  2. I'm wondering if it was a calculated risk of some kind. Nascar is desperate if you go by the lack of fans in the stands at races. I looked them NASCAR up on 2ndvote.com and they support groups that are for religious liberty and the support groups that are against religious liberty. Trying to appease both sides. Not make anybody mad. As we all know that is difficult to do. Morgan88
  3. BlessTheUSA Intentional or not, this launched me back to one of the most famous speech's by one of the most famous orators in history. Just before he made his most famous "give me liberty or give me death" the premise leading up to this was if not now, when? Not the same context but ask the very personal question deep within all of us? Morgan88
  4. Dave This seems to be sorta funny at first and then maybe more true than I'd like. I know the NRA is too busy right now, either trying to save themselves or committing suicide. Is the NRA "on their heels" and afraid or too busy to stand strong when they should? Would Walmart or Kroger accept the NRA standing with them? Morgan88
  5. Is there any chance that these stores are afraid of the coming liability. Some enterprising attorneys file huge lawsuits against these big companies for not protecting their customers. Whether it's right or wrong they have very deep pockets.? If they stop selling guns and ammo they will be in a better position to fight these lawsuits? Morgan88

  7. Dave it's ok. U might believe I have heard the disdain for these little jewels a time or 2 Not surprisingly I bought it inexpensively and knew what I was buying. Just something to tinker with and see if I can improve. I absolutely love the size and feel of it. Looking at the bright side it does work most of the time, er ,sometimes. Don't most of us have at least 1 finicky tool in our arsenal?
  8. BCR My choice of words might not convey it correctly. Anyway a moot point. It's off. Ordered a new mag spring and recoil spring from Numerich. I know pics are worth gold on these sites. Could not get it to load them. Argg! Thank you very kindly for the reply. If the springs work like a charm I will voice that on here. I have hope Morgan88 New recoil spring and magazine spring installed and away I go to Prentiss Cooper WMA this morning with high hopes. Seems to be better but in no way good. I did find the brand Aguila to work the best. After 2 magazines of several well know brands it reverted back to finicky. The usual failure to feed failure to eject. Stronger magazine spring? I have just put in a new factory spring, not to say new factory is very good. Wolfe company proclaims their springs are 5 to 10% stronger than factory but to no surprise they don't make one for a Lorcin L-22 OH POO!! More to come
  9. Afternoon just jamming to the blues doing some tinkering For the fun of it I purchased a Lorcin L22. Mint condition. I am assuming from the early 90s. As happens most of the time these don't work that great. I thought I would monkey with it a bit. I am wanting to change out the spring in the 9 shot magazine (failure to feed) and I am not sure how it comers off. Usually there is a button on the bottom but not in this case. There are what I would call crimp marks near the bottom at the base plate. I have tried sliding without to much force. Thought I would get some qualified guidance before I "force it" A new spring is 4$ and a new magazine is $30 plus shipping. You see my point. The magazine otherwise looks new but 25 years + old. Tried to add pics but unsuccessful. Thanks in advance for any qualified input. Morgan88 Gave it one more try and it comes off the bottom and does not slide off.
  10. Peter King rep. from New York says the time has come and will back an assault weapons ban. Will other Republicans fall in line or fall like dominos? Could the Red Flag law sweep across the nation to states that don't already have it? https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/rep-pete-king-is-the-first-republican-to-sign-on-to-the-assault-weapons-ban/ar-AAG1wqH?ocid=spartanntp Morgan88
  11. Welcome Bandit People with mechanical ability will always be in demand. Glad to hear you've joined the group. Morgan88
  12. Welcome Shaunn. I'm not the new guy anymore. Shortly you won't be either. Morgan88
  13. Adult in the car. Car running with A/C on. Ridiculous. I don't think I would ever tell a cop to "pound sand" due to we may meet again. Getting the officers name and a short discussion with his or her supervisor would not be out of order. Doesn't the state of TN enact laws that take effect July 1st? Maybe a quick look would be enlightening. I sure hope this is not. Morgan88
  14. If I remember correctly when S&W designers came up with this design they're 4 goals were easy to load the mag easy to rack the slide easy to shoot easy to clean JMHO I think they excelled on all points. I have had mine for about a year and never failed to perform as designed. This may be the end all pistol for me. Totally happy with it. Quality ammo and away I go. JMHO. Morgan88
  15. New to the area from Northern Indiana. We are usually more concerned with snow fence. Ha! No more! I sympathize with many on the leaf and gutter issue. I bought and placed a brand called Gutterstuff in the gutters that I could reach relatively easy. Across the front I was going to pay a contractor to come over clean the gutters and place the stuff. I guess it was too small a job and never showed up. My neighbor has the right size and kind of ladder and with him watching and holding the ladder I can probably get it done. But I sure don't want to. The same neighbor warned me when the leaves fall around here (Jasper) I will be knee deep in leaves. Good luck to all and keep the faith Morgan88
  16. Thank you very kindly. I will do my best to not disappoint. Morgan88
  17. Hello all Another new member. One from Indiana. Moved to Jasper area to get away from the frozen tundra winters of Northern Indiana. Work when I want to (semi-retired). I attended the 8 hr class today. So I am moving forward with the TN permit. Close ranges in my Jasper area? Morgan88
