  1. I had a nephew leave there with a history degree. I wondered what the hell he was gonna do with that. Turns out he’s selling houses and probably making more money than anybody in the family. The wife’s uncle graduated from there in 1958 on a GI bill after serving during the Korean War. He retired from NASA, still lives near Huntsville, and was up here last week to visit. I’m pretty sure he worked on the actual plane you see behind him.
  2. No kidding? I bet that’s unnerving.
  3. I didn’t feel it, but the wife thought she heard a mouse in the attic. Could have been it?
  4. That was one of my problems, I never bought a mold I couldn’t shoot.
  5. The older one graduated four years ago and is a civil engineer. The younger one got a marketing degree.
  6. After today, I am the proud parent of two Tennessee Tech graduates. Man, how time flies! Many thanks for allowing me to brag for a moment.
  7. I forgot to mention; your leatherwork looks great!
  8. Somewhere near ‘“my fair share” of taxes I would imagine.
  9. There will be a point to where it makes sense to no longer buy a license and just pay the damned fine if you’re caught.
  10. I make holsters, and at one time, I had a shelf of them for sale at a buddy’s gun store. Here’s what I learned: Rarely will someone buy a holster sitting on a table or shelf. If you have brown, they want black… Most folks just want to squeeze, twist, and pull on them for some reason with no intention of buying one. If on the off chance you do have something someone wants, they want it for $10. There are simply too many handgun models, barrel lengths holster styles, etc. to have on hand what someone will actually want. The best I think you could do would be to rent a table, display examples of your work, and take orders. People WILL pay good money for something custom made “just for them”. I think they are as much buying the experience as the product.
  11. I shared that one with the wife. It’s also her birthday, she’s blonde, and it took her a minute to get it.
  12. I would look in the classified section here for a poster who goes by GrandTorino.
  13. I’d like to hear this as well.
  14. And that’s what makes it funny.
