I'm sure it's on S. Dalton Pike. I'm going to try and stop by this weekend.

I'd like two, satin finish (silver) King Cobras. 2" and 4" to keep my 6" company. Been checking Gunbroker, but prices on Colt revolvers have gone crazy.

We all know these things are only going to keep the smash and grab guy from running off with it. I still don't like the idea of leaving my carry in the truck.

I guess we will have to decide to watch first or to just jump in. My first step will be practicing draw and reholstering, reloading, with droping or retaining the mag. Since I am old I will also have to work on getting up from one knee .

Great post Tung. If I had a business I'd have someone with your work ethics working for me. As for outsourcing IT to India, that trend is dying off. This is great news. When my wife has to deal with tech-support it takes at least two vodkas to get her calmed down.

Trying to finish up the trimwork in the sunroom, some brie, fruit and wine, early Christmas turkey dinner, and some more wine. Check TGO.

Me too. From what I've read it's a lot more fun than just putting holes in paper. The problem I have right now is my favorite carry and shooter is a Browning 380 dba, and from what I understand that cal. does not qualify for Idpa "stock service pistol" (9mm or larger). I guess I will have to get used to my S&W 5906. I'm hoping to it shoot for the first time tomorrow. And I don't want to hear about your carry has to start with a 4.

And after rereading your post, I'd be afraid it'd blow up in my hand.

Excam Derringer. This imported handgun is commonly known as a “junk gun” or “Saturday Night Special.” Such guns are of poor construction and therefore prone to unintentional discharge. The Excam, along with other imported junk guns from F.I.E. and Roehm/R.G. have been associated with numerous incidents of unintentional discharge. For example, in one incident that resulted in a lawsuit, a man was working in his son’s bar and carrying the gun in the pocket of his vest. When he bent over the ice machine the hammer of the gun struck a box and the gun discharged. The bullet penetrated his abdomen and exited his posterior right flank. Even the weapon’s instruction manual acknowledged that the pistol could discharge if it were dropped or bumped. Two expert witnesses in the trial testified that the pistol’s capacity to discharge if the hammer were to be inadvertently bumped constituted a design defect. Yet the gun was intended to be carried in a pocket rather than a holster, virtually guaranteeing that it would be bumped. The court upheld a $125,000 verdict stating, “The evidence...supports the jury’s findings that the TA38S derringer pistol designed and manufactured by Excam was defective in both its design and manufacture.” Some info for ya. I'd fill the barrel with epxoy and make a paper weight out of it.

HCP Holders - Supplemental Qualification Opportunity
Farman replied to Fallguy's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Randy, I will definitely agree with you that the average HCP student, and even most HCP holders, don't know how much they don't know. This is why I, you, Todd, and most everybody else I know of that does this kind of thing right, recommends to HCP students to take more training. I tell EVERY class....."Please don't stop with this. Take more classes. Even if it's not from me, that's okay, but let me refer you to some reputable trainers that I know" As we all know, 93 % WON'T take any further training. Half of that number won't even ever shoot their gun again unless they have to when their HCP expires. So, yes, I agree that (sad but true) many times when somebody is shopping for their HCP class, they will go for the sizzle rather than the steak. The above is by Bigpopa from an older thread and I agree with everything he says. I think this thread should have progressed more along the lines of more training and practice is a good thing. -
HCP Holders - Supplemental Qualification Opportunity
Farman replied to Fallguy's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
First. Don't forget to read my dad,s quote in my signature. Added strictly for my use. Second. I don't really see a need to requalify with every handgun I own, may carry and may have too use. But if anyone wants to, go for it. Third. If you do have to shoot someone and it's a "good shoot" I don't think it would matter what weapon you used.(handgun or rifle). If, however, you take out three bystanders even with the weapon you qualified with you'll be in deep Do-Do. JMHO !!! -
Welcome aboard Tom.

And we did 10 rds at 3yds, 10 at 7 and 20 at 15.
