    Glocks

26 here, love it. Carry it every day in my pocket. A 19 wont fit in my pocket.
  2. I carry my G26 in a Desantis Nemesis. It works well.
  3. I pocket carry my glock, so my ass doesn't have to worry, something else does... Needless to say, it is still there!

    Barrett 25mm

The barrel on the Barrett is too short isn't it? Will it not be considered an SBR? It says 17.6 inches.
  5. I'd just get some FOX spray. It is good stuff.
  6. Is your Blackberry in a holster/pouch? If so, it has a magnet in it that tells the blackberry it is in the holster, so it can turn off the screen and disable the keyboard. That is probably why it is going off with a blackberry. On a slightly related note, if you ever find your motorcycle does not trigger stoplight sensors, then get a hold of some neodymium magnets, and attach them to the bottom of the motorcycle. The sensor is just a large inductor coil buried in the ground and the strong magnetic field generated by the magnets will trip the sensor as if it is a large chunk of steel, like a car for example. This trick will work with those automatic gates and such too. Should you ever have to go up the wrong way of a parking garage/lot, simply toss the magnet to the other side, and voila.
  7. The Israeli method is fun to watch, in practice though... nu uh, not for me.
  8. There is plenty of oxygen in the space shuttle, its outside of it that is the problem. Not to mention those space gloves are quite large, and frankly, I don't see how they can shoot a P3AT with them on.
  9. I was going to call at around the 30 day mark, but I got busy and just forgot about it and later when I remembered I figured it would be here soon (that was about 2 weeks ago). When it still didn't show up I made the call just to see if everything was copacetic. That is when I got the "7 to 14".

    Walther P22 question

They are sweet little guns. My friend has one suppressed. He has only had minor issues with it, but nothing requiring him to send it to S&W, though he said it had a lifetime warranty. It is a very fun plink gun. I almost bought one until I got a killer deal on a Beretta Neos 6". The Neos's mechanism can't get any simpler. It is Glock simple.
  11. I'm at 62 days and made the call, 7-14 is what she told me. I shouldn't have to call and ask to get expedited, it should be the same for everyone.
  12. I took my test the 15th of Jan. Got finger printed a couple days later. I still haven't seen it. So, I made the call, 7 to 14 days. Funny how that works. I say wait 2 weeks then call, you will have it in 7 to 14 days if you do that. I bet it is all the people making calls jumping ahead of others that is causing the wait times to be as long as they are, lol.

    No .45's

I don't understand why the military uses 9x19 when it is limited to FMJ ammo. When you are limited to FMJ, logic as well as physics dictate that you want to make the biggest hole possible, because bullet performance has gone out the window. I'm a 9mm guy, but only with modern JHP ammo.
  14. Yuck! they took that and turned it into a Lo-Power!
  15. I like this viewpoint, the more I think about it I think I would go with a J frame before the 26, as you know you will probably go ahead and get a 26 down the line anyway. The J frame is different, and would be more fun to have a variety at the range. I don't agree with the statement that the 19 is as easy as the 26 to carry, I find the 26 much easier to carry. I can fit it in my pocket, noway could I do that with a 19.
  16. better for concealment: j-frame (assuming you go with a snubby) However, since you have a 19, a 26 can share mags. I'd go that route, but I am biased. Carry the 26 mag in the 26, and have the 19 mag as a backup. I have a J frame 642, but I leave it in the drawer at home. I like carrying the 26 more, and I can pocket carry the 26 too. Just nowhere near as easily as the 642. If you want to pocket carry, I'd go with a 642 or similar.
  17. No. It is factory ammo. You can go buck wild with Wally World ammo, it is all I shoot. You can shoot reloads all day long in a Glock, they just are not as reliable and obviously quality control is less so there is more of a risk to get a double charged round or something. What you DO NOT wan to do is shoot bare lead bullet through factory Glock barrels. Stick with Jacketed bullets, JHP, FMJ etc. The bare lead will foul up the rifling quickly, and cause pressure to increase and could eventually lead to damage or failure.

    Ruger SR9

man, that is horrible. Will Wolf not do anything to help you out? That is potentially very dangerous with all those squibs!

    My Kahr=crap

I agree about the tolerances of the gun needing to be excessively tight, but I also say that is a bad thing. If dirt, gunk etc gets in there and messes with those tolerances, you are looking at a less reliable gun, period. I hope it isn't 100% a tolerance issue, just for the simple fact that if the gun is that tolerance sensitive you are in a world of hurt if you don't have an OCD to keep your guns spotless. I dont see the injection molded metal as inferior at all, it should be fine because I have no doubt that Kahr sends those parts through a finishing processes to make sure they are within spec. I sure hope they aren't molding/casting those parts and just knocking the slag off and moving on. If they are, it is going to bite them in the arse and is probably biting already. Milling of the parts, even CNC would require large high production, so I doubt the operator is doing any "hand fitting", it would be on down the line in assembly, which is where the cast parts should also be "fitted" so I really think it is more or less a coincidence with the CW series in general being the problem. They are cheaper guns, they are cheaper for reasons that are unbeknown to us and it is just how it is. They dont make as much money on the CW models, therefore they are not going to spend the time on them as with the higher end P models. Are the cast parts the problem? perhaps. Are there other underlying reasons for the issues? I think so. I think Kahrs are a great idea and great concept, they just miss on execution just ever so slightly and unfortunately that is costing them business over the internet because rumors spread like wildfire. The best they can do is make it right, and have great customer service. If you get that gun back, and it isn't 100% I would expect a refund, or compensation of some sort like a new pistol that I would sell ASAP upon recieving it. [/rant] good luck!!
  20. The boar hog line was classic. Good line in Intolerable Cruelty too. My favorite part of that movie in fact. That and when he says "I love you like a sonovabitch"
  21. I was bored, and decided to make one myself. I did it in literally 5 minutes. I did it as a joke, and in no way think XDs suck. I would have an XD if I had more money to buy a new gun. http://www.xtranormal.com/watch?e=20090310231818730
  22. I like the XD9sc a lot. I have held one but have not been able to shoot one though, I will soon. I don't like the feel of it as much as my Glock 26, but that is just me. The 26 points dead on for me, so I would assume that a XD might point low? Who knows. Pick one that feels good to you. I think the PF9 is a good gun as well, but for your arthritis concerns, something with a wider grip will spread the energy out over a wider area and probably help to alleviate some of the pain. You could also look at going with a heavier gun, like a Sig or a metal framed Kahr. The extra weight would soak up a lot of the recoil, and should help you to avoid pain when shooting.

    Eye protection

Hey I didn't mean to come across like that, I just focus on details too much I guess. I'm very detail oriented. On a more serious note, I always wear ANSI rated full wrap shooting/safety glasses when I shoot at the range. I also wear safety glasses operating any machinery, such as a lathe or end mill even when they have guards in place. I like to play it safe.

    Eye protection

I believe you mean cornea, unless you have some bright flashing powder or shoot lots of tracer rounds.
  25. I had a similar situation unfold with me a few years go, but I ignored the guy. He kept honking his horn, over and over and over at every light. He was basically following me yelling and cussing at me, making what i would describe as "threatening maneuvers" with his car. I don't know if I accidentally cut this dude off or what. I bet if I had done anything back to him, it would have escalated the situation and he might have done something physical like try to run into me or something. He was in some old POS Lincoln and I was in my Trans Am. At the next light, he wouldn't shut up so when it turned green I was gone. I ducked off into a side street and made some maneuvers so he couldn't follow me. People like that are just nuts.
