I use Federal Tactical 00 Buck Shot in my 20" Remington 870. It patterns about 8-9 inches at 15 yards. Very tight, very accurate, very powerfull, very reliable. That pretty much covers all my needs. TK47

Congratulations on a cool old gun! I have one of those myself that my Dad bought back in the 60s. The above identifications are correct. Accuracy is ok, but suffers from the incredibly long, very hard trigger pull. It sure is fun to break it open and watch the brass fly out though. TK47

My grandfather had a side by side 12ga Cherokee that went to his brother when he died. Unfortunately nobody seems to know what happened to it after that. Sure wish I could find that old shotgun. TK47

Beautiful Crest! Congratulations! I just bought an Izhevsk round reciver at the Gunshow in Franklin two weeks ago. Shiny bore and in excellent condition. No accessories though. :-\ I have to find myself a Sling and Bayonet now. Bought 100 round of ammo at the Second or None celebration last weekend. Hope to get to shoot some this weekend. TK47

I agree with most of the above posters. Proffesionally handed by the Security Guard an politely handled by the gun owner. You can't ask for a better outcome. Thank you for being mature, responsible and a good ambassador for the gun rights community. I might send a letter to the manager to let him know how much you appreciate his polite and professional security guard. TK47

"OH. you had to be cute didn't you." Sorry, didn't have anything technical to add, but felt the need to contribute. Cute is all I had. TK47

That's right! Aggressive intimidation of your oponent from the start could be tactically advatageous! TK47

Yeah, right. All the bad guys I know aim for the femoral arteries. It's why you hold your pistol sideways like a gangbanger. Sheesh! TK47

OOH! The worst for me is "I have a gun for sale. But I only want to sale it to somebody local." I spell ok, btu my tpyign is luosy. TK47

Once more "Lamer" Alexander proves that the wishes of the people he supposedly represents mean nothing to him. This also demonstrates once again that party affiliation is meaningless as an indicator of poitical position. While he lost my vote some time ago, I continue to email his office regulary to state my opinion. What a liar and a loser. I would love to find a candidate that I could vote FOR, instead of always having to vote AGAINST somebody. TK47

I have to praise the Norinco SKSs. I've had a Paratrooper Carbine since the early to mid 90s. (don't remember exactly when I got it) I've had a bunch of different 20-30 rd. mags and 3 different stocks for it, scoped and unscoped. The configuration it is in now and the one I like best is plain old wood stock, and original 10 rd fixed magazine. I've put many thousands of rounds through it with no problem. It's handy accurate and reliable. Everything I want in a carbine. TK47

I'd have to say the P-08 Luger is the most comfortable, pointable hangun I've ever shot, followed by a Ruger MkII with the bull barrel. For modern defensive handguns, I just love my old 2nd generation Glock 19. TK47

Yep, mine has the "94" prefix on the serial number. I never knew until now that it indicated the year of import. I've always thought the fit and finish of these guns was the best of the AKs. Even with thousands of rounds through it, and my not-too-careful care of it, it's still in pretty good shape. I think I paid $250 for it way back when. Probably my best gun investment ever. TK47

Thanks Mousegunner. That's some really great info. I bought my MAK-90 in late 94 I think. It has the best trigger of any of the dozen or so AKs I've shot over the years. A lot of folks ruin these great rifles by replacing the trigger group with Made in USA parts to be able to pistol grip them and still be 922r compliant. I've never shot a replacement trigger group that was anywhere near as good as the original. Great info! Thanks. TK47

DANG! I'll never get rid of this "TGO Freshman" Tag at this rate. TK47

I know some folks don't like them, but I have a Kel-Tec P11 that I pocket carry. I wear fairly baggy jeans, so I can fit it in the strong side front pocket with no problem. I have an after market magazine that allows me to carry 12rds of 9mm. Not to shabby, in my opinion. TK47 Cool comparison pics! Thanks.

I only got 4 of 10. Pitiful ain't it? TK47

I have had very mixed results from On-Target. One day they treat me like a king, the next visit, they don't seem at all concerned about earning my business. All in all, I find them to be a little "know it all" ish, and overly expensive for the level of service they provide. Just my opinion, which as always, is worth every penny you paid for it. TK47

Once again Lamar shows that he has sacrificed all honor on the altar of political expediency. I wonder what promises he gained, and from whom, for this betrayal of his constituency. TK47

His name is James Carter. He's done a couple of jobs for me in the past with good results. His prices were reasonable at the time, though that was some years ago. His place is eassy to find, since it has his sign advertising Handgun Permit classes next to his driveway. TK47

Favorite cheapo? It's a tie between my High Point carbine ($199 plus the new ATI stock) and my Bulgarian Makarov. ($149 at the Gunshow) The 9x18 (9mm Makarov) cartridge is only mildly more powerfull that .380 Auto(9x17). Just one millimeter more case capacity. I have a couple of boxes of JHPs for it that I got some years ago, and some FMJs to plink/practice with so I'm not that concerned with Ammo variety. Regrets? My old AMT Longslide .45. It went to pay for car repairs sometime in the late 80s. TK47

I have a Bulgarian Makarov in my collection. I think I got it for $149 a few years ago at a gun show. In my opinion they are good little guns for the money. The safeties on them can be kind of stiff and hard to manipulate, and the trigger pull on that first double action shot is loooooooong. For a fun little range gun they're great, and the ammo for them is becoing available again. For concealed carry I prefer my Glock 19, or My Kel-Tec P-11. A holster that cocks the pistol as you draw it? I must have missed that one. If you can get one for a decent price, I'd go for it. TK47
