We finally got our garden planted today. The rain has been spaced out just right so I was beginning to wonder if we’d get a chance at all. The few times it was dry enough, we’d be gone somewhere. Anyway, we’ll be battling the wildlife before long.

I had a nephew leave there with a history degree. I wondered what the hell he was gonna do with that. Turns out he’s selling houses and probably making more money than anybody in the family. The wife’s uncle graduated from there in 1958 on a GI bill after serving during the Korean War. He retired from NASA, still lives near Huntsville, and was up here last week to visit. I’m pretty sure he worked on the actual plane you see behind him.

No kidding? I bet that’s unnerving.
