I enjoyed the videos you posted a while back. Perhaps you could make a quick video about drawing from different types of concealment.

Drawing with an open button down and drawing with an untucked polo are two totally different motions/techniques when done with the same hand (or so it would seem to me)--basically two different draws to learn. The motion/path of the strong hand is basically identical in both situations when doing it my way. How often does a VIP protection detail conceal their handguns with an untucked shirt? I'm sure somebody out there is faster than me when drawing from an untucked polo with one hand; it just doesn't work for me. Perhaps you move the untucked shirt with a totally different method than what I am picturing. Thanks for the compliment.

I've never used ground meat, but my recipe has always been Dale's, Worcestershire, Cavender's, 57, and a shot of liquid smoke. After all the mad cow and CWD came out, I started lightly browning all my meat before dehydrating it. I was afraid it would ruin it, but it's fine after two days in the fridge. Stew chunks have always worked well for me. I'm anal about cutting out all fat and grissle, though.

I tinkered with both. I could draw w/ same hand almost as quickly, but with much less reliability. By that I mean half the time I missed the shirt or fumbled with it or got my fingers tangled up in it or whatever. Ripping w/ weak hand works every time for me, and is quicker. Here is an example of what I'm talking about. I'm the first guy in the dark green shirt. My draw was sloppy, and I've streamlined my presentation since this video, but you get the point.

And fumbling with an untucked shirt and then trying to draw with the same hand is awkward and may get you killed. Damed if you do, damned if you don't. Me personally, if the attacker is so close that I have to use my weak to fight him off, it's probably too late to try for my gun anyway.

How does one incorporate your weak hand technique when drawing from an untucked shirt? I use my weak hand to "rip" the shirt, and draw with my strong hand. Moving the shirt and then drawing with the same hand is slow and unreliable, IMO.

A-hole or not, according to the radio, he stated that he's solely responsible for the accident and that all the rumors are BS (the Rachel Uchitel thing did come from the Enquirer). This will probably blow over, and Tiger will continue slaughtering the competition, and people will hate him for it. Bashing in the back window to rescue him from the front does seem a bit odd, though.

Nope, I like fellow southpaw Mickelson and Davis Love. This thread did start about Tiger, but became a Tiger-bashing thread. Making it a Daly-basher is no worse. Daly is more deserving--he's the bigger ass of the two.

The standard sights are plastic, but Glock does offer steel non-tritium sights. The SFS may very well indicate these sights.

As long as you're not in his hotel room when he decides to destroy it or you aren't one of his ex-wives. He's loads of fun to his fans when he hits a shot into the water on the 8th hole and simply walks off the course.

Other than one of the previous posts, I've never heard of him quitting in the middle of tournaments, tearing up hotel rooms, womanizing (other than a tabloid article), or being in trouble with the law. What has he done? If Woods is a jerk, John Daly must be a world class a**hole.

Just out of curiosity, why do you hope for his downfall? I'm not a fan of his, but am surprised at all the people who love to hate Tiger. Some of them hate him because he dominates in a white man's sport. Other hate him because he'll be remembered as the greatest golfer of all time. If you have personally experienced his rudeness or something, I could see it.

Assuming you don't have any injuries/disabilities to deal with, economy of motion will speed up your draw. In other words, don't make any more moves or motion than necessary. A good technique to try is re-holstering with the least motion. Your gun should travel along basically the same axis when drawing. After you've cut all unnecessary motion from your draw and feel competent, you can adjust where your finger first contacts the trigger. Lots of competitive shooters begin to "prep" the trigger (take the slack out of the trigger movement) way before the gun is fully extended. If you shoot one gun most of the time and get to know your trigger pretty well, this is not very hard to add to your draw with a little practice. Dry fire practice is cheap and effective.

27 w/ Pierce +1 has a shorter OAL, and is shorter from mag base to rear sight. It's ALMOST as long across the front of the grip, but definitely shorter across the back--just like all those bobtail 1911s that are currently all the rage. This makes the gun easier to hide and less likely to "print." I've carried both, so I speak from experience. Both are definite shooters, despite what many claim. Think of a 27 as a bobtail 23 with a 1/2" shorter barrel.

I plan to shoot my first 3 gun match next weekend. I'll be using a Glock 34, a Smith M4 w/ a Leupold CQT scope, and a friend's 20" hi-cap Mossberg 500. I don't think the pump will slow me down much, but I may get educated next weekend. If I think I can do ok with the pump, I'll be picking up a 20" Mossberg 590. BTW, at MSSA just outside Memphis, there are several 3 gun matches a year--5th Sunday of the month (which doesn't happen every month), I believe.

The only thing Glocks need are replacement sights--no need for triggers and guide rods.

The whole contractor thing seems like a pretty raw deal. Not knocking you at all, but the FDX Ground guys around here don't seem to "get it."

If going overnight, it will pass through fewer destinations, and thus, fewer hands. Also, it will sit around less, as in waiting for a sort to begin. Overnight offers fewer opportunities for the package to get misplaced, stolen, damaged, or the label torn off. As for hiring honest people, UPS/FedEx are lucky to get people that actually show up to work five days a week, much less be honest.

Maybe the person you handed it to. UPS/FedEx both reserve the right to open any package. Customer Counter person opens it, finds a handgun? Doubt you'll get it back, but you may get a free extended stay at the crossbar hotel.

On the other hand, there's no guarantee that you'll get your stuff back, either.
