  1. I'll attest to the awesome deal!!! At the counter when I was being "sold" my first handgun, S&W MP9, the guy said "oh...and you can use the rebate which gets you two additional mags!"....I thought wow, what a sales pitch....(Would I buy a car if it came with 2 more spare tires?).......sold on the gun!!!.....mags came about 4-6weeks later.......BHO came into power......mags went up.....happy loyal customer.
  2. I like showing up at the range with a self made can of heat, .45 230gr RN. You can shoot until your hand hurts.
  3. I think a kinetic hammer should be on your list of items to purchase. Its always nice to salvage a bullet every now and again. JMTC
  4. Like I said....I already knew the answer...just didn't want to take a 45 min drive to exchange them. Anybody want to buy 3K of CCI 350's??
  5. I know when you ask question, you most likely already know the answer. So here goes! I just got back from the Bench and looked at my purchase of 3K primers. They are CCI's 350 (large pistol magnum). I thought I had purchased the 300's(large pistol). So the question is, would anyone here use the 350 instead of the 300 for .45 auto 200gr SWC with win-231? Thanks for the opinions ahead of time.
  6. MusicMan, Check this out....I just posted It http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17748&page=3 What are you talking about with the wheely's taking more than an auto. I'd love to here how to get a little more umph/ft/sec??? Oh..if you live close enough to check out the new machine, we can drink the blue kool-aid together.
  7. Take a look at my new set up!!!!! Just got finished setting up my 650. I put out about 100 rounds in 6 hours. Now that's it up an running....watch out zombies:D
  8. A 625 is an awsome piece.....here's a picture of a FTF at an R&K downtown for $475.
  9. I'm in the same boat as for cost..... You should search this forum for the name "Uselton's." Let us know what you find. Welcome to the site!!
  10. Looks like I'm going to have to get an XD45 to see if I will have the same problem.
  11. I got back from the Expo in Franklin. Just as predicted....nothing really of interest. Ammo sales are still jacked up....that probably why there were so many cases still sitting there mid day. I figure it's like going to the museum, $10 to look around. A little history and some education.
  12. I think you have to use about a 100 grit on your hands, then it might grip better. The first and best 9mm I've ever purchased!!!!
  13. Those are some good deals if you can't get anything local!!
  14. That's very nice of you....too bad I live I live in the middle of the state.
  15. I would wonder if that would ever leave my safe.
  16. 2 on the left are speer and the 2 on the right are IMI brass. You will notice on the bottom of the casing that the two brass cases are not right! This happened while belling and priming the cases. I'm using RCSB dies and have a single stage press. I think these two brass casings are a smidge to big and don't fit in the dies properly. All the other 200 brass cases fit flawlessly. This is also posted for help on another site. Thanks in advance
  17. There have been way to many one hour lunches which have turned into 2.5hrs sessions. Its the work of creation that I love. 300gr HP .50ae boxes of 50 at a time. I'm not sure what is going to give me Carpel Tunnel first, single stage loading, or the firing of the DE .50ae. JMTC
  18. I just got headquarter's approval for a safe. That means clean out a large corner in the garage and ebay about $1500 worth of stuff. Mark is a nice guy willing to show the noob a quality product. I will try contribute my knowledge as I go. "If you build it they will come" This is a green light for future purchases.
  19. Good call on the "transferring from her to you!" They are all mine....yah, that's the ticket......I will definitely curbside check in. If someone does have a "pimp" pelican case that they are willing to lend for trip to-and-fro....I would be honored. Thoughts......(Remember the PIF section)
  20. Wow....that thread is really long and very confusing. If I can summarize what is going to happen then. All guns are divied up to me..cool..The long guns can be aquired, no FFL, and then transported to TN. The handgun will have to be transfered via FFL. and then if I wanted to ship the long guns to myself: Here the link from that previous post: http://www.nraila.org/GunLaws/Federal/Read.aspx?id=60 The excerpt from that site, under "Shipping Firearms." -A person may ship a rifle or shotgun to himself, in care of a person who lives in another state, for purposes of hunting.- This tells me that if I wanted to ship the long guns back to myself, for hunting purposes, then that would be OK. If I still don't have this correct..please let me know. Also, what is the cost break down of buying two gun cases(TSA cert) vs. FFL for 5 guns? Thanks
  21. previous search results: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8224&highlight=Gun+Cases Here's my situation. Long time family hunting rifles that my mom doesn't want in her house have to go. So while skiing in Utah in Feb, I'm going to get these guns and bring them home to TN. Now I've asked about how many guns and she says there are about 5, 4 long guns (2 shotguns/2 rifles w/scopes??) and one pistol. My question is what would you guys do for preparing this transport? i.e. what cases are going to be best for this one time transport and which are most affordable? Buy now and ship cases to the house in Utah, or get there and take my chances on finding a case? Here are a couple different links, anyone have thoughts on these. Sams still has their link active: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item_nbr=738731&landing=738731 But then there is this one: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=120349&pCatg=10240 Thanks for the help, I'll make sure to post all the pics of my..soon to be...collection!
  22. I've been looking at a couple different 1911's and have come to a conclusion. Spend the extra money up front!! I had to get my hands on a couple different types to understand the quality and difference of each. One small example....a Springfield that i picked up had lower sights that were not removable. (Or without a gunsmith and $) On the other hand the Kimber Custom TLE II has most of the mods that which I would've liked to have on my Springfield. The sights are dovetail-mounted and interchangeable. I do give credit to Franklin Gun Shop for letting me peruse the 1911 case and giving me the 101 course. Since I found this site my expensive impulse purchasing is down by 75%.
  23. I'm soon to follow your lead on a new 1911!!!!
