  1. Excellent info. I'll order that part. Probably polish up the feed ramp a bit also. The Thunderbolts also fail to load as the hollow point catches on the feed ramp. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  2. This supposedly reliable bullet proof gun is anything but that for me. Absolutely hates Thunderbolt hollow points. I get a couple of FTEs every mag. I have some Remington round nose rounds that jam less often but still getting about 3 per 50 rounds. Seems to do worse when clean. I'm thinking about sending it back to Ruger. Any thoughts? Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  3. Wow, that's a ton of rounds!  Two IDPA matches in one!
  4. Cleveland is a big haul for me. I may have to give USPSA a try. I've heard good things. This hobby has a strangle hold on me! If I ever get an AR I have a feeling I'll be in the poor house trying three gun. Christmas needs to get here soon and drop a Dillon 550 under my tree. Not sure I can make it to December! Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  5.   I wish they made a third row seat vehicle.  They did a few years back and it sold very poorly.  The third row was roomy enough for two five year olds.
  6. I shot a qualifier at the Gallatin Gun Club this past weekend and really enjoyed the outdoor shooting. Who's got outdoor matches this Saturday? Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  7. It's in the electronics. It's more effective at managing which wheels need most traction. Each wheel is treated independently by the computer. I read an article about a hill climb test. I thinks it's a roller on one side and gravel on another. It's some kind of industry test. Rav 4 and CRV made it about six feet up. Forester went straight to the top with zero issue. I took out a Subaru WRX STI straight off the truck hauler in the rain and shot around downtown back roads at ridiculous speeds in the rain and it was like dry pavement. I've never felt such torque off the line and I use to have a pretty hopped up Mustang in my youth. Fun car to drive. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  8. Impressive! Most impressive!! Bonus points for the movie. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  9. I deal with all makes in the auto industry. In my opinion Subaru is building the most durable car on the road today. The all wheel drive is pretty amazing. It's much better than all wheel drive in other makes. I just bought an Infiniti FX35 because I needed third row seats. I would have bought a Forester had I not needed the third row. I would take a Forester off road vs a jeep any day. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  10. Me either. I saw one snap the spine on a neighbors dog with a kick and decided I didn't want to get that close. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  11. Not much different than middle TN deer! I think they are almost domesticated around Sumner county. I honk at them and they'll just look up as if to say hey I'm busy eating here! Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  12. Controlling and over protective are two different things. I'll also say this... Unless you have kids you can't understand any of this. Your entire mindset changes once you have children. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  13. Because intimidation is more effective! My two daughters are just a few years from being teens and you can bet I'm going to be the dad every boy fears. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  14. Windows actually runs better on my Mac than my Windows PCs. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  15. I have a Windows 10 based desktop with a core i7. It's tricked out with a few extras. My core i5 MacBook Pro runs all cross platform software much faster. I've been replacing my PCs with Macs as they die. After two years on a Mac I can honestly say it's worth the money and it's far superior in almost every way to a Windows PC. It's still just a smoking fast today as it was two years ago. Macs last whereas most computers are disposable junk. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  16. Well the right eye didn't work going lefty but that could be the unsteady hand. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  17. I actually think I may be able to shoot my little Springfield XD better than the CZ Shadow.  We will see!   That Shadow is brutal on my off hand shooting.  I need to hit the weights and get these little girly arms back in shape!   My left hand shakes like a crack head when I'm aiming weak hand.   Do you guys shoot weak hand with your dominant eye or go left eye?
  18. Well I guess it's good I had to work late. Those poor no shoots would have had lots of extra holes! Is anybody going to the GGC qualifier this Sat? I'm going to break out the CCP. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  19. Excellent. I'm going to shoot CCP and get classified in that division. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  20. Just show up? No need to register? Thanks. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  21. I've been on an indoor range with double hearing protection and these still give me a headache when someone is rattling off 20 rounds in an AR10. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  22. Maggie is my call on who gets the axe. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  23. People are playing reindeer games with my work flow today! It ain't flowing well! Crossing my fingers I'll get off in time. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
  24. I'll be there.  One week off is too much!
  25. Gotta pass this week. My attempt to not coach girls softball lasted one day! The league is short of coaches and I've got a license so... Hey I do get to coach my daughters on the same team again so that's a big plus. I'll see you guys next week. I've got to draft a team on Wednesday. Kind of bitter sweet. I hate missing church on Wednesdays. Sent from the Fortress of Solitude.
