the Feds a "reasonable" processing fee just like they charged the agencies to receive the property. -
You'd think that they'd have learned from Lebanon.

I read it as fitting into either 1, 2, or 3; not all 3. And SR9 can violate 1A: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_SR9

Wouldn't "capacity" in 1 plus 1A add up to their definition of an "Assault Weapon"??? So 1 plus 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, or 1F hoses you right off. 2 or 3 hoses you too.

Knoxville Allowing Fair to Prohibit Guns in a Park
E4 No More replied to Just2Honor's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ha, ha, ha! Do the HCP possessors of Knoxville get to opt-out of any financial penalties/costs that are imposed? -
Agreed, the animal is just being an animal. No excuse to intentionally end their life in a cruel manner. When my FIL mentioned intentionally gut-shooting them so they'd run off to die I admit that I didn't say anything to him. He's in very poor health and can't see crap, so I figured the odds of him making from Missouri to South Texas were slim to begin with let alone take a shot at anything. The outcome was as I expected with him not shooting anything.

That's my suspicion as well.

But they had to go to a wedding party to figure out who they were. If it was a business deal then you'd think the couple would have just said who the attackers were.

Good to know guys, thanks. I'm a big fan of smoked meat so I'm guessing the difference would be negligible. EDIT: Another reason that I asked is that I've heard a lot of people indicate that they just shoot them as pest control - never in the context of food except the OP. I do not agree with what his plan was, but my FIL talked of going down to Texas and shooting the hogs in the stomach so they'd run off to die. Fortunately, he didn't get a shot off because at 80 he can't see crap!

I'd sure like to know the reason for the attack. That kind of anger out of both assailants, and to the extreme demonstrated, is just weird. $7,500 bond seems awful small. What are we missing?

Let me preface this seemingly stupid question with saying that I'm NOT a hunter, but is there a difference in the meat of a feral hog compared to a domestic hog? I ask because I'm considering purchasing 132 acres. I want to set up the land to help sustain us with food and to hunt if necessary. I want to raise cattle, hogs, chickens, and such along with a large garden in case SHTF. If there is no difference and feral hogs are prevalent then I won't need to worry about raising the hogs.

Feel free to jump in. As I've said a couple of times, this is not a good venue to discuss such things. I think people who don't study the Bible for themselves think that after one accepts salvation a true Christian doesn't sin, and that's simply not true. It makes Christians look like hypocrites. Jesus said that if you look at a woman and lust for her then you've committed adultery already in your heart: therefore, if you think it then you've done it. This is why EVERYONE is sinful. That's what his message to the Pharisees, (who thought they don't sin), was all about. Accepting God's grace separates the physical from the spiritual; the sin from the sinner. License to sin? No! But Jesus' blood is the filter through which God looks at his children. I sin like everyone else does but I try to control it, and I don't believe God rejects me when I inevitably fail. Matthew 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

I never said that he wouldn't forgive it; I said that I like to think that I wouldn't deny him while I was figuring out how to kill the fellow. There's a difference between spiritual warfare and physical warfare after all.

The noted 10 Commandments are referred to as the law. The law was for the Jews prior to Christ. The topic is a large part of the book of Romans, and is more than I can write in this venue: however, I find it strange when people want to point to the 10 Commandments and can't even recall what the very 1st Commandment was let alone keep it. Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. Romans 7:6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. If you want to rely on keeping the law then you might want to look at this: Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Speaking for myself, it isn't about feeling guilty about lying to someone; it's about denying a God who doesn't deny me. What many can't comprehend is that there is no black and white with God - nor is there a degree of wrong. You either did wrong or you didn't. The difference is whether you are charged for it or not, (impute = charged). For reference: Psalms 32:2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit is no deceit. Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Notice in the second verse it is future tense.

I have to admit that I'm curious as to how DaveS is in non-compliance. Seems to me that other than transporting the live hogs to be used for sport hunting one can kill as many feral hogs as one desires.

Just because you are a true believe doesn't mean that you want to die. God says to die is to gain: however, I still worry for my wife and family. I'm not afraid to die, but I do fear how I die. You can't reconcile forgiveness because you can't think as God does. That's a hard thing for people to grasp, and they complain that God doesn't do what we think God should do. Well, we aren't God. Again, this isn't a good venue for this kind of conversation. This is best done face-to-face with someone who's well-grounded in the Bible; not religion. God isn't about a religion; he's about a relationship.

Under a stressful situation in the heat of the moment, it isn't easy to say with accuracy what you would really do in this situation. Monday morning quarterbacking is very easy, no? This is a very complicated subject to communicate in this venue to someone who doesn't believe: however, suffice it to say that once you are "saved" you are always saved. Not all "Christians" believe that, and, (IMHO), a lot of that differing belief stems from dogma rather than scripture. In my case I would like to think I'd say it, but I'd probably be more focused on going down fighting than answering questions, (even at my age). But most people question God's will because they don't understand the fundamental aspects of being a Christian, and they also confuse forgiveness of sins with mitigation of the consequences of sin. To put the concept to the extreme, if I were to murder someone I can be forgiven of the sin, but I danged sure am likely to go to prison/receive the death penalty. God doesn't tend to remove the consequences of your sin. PS: Also don't confuse God's will as God's want. They are two different things.

I've been kicking around the idea of getting a .357 barrel for my P320, so I'm interested in the feedback too. Getting a couple hundred fps out of it over a 9mm is appealing.

Amazing new holster design
E4 No More replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I like watching the expression on their faces as they try to comprehend what they just touched to the conclusion that it's a handgun. But having been in the church so long and their knowing that I head security, I also watch their expression as they conclude it ain't a big deal. :) -
The word "suicide" does not appear in the Bible. Catholics and some other religions teach that, but it is not founded in scripture. Jesus could, (in a sense), be looked to today as "Death by cop" for that matter.
