  1. Yeah, figured it was ####ty Davidson.
  2. It was DMV or MVD in most states. I’ve never seen whatever the hell its called here anywhere else. And I’ve never had to go to different places to register my car vs get a license until TN. I’ve also never been turned away from either because they had given out all the tickets for the day. Lastly, I’ve never had anyone grab my CCW from another state and refuse to give it back because I applied for my carry permit here. While I’m ranting, I’ve never had a state agency insert themselves into a firearm background check process. That’s between the ATF and me, not whatever the TBI is or thinks they are.
  3. At one point I had 3 509s, all with Apex triggers. Two of them were easy installs. I had to have one of the pins removed by a gunsmith. That was a nightmare. Great triggers, though. Rarely shoot them, but really like them.
  4. My CZ P10F never even made it to the range. I was an early adopter and had the same issues. Mag release didn’t work right. Slide stop also wouldn’t release with thumb. Sold it. One of the only guns I sold without ever shooting.
  5. And my point is that the generic use of RMR is a new thing and completely incorrect. This “everything is an RMR” trend started in the past year and makes no sense. Give your theory to a shop manager who receives orders all the time for “RMR cut” and then later finds out it’s for another optic with a different pattern.
  6. Yeah, that’s wrong too. Those are also brands, not products. The RMR is a Trijicon optic. I’ve been shooting in matches with red dots for about 5 years and I was a late adopter compared to my buddies. I bought and sold 3 with RMRs before falling in love with the Roland Special with a Leupold DPP Pro. If anything, it’s going to be the year of Holosun. They are doing some innovative stuff.
  7. CMMG has radial delayed blowback. It makes a big difference. It’s not as smooth as an MP5, probably due to weight, but it’s the only 9MM AR I would consider. Plus you can get the CMMG mag kits that convert AR PMAGs into 9MM mags. Yes it’s more expensive, but I hated the few 9MM SBR ARs I’ve owned, just like I hate my two SBR CZ Scorpions.
  8. I think at this point you could run a strap through a sling loop on a regular stock and call it a “brace”. I still think braces are the next thing up for ATF “re-re-re-interpretation”.
  9. Big fan of my semi-auto SBR MP5 and MP5-K. I also have two Scorpion SBRs and a Tavor 9MM, but nothing comes close to an MP5. I actually won my first 2-gun match with an MP5 up against about 70 other shooters with ARs or similar. Toss a can on it and shoot 147gr and it’s stupid quiet. I had a Colt 9MM AR SBR and wasn’t blown away by it. Sold it. It collected dust while I shot my MP5. If these are anywhere near $1K and function well, this will get interesting. You’re one pin away from getting rid of the brace and making it an SBR with a stock. The $300 Glock clones are also going to sell like crazy. Palmetto makes a good product at a great price. Never had an issue with them.
  10. I fail to see a single personal attack. I made generalizations about trends I’ve seen here and followed up with responses to indirect attacks. I stand by everything I said. I offer no apologies for being a 2A advocate and constructively calling BS where I see it.
  11. People are getting arrested for online posts that are NOT threats. But they will have their day in court... only after going to jail, being marked as a terrorist, losing their jobs and reputation after cops get to blab to the media that they stopped a massacre, and give a judge enough to worry about to slap an insane bond on that person. Life over. Brandon Wagshol of CT posted an innocuous meme. Tell me what “threat” he made. Only after they busted down his door over a meme and confiscated everything, did they find he ordered some 30 round mags in a state he shouldn’t have them. He’s still locked up. Please provide me what specific threat he made. He’s being held on $250K bond for possession of four 30 round magazines. Still haven’t seen the threat or anything close. People with “Molon Labe” in their sigs have made worse threats than this kid. https://reclaimthenet.org/man-guns-confiscated-arrested-sharing-meme-red-flag-laws/ Spare me the BS that police are “just doing their jobs”. Heard it a thousand times. They insert themselves into situations they were not called to. The boot licking on this forum is ridiculous and it’s tragic how many traitors walk among us pretending to be patriots. Fudds, nothing more.
  12. Law enforcement hasn’t seemed to care about scooping people up and ruining the lives of innocent people for red flag nonsense, real or not. They control the narrative and can label anyone a “domestic terrorist”. I’m not worried about Apaches or an insurgency. I’m worried about what’s already happening to people who post the wrong meme, say the wrong thing online, or just own too many of whatever they want to take.
  13. By the way, all of the "no open carry" is more likely because of this moron's actions... https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/10/us/walmart-armed-man-missouri-second-amendment/index.html Add CVS, Walgreens, and Wegman's to the "no open carry" list. Open carry= cigarettes. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/05/business/walgreens-open-carry/index.html
  14. This formula doesn’t seem to go down with age.
  15. Woah, I actually did this and excluding BS blaster 22LR, that’s probably a reasonable amount for my age (35,840 at age 41). Sadly, I’m not reasonable. Not doing this exercise again for the second one. The “minus 1” was funny.
  16. I just said this exact same thing on an Instagram post about this topic. It’s true. Open carry is definitely the new cigarette. Prepare to get unwanted attention open carrying in metro areas.
  17. Never enough ammo. I still have Obama stash. When I moved here, I regrettably had to sell a ton of 5.56 and 9MM that I’ve been trying to replenish. Kroger also just went “no open carry”. Everyone will be hopping on this train while they think they have majority support and it’s popular. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/kroger-asks-customers-quit-openly-225634196.html
  18. Noticed the same thing with .223/5.56. Ammo is slightly on the rise. Grabbing a few more cases now.
  19. Beto is crying and dropping F bombs on CNN right now about including a mandatory “buyback” with the AWB he would propose. I don’t recall the government ever owning my guns to “buyback”. All this polarizing rhetoric will only drive more red to the polls. I hope these candidates keep talking about guns until Election Day. It has never served them well. They say they don’t want to take our guns and in the next sentence, they literally say they want confiscation of certain guns. I don’t own any hunting rifles or shotguns, so yes, the government wants to take all of my guns.
  20. This was kind of the point of this thread. Someone mentioned earlier that it’s already too late, but I’m not seeing it. Stocking up on what I need now, especially ammo and mags. Not buying stuff I don’t need like lowers, LPKs, etc, even though those will dry up also. I vividly remember what goes away during panics and am preparing. I also don’t want to ever feel guilty going shooting due to high cost of ammo.
  21. With ATF’s eye on braces, the likely outcome is NFA regulation, which to many would defeat the purpose of a pistol brace. Wouldn’t you have to assume that the natural path would be a grace period and then a required tax stamp if you want to have one on a gun with a barrel less than 16”? Braces would be the last thing I would buy right now. I see them going the way of any other stock. Many of us have affiliations with industry people or folks in the know. I think we all know what is on the menu, but there is no clear path on how it gets done. In order of “lowest hanging fruit”...red flag, universal background checks, braces, body armor, AWB. The only hope for braces is that the original, documented reason they were created was to help a one armed vet shoot an AR. What could have been a valid American Disabilities Act case has been far overshadowed by millions using them for other purposes and just further muddying what a “pistol” is. Toss a mass shooting in the mix and it’s game over.
  22. It's more of an accusation, but yes, absolutely, on both. You outright admitted it on page one. "It doesn't affect me, so I don't care..." I also indirectly called you the enemy if you didn't catch that.
  23. Given the support of red flag laws by many members here, I'm certainly not going to post anything provocative, but I assure you I will not be in prison. I also would be careful with "it isn't going to happen", given the rapid pace at which many members are willing to drive us to the edge of the cliff, forfeiting every right that doesn't matter to them on the way. But hey, you have a sweet 401K, right?
