  1. Simple for you, maybe. LOL!   I know that it's a good bet that I have the cheapest contractor grade piece of crap for a breaker box that Classic Homes could possibly be putting into a house built in La Vergne in 2005. I have 220 powering the receptacle for my air compressor and welder.
  2. Not interfering. Do these help? First picture is the fuse box where I need to make some room. 3. Are you talking about the fuse box?
  4. The panel is just a plate. The plugs easily swap out, and then I run the wires back to the fuse at the fuse box inside the flexible conduit. My question was more about the breaker than anything else. I have the correct type of breaker for the box, and McGarrett answered the breaker question.
  5. Thanks, that's the diagram that I saw and your confirming the breaker makes me feel better. :)
  6. The only reason that I know this is because I just bought a P320 a couple of months ago. I think that the barrel can't be shared. It takes the same mags and holsters and frames IIRC.
  7. I wouldn't say that's strictly correct. The P320 is a redesigned 250 sharing much of the same parts.
  8. I am trading in my travel trailer for a fifth wheel. My travel trailer is 30 amp whereas the fifth wheel will be 50 amp.   I want to convert my current Eaton 30 amp outside RV plug set-up to a 50 amp set-up. I have a NEMA 14-50R flush mount plug, 8-gauge THHN wires in 8 feet length, and a 50 amp 2 pole breaker. It's my understanding that the black and red wires, (positive), go from each of the 50 amp breakers into the outside connectors on the plug and that they share the white wire for the negative side. This would be 50/125 to each socket on the plug.   Is this the correct set-up for an RV? What's got me questioning is the single pole 30 amp versus the double pole 50 amp. Essentially, going from 30/125 to 2 x 50/125.   The goobs at Home Depot weren't exactly confident, and I don't want to fry a $60,000 RV.
  9. It's the government that has no problems with spending our money. They don't need to actually have a worn-out gun to call it worn-out.
  10. Only because they tend to spray and pray rather than aim - particularly in Vietnam. Can't say as I'd enjoy getting hit with either rifle round though, but the military being confined to FMJ throws out the 9mm for me. Personally, I'd like to see them have rounds that vaporize the enemy upon impact. :)
  11. Sig P320.
  12. I would hope so. I'd like to get a 20 but the grooves are in the wrong place for people with large hands. My fingers rest mostly on the ridges.
  13. Females and small males, yes, but not a comparison to a 9mm.   For what it's worth I have .45, .40, and 9mm. :)
  14. The bear must have had a tumor in his olfactory region not to be bothered by the smell!
  15. This reminds me of the dog John Wayne called "Dog" in the movie, Big Jake. That dog growled softly to alert John Wayne when people were near. That would be perfect in my opinion. My dog is a rotty, and he starts with a growl and quickly transitions to a bark. He's smart but thinks he's an ambush predator, (like a Mountain Lion), but only with squirrels, (he quietly sits at the bottom of the trees staring upwards). He's killed any critter that comes into the back yard and which is too slow to escape him to include squirrels, cats, and even skunks. Surprisingly, he can accomplish killing skunks without getting full-on sprayed. He's very protective of the property but I think that he relies on me to protect him since I'm the alpha. Neither of us have had occasion to test that out, and I'm really ok with that.   So my dog would probably be more of a liability but I don't care because I love him.
  16. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/11/04/battle-joined-army-panel-backs-wwii-vets-posthumous-bid-for-medal-honor/?intcmp=hpbt1   This guy is a certified bad ass! :usa:
  17. My only complaint so far is that they advertise the large carry grip module but don't have it available. Sig tells me they don't know when it will be released, so I have to buy the medium for now. It sucks to have big hands. :(
  18. I like Kershaw, but that handle would be too small for my big paws. I'd have to go with the Launch 1...maybe.
  19. In a weird way you were lucky.
  20. I can't say that I'd be heartbroken if China and Russia got it on. IIRC, there's plenty of history there to make that a possibility.
  21. I agree that would be a probability. But China wouldn't be the first country in recent history that got too confident and bit-off more than they could chew. Germany comes to mind here.
  22. I can't say as I would hang my hat on this test. The massive gelatin test in the other thread shows great disparity in the various loads/bullets of the same caliber, so comparing two loads of 9mm JHP with one load of .357 JHP doesn't paint the entire picture.
  23. The movie is to illustrate a point; not an example of real life. Ballistic subs have to communicate with a central command that is functional to its fullest, no? In a civil war do you think a central command would be working business as usual while the country tears itself apart? I highly doubt that. A civil war would fracture everything to include the military. That would degrade the responses from us to include a nuclear response. I have no doubt that countries like China who do not value human life would be willing to sacrifice a few million of their comrades for knocking us out.
  24. I agree to the first part but not your conclusion. The movie Independence Day is a good illustration of how opposing sides will band together to fight a more powerful and common foe. A smart enemy will attack when we are weakened, and if they wait long enough we'd be weak enough to easily conquer regardless of our attempts to rally together. Just that simple process of rallying can take too long to be effective.
