  1. Amazing to see so many advocates of the 1st & 2nd amendments perfectly ok with the idea of throwing the 6th out of the window. Don't get me wrong; I don't care if the guy died by his own hand, or died from returned fire, but PD doesn't have the right execute him by any means if that's what happened.
  2. I work with a couple of Muslims over the recent years. One was from Pakistan and the other from Palestine. Both were nice and peaceful. The one from Pakistan denounced the fundmentalist's ACTIONS only. The other didn't strike me as much of a practicing Muslim: however, what he told me about what's really going on in Palestine was quite an eye-opener.
  3. I couldn't care less either way. I also don't think that veterans are naive enough to think the Muslims would do otherwise considering the targets at which we shot.
  4. I'd like to know why the legislature ignores the point of...what entitles any private entity to search anyways?
  5. What makes you think that they don't?   Personally, it doesn't bother me if they do.
  6. Personally, I have nothing against any Bible coming out of the Textus Receptus, but others I do since Origen Adamantius admitting to having changed the scriptures that he got to fit his personal belief system as a follower of Plato. I do default to the KJV for various other reasons.   As far a Muslims are concerned, most are just like us. They view us as we view them. Unfortunately, humans have a herd/school/tribal/gang mentality. The movie "Independence Day" highlighted that pretty well when all of the nations banded together to defeat the aliens.
  7. God didn't set-up a single man in charge of the church, (contrary to some people's beliefs), because men are fallible, (also contrary to some people's beliefs). Paul scolds some of the churches in his time to demonstrate that the saints are fallible. God also set-up bishops, (leader), elders, and deacons who are a leadership and servant structure to teach and minister to the saints of that church, but the onus to study is on the individual saint; not the pastor as we call them nowadays. Humans are lazy, and when you rely on the pastor to tell you what to believe and not believe you fail and set the pastor up to fail.
  8. "It has become obvious that you guys have never been exposed to the Independent Fundamental Baptist faith that was so prevalent in the South in the 50s-80s."   To this sentence I was stating that you are wrong. You who preach to others on this forum to not characterize an entire faith by the actions of a few fundamentalists did exactly the same thing in your statements about Baptists, and specifically Independent Fundamental Baptists.   Clearly, by other statements you've made, you have a problem with God's word. That's between you and God just as it is between others and God when they fail in their belief system because they do not study and correctly divide God's word for themselves as directed in 2 Timothy 2:15 where it says "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth": therefore, they spread disinformation about God AND his saints. Who's that the work of?   Whether or not you or anyone else believes in God is your business, but I and many others are under direct orders to share the truth with anyone else who is willing to hear it, and that is NOT forcing anyone to believe it.
  9. I am in a Southern Baptist Church now, and just last Sunday our pastor stated that any form of racism is not biblical. He got a loud amen from the congregation. It boils down to the fact that anyone can call them selves Baptist since there's no governing body over the Baptist other than God.
  10. Wrong! I am from an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church, and they were nothing like that. In fact they made no rules at all.
  11. Oh the horror! How did you ever survive such atrocities?
  12. Exactly about the love part, and I mean love the action rather than love the emotion that so many associate with the word.
  13. Perhaps it was a Primative Baptist Church? The ones who believe in snake handling and such?
  14. It sounds to me that RevScottie is a bit butt-hurt because a Baptist shared their belief with him in the past and he interpreted it as the person trying to force their belief on him while not understanding that that is exactly what a belief is: something that you believe to be true. Would he prefer to be lied to? I have never seen any Baptist put a gun or sword to someone and tell them to believe what they believe or they'll kill you. That's not to say that there aren't any out there, but they haven't made the news that I'm aware of, and they certainly wouldn't be Baptist or Christian in my estimation.
  15. Just because someone calls their self a Baptist doesn't mean that they are indeed a Baptist. Although Baptists associate with such organizations as the Southern Baptist Convention, they are independent. It's not structured like the Roman Catholic Church or Greek Orthodox Church where they roll-up to a central authority other than God.   Just ask the pasty-faced Democrat in New England who claims to be a native American.
  16. Man! Why can't people break-up like adults? If you can't live without her then man-up and kill yourself; not others. It seems that the nuts are coming out of everywhere.
  17. Really? Do we specifically target innocents to kill? Statements like this take away from the message that you are trying to convey.
  18. Personally, I hand the officer my license, HCP, insurance, and registration without being asked regardless if I'm carrying or not.
  19. I thought that Arabs wore Keffiyehs (SP?) anyway.
  20. You think there are no "bad Muslims" who moved here?
  21. Not all people who call themselves Christians are Christians.   And American Muslims may not have strapped explosives to their backs but they have certainly loaded bombs into cars, tried to blow-up bridges, spread their hate, and even tried to excape American authorities by moving to Yemen so they can direct others to do their dirty work.
  22. Boy, are you ignorant of fundamental Baptists! I've been in several fundamental Baptist churches and no one tried to force me to do anything. Not saying that there aren't some out there, but generally speaking you are way off base.
  23. How dare you question the intellectual elite!!! :bat:
  24. That's a two-edged sword. To the uneducated who do not know that many citizens with HCPs shoot more than the average cop, they'll see it as said citizens inherently having a worse hit probablility than the police.
  25. Ah, makes sense, thank you!
