After I shoot my new Glock 45, I've got a feeling that it may replace one of my bedside guns, lol. It feels better in my hand than the Shield I use for that purpose now. The Shield has a CT Laser/flashlight on it. I think I may end up selling or trading the extra Performance Center Shield I have, the one without the laser/flashlight. Coincidence on the Shield I'm keeping, the first 3 digits of the serial number are my initials, in the correct order. Talk about fate...

Yeah, that other one is a Sig "Carry" 1911, which is size equivalent to the Colt Commander. I like it too.

That's exactly how I feel! I also carry a Sig P-365XL withy a 507k daily, and have a couple S&W Shield with laser/lights for night time at the house, plus I still keep a S&W Governor with a CT laser on my bedside table with self defense rounds loaded, lol. The 1911 has to be the most wonderful handgun ever created! I've had several, but only have two sig 1911s now. My favorite used to be a Colt Combat Commander in a brushed stainless finish, but it was stolen several years ago when I lived in a rougher neighborhood. #What do you think about the Sig 1911s in my pic above?

My favorite handgun is my Sig 'We The People' 1911. It has a distressed stainless finish on it and several different patriotic factory engravings.

Yes, all the nurses said he was the best. Good bedside manner, and by all accounts a great surgeon too. He's done over a thousand of these, he said.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. Ill ask him when I see him for the follow-up/

Nope, just pain meds and muscle relaxers.

I've had a pinched nerve in my neck along my spine that has been causing me a lot of almost constant pain all the way down my left arm to my hand. It was so bad that, while it wasnt real debilitating, but the pain was significant and no medication seemed to help. i was referred to a neurosurgeon, Dr. Ernest Wright, and he performed a surgery Friday to remove 4 collapsed vertebrae in my neck and replace them with spacers. I was in Ascension St Thomas Hospital for Specialty Surgery over Friday night after surgery and discharged yesterday. For this surgery, they go in thru the front of the throat to the spine, so i have soreness and some pain in the front as well as more pain in the back, and it'll be hard to eat and drink (swallowing) for a few days, but I think the surgery is going to fix the issue. If anyone has to have this procedure done, I highly recommend Dr. Wright and St Thomas. The staff in ICU that took care of me before and after my surgery were very caring, comforting and professional. Never having had major surgery before, I was, quite frankly, very afraid, but the nurses went out of their way to be calming and reassuring to me.

He was my favorite too. I remember at one time I had a Man from UNCLE toy kit that had credentials, gun, and a few other odds and ends...man, I loved that!!

That is reprehensible! Insurrection, my a@@. -
Saw a clip,of his speech thanking his employees and Amazon customers, then he said they paid for this…I don’t think it came across like he meant it to be…unless he’s more arrogant than I thought. Shows just how out of touch he is.

I’m going to get it.

Same author (William R. Forstchen) wrote another one about a solar flare, but I haven't read it yet. He also collaborated with Newt Gingrich on some Civil War and Revolutionary Wat books. The Revolutionary War ones were as awesome as well. HIGHLY recommend.

Probably. Sometimes I get too thin skinned…

Excuse me for not remembering he posted it originally.

What did you get?

My dry humor is often not caught by others. First, it’s pretty dry, and sometimes sarcastic, 2nd, some if it is because I’m old, lol.

Sorry, showing my age. Omega got it, above. Words to a Three Dog Night song from the early 70's, Jeremiah Was A Bullfrog.

Was a good friend of mine I never understood a single word he said But I helped him a-drink his wine And he always had some mighty fine wine

Just re-read it. Good review, thanks.

I first noticed him in the role of Falconetti in the mini-series, Rich Man, Poor Man, as the bad guy enemy of Nick Noltes character. He was good at being the bad guy.

I’d never heard of salt & vinegar chips til I got to England in 1975. They had 2 flavors, Ready Salted was one and Salt n Vinegar the other, more popular potato crisp as they called them. Didn’t care for them at first, , but they grow on ya.

Never have been a Glock fanboy, really, and not sure why, except I didn't like the Glock 30 I had years ago. Anyway, recently traded for a Glock 45 and, while I haven’t shot it yet, I do like the feel of it. Anyone shot one much? What are y’all’s thoughts on this model?

I’ve seen a few. I was next to one with a young lady driving at an stoplight recently. I asked her if that was the bigger size or small one. She said the big one. It was a Sport. I knew the Sport was a little smaller, but apparently she didn’t, lol. There one that lives in my neighborhood too. Pretty car. I’d want the bigger one. Seems more substantial as well as capable.
