  1. Has anyone made is by yet? They aren't open on Saturdays or afternoons after 3 or 4. I can't seem to catch them when they are open for business.
  2. Dang...that seriously suuuuucccckkkksss!! (Making mental note to buy spare parts for the AR)
  3. That's true, you can get a money order for cheap. But most people are more interested in convenience.
  4. For longevity and maintenance you can't beat concrete. Something that stands out today can be completely hidden with growth in a year or so. I would look at building something into a hillside for stealth and insulation properties. Maybe a diesel generator for power. A little knowledge on manufacturing vegetable oil and bio diesel would help fuel the generator in bad times. Solar panels could help suppliment a battery reserve if it's not feasible to run the generator. Might want to construct a cistern at the same time for water storage.
  5. That's a great question. It's made by Gerber and it's an assisted opener, but it's not shown on any site I can find. Black titanium coated blade, flat gray metal belt clip with a safety on the opposite side. Wish I could find the box. I found it. It's definitely a Gerber FAST draw with a black blade. Can't find a pic anywhere but everything is exactly the same except for the blade color.
  6. I like reading it every time! lol
  7. I have to say that I think jackdog is right. You never shoot to maim, hurt, break a fingernail, you shoot an attacker center mass (or as close as you can get). I'm a decent shot and at the nice calm surroundings of a range I can hit whatever I want at a decent distance. But with the stress and adrenalin of being attacked I probably couldn't hit crap. I'm aiming for the biggest part and shooting till he stops attacking me. I hope to never, ever, be in the situation, but I'm not giving my life to a thug to avoid some two bit attorney.
  8. Ok...I finally got off my butt and got pics. Please excuse the crappy photography. From top to bottom: Bushmaster M4A3 (BIG thanks to Joe & Dan at HERO GEAR!!) Remington 870 Springfield XD(m) 9mm Keltec PF9
  9. I think (not an attorney) it means that you would be required to submit a list of all of the firearms in your possession and turn them in to the authorities. But like other have said, if you sold them all PTP, you no longer have anything to put on the list. All the pics I posted were swiped from some other guy, too. Can't remember his site.
  10. Man, looking at this just make me want to get another one too. I miss my bike. As I get older, well, lets just say that comfort becomes more of a factor. I would go for the Marauder now. But there's still a huge part of me that love the Ducati. But I don't think my back and knees could take it anymore. Getting old sucks.
  11. I think these are two different subjects. An authorized citizen carrying legally without the church requesting him do so does not change the liability of the church. BUT if the church discusses that certain members carry for the sole purpose of protecting the congregation in a time of need and either accepts volunteers, or chooses members to serve in that role. That is a whole different topic altogether. That type of action would make the church responsible for the actions of the members that the church has chosen or accepted to serve as, for lack of another term, security guards, without having the appropriate training.
  12. Launching dummies to train a dog and driving nails into concrete.
  13. There are several custom car interior companies around that can install a hidden compartment like this if you really want one. Just make sure to sit down when they give you the price. I like the seat mounted holster from above except that its openly visible when the door is open. Maybe some type of cover?
  14. For the first time today, I want to puke.
  15. Happy Birthday!!! Man...17...that was a good year, what I can remember of it...lol
  16. Whatever you do, don't take it to a range full of LEO or other types and shoot it. I believe it's considered a Class III weapon and without a tax stamp you could be in deep ****e.
  17. Not just a man. Any woman will find a way to kill her boyfriend, husband, etc. too. They just run you over with a car.
  18. That's what I thought. My Grandfather never, ever talked about his experiences in WWII. He was a POW. After he died I found a map that showed the route the Nazis marched them across toward the end of the war. The coworker always talked about it in explicit details. I'm not squeemish at all but some of the things he talked about still make me sick to my stomach. Always wondered if it was BS or his way of working through it.
  19. I know PayPal charges a fee but I think you would get a much better response if there was a way to pay via CC. I would like a couple but I don't even have a check book. I haven't written a paper check since 2001.
  20. Unfortunately this sounds waaaay to familiar. I had something similar happen to me a couple of years ago. She actually started driving over 100 miles (one way) to see if I was at work, drove past my house, etc. Really creeped me out when she transferred from Lipscomb to MTSU and moved to M'boro. Talk about growing eyes in the back of your head!
  21. Yeah...shoulda seen the look on my fiancee's face when she put her hand on my hip and found my XD(m)!!
  22. I'm sure some of the legal beagles around here can give you more details. I can't think of any negative impact on you unless she decides to retaliate by getting the above mentioned order of protection.
  23. Yep...april would be much better for me too. My fiancee is going to get he first trip to a gun shop for the sale. HA!! Payback for all those hours in Belk.
  24. I'm up for it....I have new toys that haven't seen the light of day yet.
  25. Isn't that part of the process upon returning? One of my coworkers has served for two tours in the middle east and he had 3-4 weeks of "decompression" after each tour.
