  1. ...its cover: ?Never been kissed? singer, 47, wows Cowell - TODAY Entertainment Listen to the video if you can.
  2. They can still ask you to leave whether posted or not. But you'd think they'd want their customers armed with as much as they get robbed.
  3. I think it's quite obvious that several people care. It's news because it's hypocrisy. All the crap storm about the Big 3 CEO's flying private jets to Washington being wasteful, but this is ok? If you have "more important things" to care about, feel free to do so.
  4. I'm trying to get back into shape. I lift heavy weights for 1 hour at lunch 5 days per week. I do 50 minutes on the elliptical in the morning 4 days per week, (I don't do it after the legs work-out on Thursdays). For you younger bucks, it's much easier to maintain your shape than to try and get it back in your late 40's!
  5. My only carry is the M&P 9mm sub-compact. My two methods of carry are the OWB and the SmartCarry holsters. I wear elastic banded shorts in the summer most of the time, and un-tucked shirts all of the time. The SmartCarry is best for that.
  6. Obama orders pizza from St. Louis, Chicago miffed 2 days ago CHICAGO (AP) — The news is hitting Chicago deep dish pizza makers' eye like a big pizza pie. President Barack Obama is having 140 people over to the White House Friday night for a some deep-dish pizza — St. Louis deep dish pizza. It seems during his campaign he had pizza from a restaurant called Pi in St. Louis. That's the story Pi assistant manager Lindsey Tornetto tells. Whatever happened, the restaurant says the owner and his partner packed dough, cheese and pizza pans in their suitcases and flew to Washington. It all has Marc Malnati — owner of 30 Lou Malnati's Pizzarias in the Chicago area — shaking his head. He says he likes Obama's economic policy, but thinks the president's pizza policy should change. Information from: Chicago Tribune, http://www.chicagotribune.com AND Brent Hunsaker - President Obama's "Pizzagate" President Barak Obama wants to have 140 folks over to the White House Friday. He wants to serve pizza. That must be the pizza made famous in his hometown of Chicago, right? Wrong. The pizza will be from St. Louis. Marinara sauce from pizzarias all over Chicago will soon be flowing in the streets like... err... marinara sauce. How can this be? Their favorite son is turning his back (and his taste buds) on them? That's bad enough, but again, it's coming from St. Louis! Perhaps not mortal enemies, but St. Louis and Chicago have been bitter rivals for some time. The Cubs may not be able to show off a World Series ring from this century, but Chicago has always had the deep dish pizza. St. Louis is known for the brew that goes with the pizza -- the foamy stuff that made Adolphus Busch a few million dollars. And there's the Cardinals. And that arch thing. But pizza? And it just gets worse for Chicago's pride. The long distance pizza delivery (I trust the President tips well) is coming from a newcomer. The restaurant, Pi, has only been in business for about a year. So, just a year in business and Pi can already beat the best of Chicago in a dough throw? Really? Pi's owner, Chris Sommers, is a longtime Obama supporter who first met the candidate at a fundraiser. He later served up his St. Louis style pizza to Obama's staff while they were on a campaign stop in October. Sommers confesses he wasn't sure Obama would even eat it, but he did and he loved it. Sommers' plan for Friday is not to deliver the pizza a la Dominos, but rather deliver the pizza fixin's and himself. He will bake the pizza fresh in the White House kitchen. (Good luck getting all that dough and sauce past T.S.A.'s airport screeners. "Sir, you're only allowed 4 onces of liquid ... No sir, I don't care who it's for.") So does this make the President a deep dish traitor? To hear some talk in Chicago, yes. Newport Television LLC
  7. Standards and waivers are not static. They change according to enlistment goals being met. Unfortunately for you, the economy is driving numerous "healthy" young'ns into the recruitment offices.
  8. I know that. I was agreeing with your approach.
  9. That's nothing. On a car forum I go to I have a thread that is now on page 986, and growing!
  10. There is a difference - in my mind at least - between a lecture and an explanation. I've used the latter when I was a policeman, and have seen the former abused. I can see that some would think an explanation is a lecture, and to those I say get over it. You have the right to be fully informed of what you are charged.
  11. Well, at this point in time he's dealing with a hypothetical action. It doesn't alarm me. At least he responds to you, (or more accurately, his staff did). Alexander doesn't respont to anything I've written him.
  12. If you refused service to everyone who was anti-gun you wouldn't have a very successful business. Personally, I would respectfully dispute her claims just as the proprietor did in this case. But recognizing the fact that, generally speaking, women need to feel protected by someone else whether it be by a man or the law, I would establish my credibility by informing her that I am a former policeman, and then educate her in how she can learn to trust her own abilities with greater certainty than she can another's.
  13. Personally, I don't think that the big chains will post at all. The chains based out of Tennessee are the likely suspects. Take the Calhoun's owner for example. He's certainly against it.
  14. I guess that you don't get it, so I'll withdraw from the discussion.
  15. Then explain all the errors on MSNBC's web postings.
  16. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't cast stones...or attack someone's writing.
  17. There are many officers who think their authority entitles them to lecture someone. Heck, judges do the same thing. I've never seen a law granting authority to include a provision to lecture anyone.
  18. Personally, I would tell the bus driver to step on it!
  19. Doing good Nate, and you're welcome. This is "Snake Doctor" on SVTOA. This forum is much more active.
  20. Those are the favorites, yes. I do like the Golden Eagle Mongolian BBQ in the boro.
  21. Would this be the same Natedog from SVTOA? I have a M&P 9mm sub-compact with CT grips, and I find that they lose their zero quite quickly. I also find them harder to sight with because your focusing on the dot rather than the front sight. Anyways, sighting in isn't easy since the allen wrench inserts on the same side as my gun hand.
  22. Crap! I'll be pissed if Cheddar's, Logan's, and Famous Dave's post!
