    CPA

Be careful. Remember the CPA does not write the laws, he is just the messenger. oldogy
  4. Sounds like the old brown shoe army training. oldogy
  5. So, Mike, What kind of animals are those? I don't recognize the tails. oldogy

    CLEAN GUNS

Always nice when you get someone interested in guns and shooting. oldogy
  7. I can't believe anyone with military training could possibly fail the TN HCP test. oldogy

    Cabin

Probably would be helpful to know about where this cabin was to be built. oldogy
  9. FWIW, big old books can be purchased very cheaply at a book sale. Check with your library for sale dates. oldogy
  10. Interesting. It tells me the man is confident in his skill with a snubby. Ever hear of "mugging money" or cheap "decoys"? oldogy
  11. True or not, I can relate a similar incident to the first one. The company I worked for had installed one of the first scanning type checkout systems in a retail establishment. It was run by more of a small mainframe type computer that ran all the terminals. Seems that about every Sunday night that system would go down. Seems the cleaning folks were plugging in a big floor machine that had a motor throwing all kinds of electrical noise, thus taking down the mainframe. Took a few weeks and the maint guy looking for the key to the computer room to determine what the problem was. oldogy
  12. Guys, I'll throw this in here for what it is worth. This new government gas, aka ethanol will cause you all kinds of problems if allowed to stay in the system for any time at all. oldogy
  13. If you spray startimg fluid near the air intake while cranking it may fire and run so long as it can inhale starting fluid. If it fires with starting fluid and then quits it needs to have the fuel system cleaned. If you are not familiar with it take it to the dealer or someone who knows what they are doing. Good luck. oldogy www.cincinnatipowersports.com

I refuse to spend my money on anything coming out of that left coast enclave of weirdos AKA Hollywood. oldogy
  15. Stick around, Chris. Welcome to TGO, just part of the internet and internet culture. Once you realize what big bucks the mods and administrators here make you'll most definately want to hang around long enough to get one of those jobs. They have to earn their pay and perks somehow so they take it out on newcomers..... oldogy, who has pitched hay, hoed corn, yeah with a hoe, punched a cow or two, but never worked 'baccy
  16. Yep, since long before records have been kept. But the overeducated power hungry fools we have running the country would have us believe it is something new and all our fault.:D.....Just give us enough money and we'll not do something about it. oldogy
  17. It will be interesting to see who answers the questions and who avoids direct answers. IMO, question number seven should be worded to say gun instead of weapon. Too much ambiguity with the word weapon in this question. Gun or firearm would be much more specific. oldogy
  18. Is it possible that "tank XXXXXX" could have been used to ID the gun as belonging to a para military, defense group, some kind of government agency? Could be some history there:dunno: oldogy
  19. Remembering the Ford Explorer bad press and resultant price drop for those vehicles I would guess there are or soon will be some good buys on Toyota about now. oldogy
  20. Yeah, I have to agree %100 on this. I venture there is not a one of us who is now squeaky clean, who tries to know and obey all gun laws, who at one time or another has unknowingly committed a law infraction that would have meant a felony conviction. And each case for the restoration of ones rights should be evaluated separately..........by a common sense court, if there is a thing. oldogy
  21. Was glad to see this change. Although long out of uniform, I now execute a proper salute when appropriate. oldogy
  22. My first on road licensed car was a 1941 Chevy 2 door purchased in 1956. The car had been purchased new and driven very little 'till the owner was drafted. The car sat on blocks until long after WW11 as the owner never came home, KIA. I purchased the car from his mother when she decided it was time to sell it and I got word of the car through a friend. The car had a bit of body rust but mechanically was in great shape. New tires and other soft items made it very reliable transportation. I would pull the rear seat and throw my camping, fishing hunting gear in and off I would go. I could reinstall the seat if I needed a presentable vehicle or to carry more than three people. I have a picture of the car, me with my side arm and a deer stretched out across the fender ........Yeah, that is the way we brought deer home back then as we all did not have pickups and you sure didn't want to put a field dressed deer inside the car. I drove that car until I went to college. oldogy
  23. I consider my Mark 111 22/45 one of my favorites for plinking. oldogy
