  1. Looks like there's a new one in Tullahoma. Gonna stop in there this weekend and check it out
  2. That's a good price, I'll have to look for your table.
  3. Don't fear plastic mags, there is no reason to. Our troops are using them overseas. The best mags out there for ARs and AKs are plastic. IDK about the AR mags, but the good plastic AK mags are metal lined like Glock mags.
  4. I like this one SNEAKY - URBAN FIGHTING BELT
  5. The 3 outdoor ranges I have used are not gated at all. But if it will not be open to the public, a gate would probably be a good idea. Target stands made from metal will last longer. Wood stands will get shot up, rot, and fall apart. Or people can bring there own.
  6. I know it's a dual spring system, but if the OAL is the same then the single spring system could work
  7. Couldn't you just run a regular spring in the Gen4 17?
  8. People do trusts all the time in Tennessee. Trusts have way to many benifits not to do one, IMO. To name a couple-You don't have to be with the gun all the time whenever it is out of the safe, if you die your wife or kids don't have to have it transferred to them if they are on the trust.
  9. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/cain-law-firm/37413-new-vendor-special-offers.html Cain law firm in Franklin Tn, also a vendor here. The way i understand it, without a trust you have to be with the gun or else it is locked up where only you have access. With a trust several people can be named, so you don't always have to be there. So your son, wife, freind, or whoever you have listed on the trust can take the gun to the range without you. Plus you don't have to do the fingerprints, pics, CLEO signoff.
  10. I plan to go, probably Sat morning.
  11. You forgot the 24 it is 40S&W to.
  12. The way I understand it is you can't make a pistol into a rifle, but you can make it into an SBR. But then they sell those mechtec upper with 16" barrels to go onto a glock frame, so I don't know. If I were going to do an SBR I would skip the glock and go with a MP5 clone or maybe an UZI type SBR.But a folding stock AK would be cool to.
  13. Just post up the instructor info and review in the thread linked below. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tactics-training/12664-tn-handgun-carry-permit-schools-instructors.html
  14. I live in Manchester and have been every year. As long as you don't mind smelling pot or seeing someone smoke or seeing naked chicks, you will have a good time. As far as I know, they search most or all vehicles that go in, but will not confiscate weed as long as you don't have a lot. How detailed of a search I don't know. I will ask around and see if I can find out. I'll hold the gun for you as long as you bring enough ammo so I can try it out at the range while you're there. Getting a safety deposit box at a bank, mentioned earlier, before you get in line to go in is probably your best option Curious, why do you advise against it?
  15. Not federal government, but lack of crimes didn't stop california from banning the 50
  16. Gun control laws have absolutely nothing to do with crime. They are all about controlling you and me. NFA laws, AWB, etc were all to control the average citizen.
  17. Yeah, more info on this one ETA:Nevermind I just looked it up, thanks.
  18. It's on their website with an estimated available date of Aug. It may have always been there I don't know.
  19. Not all black but.. Not exactly evil
  20. Them early Broncos are nice. There is a silver one that runs around in Manchester that has been restored. Very nice.
  21. I converted a .223 Saiga, but sold it last year. Thinking of getting another and convert it. But I will have to make do with this for now
  22. I have never worked some where that banned guns and don't see it happening anytime soon. If I did, I would likely keep a small gun on me anyway. Yeah if I ever needed it at work, I could get canned. Better to be unemployed than dead. But I don't have to worry about any of that, I can talk guns to anyone I work with and my boss has a collection of over 400 guns.
  23. No that wouldn't be a good idea. This is where that personal responsibility comes into play. Would you let your 6th grader take a 22 pistol to school? And just because there is a law saying that you can't take a gun into a bar isn't going to stop the drunk from having one and shooting you with it, it will only stop you from having a gun to defend yourself when the drunk pulls the gun and shoots you. My point is gun control laws only handicap innocent people from protecting themselves.
