  1. I'm super jealous right now. Congrats
  2. When your shooting a gun you have the rifle stock against your shoulder the rifle never got to fully accelerate, and you brace for impact. 2 things you cannot do on the bullet end. Think about a shooting a rifle and just allowing it to fly back and hit your shoulder it would hurt like hell.
  3. Kinda looks like a condor bag, I think I'll order one.
  4. A show of force early, I like the way you think.
  5. I have my own theory, I don't have any facts to back it up, other than maybe what your stats might show. People who normally don't shoot or hunt or buy ammo are out buying it up. I've witnessed it several times when out looking for ammo the past couple of months. All those gun purchases aren't just long time shooters, I would guess a huge part where first time gun purchases. I've witnessed and talked to people buying ammo who are horribly uneducated in firearms and the ammo they were buying. This is only my opinion, but I'm curious if any of you guys are seeing the same stuff. Either way I'm sick of this ammo crunch, for lack of a better term, I wish things would level out.
  6. Ya those are sweet. I have one model that is like about 8-15 inches and the legs spring out when you hit the button and has notches in the legs about every inch for catches. I also have the long 3 piece ones where I can shoot from the sitting position that you have to pull the legs out and push a button to retract them. Edit* Models are HBLM and HB25 respectively.
  7. That must be the difference neither of mine are swivel models. Hey congratulations on purchasing what is one of the best brands of bipod around.
  8. The models I have do not have a separate place for reattaching a sling so for me my sling goes here.
  9. Ok I have 2 Harris bipods with that exact piece and that's where the sling attaches it's the same piece that goes around the original sling stud.
  10. It's for a sling, if you only have 1 sling swivel, you attach it there.
  11. X2 thought about sharing that on Facebook
  12. I have a 2001 Tacoma lifted 3" running 285/75r16 with 4.30 gears and custom rock sliders. And hopefully a custom rear bumper to come soon. I hit Windrock a couple times a year, nothing serious since my truck is my daily driver. Finally added pics, she's nothing fancy but I can still drive it everyday and still have some fun every now and then.
  13. Ya I've definitely gotta do more food but I want something I don't necessarily have to stop and cook. As for shelter I have a total of 3 space blankets, 2 adventure medical that are 60"x96" and one from the ultralight survival kit thats smaller, I was planning on using one of the bigger ones overhead and one underneath and the small one as a cover if needed. If your talking about the camillus knife I just got it but I love it so far.
  14. While I do agree with your logic, I don't plan on using a non military style bag because I prefer the utility of the military style bags and in the situations that I'll need this bag anyone with any luggage will be targeted. If I'm on foot 35 miles from home then it's real bad like emp or invasion or marshal law type of situation.

  16. Ahh yes I'm familiar with the many uses of feminine products. The only thing that will be on my side crossing through oak ridge Is the high concentration of anti-gunners.
  17. I actually thought of that after I submitted my post. Sweet I love show and tell.
  18.   Great kit!   If things really get bad, my challenge will be getting through Oak Ridge, might even have to cross it at after dark because its more densely populated.  Once I get through Oak ridge it become more rural and I can stay on the outskirts and keep it covert.  Hard walking in some places sure, but I think even worse case scenario I could make it in 48 hours.
  19. I like it! Just curious, why does everyone have safety pins in their survival kits I have some now but other than pining clothing back together and maybe using it to dig out a splinter I can't think of other uses for them.
  20.         Wow that's a lot of stuff.  That sounds more like a I'm not coming home bag, Just curious, how much does your pack weigh?  If I have to bug out back to home, I would have to travel 35+ miles on foot.  I'm not in the best physical condition but I'm improving slowly, I'm training for my first 5k so I've been doing 3.5 miles at the track at least 2 times a week.  After the 5k I plan on doing more hiking with with my pack to find out my pace and hopefully improve even more.
  21. That's perfect ill look into that.
  22. I'm more of a "bug in" type but I would still use my truck for an emergency escape once I'm bugged in.  So in my case we would pool together the fuel from gas cans we keep around and any vehicles and all that would go in my truck for an emergency escape.     Edited my post with pics
  23. Very nice maybe I can figure out how-to print my specific area
  24. Oops, didn't make myself clear, I have a silent cat and I have had only 1 lead pellet go supersonic out of the 150 or so lead pellets that I've shot through mine. Sure the guns that shoot 1250+ fps with supersonic alloys, you probably can't get those below supersonic. But specifically the silent cat you can shoot cheap daisy lead, or the gamo redfire, or the gamo bone collector and keep it subsonic.
  25. The noise from an air rifle is the projectile breaking the speed of sound, so for quieter shooting stay away from the PBA, or any "alloy" supersonic pellets plus I've found they don't penetrate very good because they are so light and soft. If you go with the actual lead pellets then all you will hear is the spring unload no noise from the muzzle or projectiles.
