  1. There are really putting out some ugly cars. Try this one, we had one in the shop today.
  2. I can't get my mom to shoot a .22, even with those crappy CB longs.
  3. And it's 65mph speed limit for most of it. It's 40 miles from my house and I live in Manchester
  4. Portals are cool. You could always get one of these cheaper
  5. A click would have been better?! So you would rather you or your kids to be attacked by a dog than shoot the dog?
  6. I may be in the minority on this, but I have never been uneasy or afraid to carry with one chambered. It is a tool and it's only job is to go bang when I press the trigger. Even when I had my Glock, I tried to get it to go off and couldn't(not saying it can't happen). I even pulled my shirt through the trigger guard and nothing. I don't have any clothes with pull strings, so I couldn't try them. Just pay attention when you holster it and you'll be fine.
  7. Winchester WalMart has about 4K rounds of winchester 9mm 12.47/50 Also saw some 45 acp, 40, and 44. Also a ton of 308, 30-06, 270, 12 gauge
  8. Hero gear has some for around $100 I was only able to be there for a few minutes, so I didn't really get a chance to hang out. I had planned to get there earlier.
  9. I know of care packages and letters, but is there anything else? The offroad club I am in host an event and we have a raffle at the event to raise money for charities. Last year was breast cancer, but I want us to give the money for our troops on the next one. It shouldn't be a problem to get the club to do it.
  10. This is on the handgun permit page of the TDOS website On November 20, 2009, the Davidson County Chancery Court held that the law allowing Tennessee handgun carry permit holders to carry their handguns into establishments serving alcohol was unconstitutional. As a result, the prior law which prohibited all persons from carrying firearms into establishments serving alcohol is back in effect.
  11. I know they do more than just a NICS check, I have a permit. What will keep you from getting a permit that won't keep you from buying a gun?
  12. The sheriifs have no say here in Tennessee either. From 39-17-1351. Handgun carry permits. ( Send a copy of the application to the sheriff of the county in which the applicant resides. (2) Within thirty (30) days of receiving an application, the sheriff shall provide the department with any information concerning the truthfulness of the applicant's answers to the eligibility requirements of subsection © that is within the knowledge of the sheriff. Tennessee is a shall issue state, if you can buy a gun from an FFL you can get a permit. There is nothing the Sheriff can, legally, do about it.
  13. I just finished the book today and it was a really good read. Look forward to seeing the movie.
  14. I guess the guy changed his mind. I sent an email requesting pics and more details after he responded to my want add. But I haven't heard back. oh well
  15. IDK, I actually prefer using the same hand to pull the shirt up and draw. I think with practice you could draw fairly efficiently this way.
  16. But if you are FTF with an attacker who has a knife or gun of his own, you will need to use your weak hand to defend while you draw.
  17. Most of that extra money would have already been spent if I wasn't so indecisive.
  18. CIS teaches to get the gun in the fight as soon as possible. When you draw bring the gun straight up to your ribs. The butt of the gun touching around the top of your ribs just below your chest. With the gun leaning out and down, that way you can take shots at an attacker that is within arms reach and they won't be able to get the gun. 7 minutes into this video is the best demonstration I could find right now. I will keep an eye out for a better demo of this method.
  19. Back on topic Rightwinger- What trigger messed up on your brothers rifle. What about Armalite 2 stage trigger? Lower parts kit and all for $150ish
  20. To put it into more perspective at 1 million rounds thats 274rds/day, everyday, for 10 years, or 120rds/day, everyday for 23 years.
  21. I haven't seeb it yet, but have read reviews saying there was no CGI
  22. You mean figuratively?
  23. How does it compare to the Geissele SSA? I have narrowed it down to 3, either a worked over stock, the Timney, or the SSA. The SSA being at the bottom of the list right now, because I don't know how well I will like a 2-stage trigger. I think I might get a worked over stock trigger for the AR I have now and put a Timney in the Stag lower.
  24. I was just looking at that one as well as the Geissele SSA Combat trigger.
  25. Don't touch nothing? I didn't think the RRA was adjustable. I have been reading some more on the RRA and I am seeing some reliability issues.
