So who is to blame in this incident?

New brass or buy loaded ammo and save it?
gregintenn replied to Thursty's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Starline is a fabulous company that produces wonderful brass at a competitive price. You won’t be sorry if you go that direction. -
My wife is economy minded.

I dunno. Wife bought this one for $5 on Facebook. I cooked French fries in it today. Worked out ok. You wouldn’t make a living cooking with it, but for me and her, we’ll probably put some miles on it. I think I’ll try broccoli in it tomorrow.

Wife picked up one of these today and got us into the 21st century I reckon. So far, I made boiled eggs in it to see if tit worked. It did. What do you guys like to cook in your air fryer, and how do you go about it? Looks to me like stuff you’d cook in a fry daddy would benefit from this for being less greasy. Other than that, what else do I need to know? I have faith in you guys.

Reloading tips you don’t mind sharing
gregintenn replied to gregintenn's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Tumbling: Lizard bedding from a pet store is much cheaper than comparable corn cob media sold at a reloading store. A squirt of NuFinish car polish in the media really shines up the brass. A used dryer sheet thrown into the tumbling process extends the life of your media by keeping it cleaner. -
Lol! This led to building mama more shelves to store canned goods. A trophy husband’s job is never done!

Wish I had the space for it. That would definitely be one to put up for posterity. Very nice!!!

Begs the question….What da hell have you found??!!??

Good call. Bad comes to worse, you can at least sit back and enjoy TEOTWAWKI!

Thoughts on the recent Hybrid / EV registration penalty?

Ain’t the government fabulous? -
After 40+ years in the hobby, I have a couple. 1) You will never write down too much information. Keep a reloading/shooting journal for each caliber and or firearm. A younger me thought I would always remember X. Wrong!!!! Write it down and put it where you can find it. 2) If you see it for sale and think there is a chance you might ever be able to use it, take it home with you. I’ve never once wished I had less reloading supplies. What have you got to add???

The weather outside is frightful, so we’re canning pinto beans today. I think we’re the missing link between hillbilly and prepper. Anybody got any innovative canning ideas?
-
I’ve never purchased from them. According to their website, they have part of what I want and the rest is out of stock. Do they have a storefront, or just mail order?
-
The frustrating thing is that I want a couple bricks of primers and three or four pounds of powder. I’d pay the hazmat fee if one place had it all in stock. But they don’t that I can find. 4 or 5 separate shipping and hazmat charges would sting!

...you could just walk into the store and buy whatever you came in looking for? That was awesome!!!

Or go to the bank and get a stop payment issued if paid by check.

New Tennessee State Gun Legislation

I’d have a hard time signing on to that. -
I see little more than election year posturing. I’ve been wrong before though.

Well, you don’t roll it out then pull it up like a sock. -

Funny thread, but seriously, good job! More kids could use good parents. -
It tells me most government employees suck. There are a few good ones, but they rarely draw attention to themselves. Just reaffirms what I've already witnessed my entire life.

Definitely not a subject I’d be discussing on a public Internet forum.

Mother in law’s water line froze and burst in her bathroom. House was built in the 30’s maybe, and plumbed as an after thought. Me and 2 brother in laws spent all day working on it. Not fixed. Maybe tomorrow. Bath and sink drains also rotted we discovered. No room to work. This chit sucks!!! I’m only glad I’m physically able to help. You couldn’t give me an old house unless I could bulldoze it and sell the lot. Ease of future maintenance was foremost in my mind when I designed our house. Whoever built this one; not so much! I’m only telling you this to say if you see an old house for sale and think “It would be cool to renovate this” to move on!

Dad used to have a Corvette. NOT a snow vehicle!!!
