[emphasis mine] Where are foreign terrorists covered in this statement?
  3. Police have read suspects the Miranda Warning for many decades yet lawyers' number one complaint is that their clients still cannot keep their mouths shut. These people want to die as martyrs, and are proud of what they have done. The act of reading them their rights will change nothing. What concerns me is the administration's mindset towards the terrorists this action indicates. To any numb-nut that thinks the Constitution applies, how many terrorists existed when the founding fathers wrote that wonderful document? Also, if you feel so strongly about it then you must agree that blacks and women do not count as much as a white man.
  4. I use the Blackberry Storm, and I'm fairly happy with it. I use it for phone, texting, and music. I'm hoping that they'll write more apps for it. Drawbacks are the keyboard with big fingers. It's not easy to type for me. Surfing the web is frustrating, but I think that would be so for every phone. I also like having my home emails forwarded to the phone.

  7. Yes'um. Two Rivers Ford is now my dealership of choice. Edit: Doug went the extra mile to help me.
  8. Long story short: It blew a head gasket on me at 100 MPH in 4th gear. That pressurized the cooling system, dumped the coolant on the tires, and put me into the wall just South of 100 MPH. I hit so hard that it snapped the 14" disc brake rotor on the driver's side, and both iron engine mounts. The insurance adjustor said he'd never seen a disc that big snapped in two. My right hand snapped the shifter at the welded shaft below the knob. I was lucky to have relatively minor injuries. Note: The air bag stopping you is like someone slamming a bowling ball into your chest.
  9. True, CDMA and GSM, (I think that I have my terms right for it has been a few years), are both used - with the former used in the US and the latter used in European networks. Some phone, even back when I sold them, had both so your phone would work in Europe too, but CDMA was what was used in the USA where we are talking about. But things can and do change. I stand by Apple not being too smart.
  10. Yep! It was re-designed. I haven't owned a truck since my 1991 Silverado that I only owned for a year, and I love this dang thing! I been driving the white Fusion in the pic and a Shelby GT500 before that. Going from the GT500 to the Fusion was like a fighter pilot stepping into a Piper cub. The truck is a great change, and I can sure as heck get my big a$$ in and out of it a lot easier.
  11. I sold cell phones several years ago. The infrastructure is shared by the carriers based off of industry standards. If they each had different protocols, your Verizon phone wouldn't work on the AT&T network, or your Sprint phone wouldn't work on an Alcotel (SP?) network, for example. There is a butt-load of corporate sniping going on out there, and it always seems to come down to money. Verizon wouldn't pay whereas AT&T did. I ask, how many more phones would Apple sell if they'd reached a compromise with the other companies?
  12. I hope so. I have the Blackberry Storm right now - which I like - but I'd like to have the apps the Iphone has. One is a ballistics table app. That'd be cool.

  14. I don't know the details, but with working for Dell I know some of how Apple does business, (as well as Dell). I doubt that it was as your posts suggests in that Verizon just didn't want to carry the phone. Verizon probably didn't want to pay Apple what they wanted for the privledge to carry Apple's phone.
  15. Apple's big mistake was attaching their self to AT&T. I would have gotten one if they offered it at Verizon.

    War is uncivilized by its nature. I get tired of liberals trying to make it civilized, and then wonder why we lose. Perhaps it is they that we should send into combat first.
  18. Still 94/6! You could comment to your school all you want to no avail. They got your money, they realize you'll give them no more money, and they'll claim that they taught correctly, and it's just the world getting to others. You might as well fuss at a concrete wall.

    Torture Poll

    I'm no expert, but I believe that the subject has to have a willing mind in order to hypnotise, and then how do you know it's not fake. I also believe that you can train someone to resist truth agents although I don't know that the average terrorist has that luxury in their training schedule.
