  1. That's a handsome lever gun.
  2. This reminds me of an all day, fun filled seminar I attended on bolts. I think the same principle would apply here. The only thing I took away from that torture session was "the larger your shaft, the better grade of lubricant you'll need." (This guy wasn't attempting to make a joke).
  3. $2.95 per square foot? Sounds like a deal to me!
  4. Might want to check the adjustment on your sizing die. As for tumbling, take it to the laundry mat and tumble in the dryer. You can get large bags of media at the pet store. Just leave it in the dryer when you are done so the next person can use it.
  5. If the bulge in her belly is up high, it will be a girl. If it is low to the ground like a big beer gut, it's a boy.
  6. You ever consider the possibility that you could be spending too much time watching Youtube?
  7. It is a nice Marlin. I had to get rid of it. It was always picking fights with my Savages. It was something to do with hammer envy I think.
  8. Tandy Leather Factory - Leathercraft and Leather Craft Supplies If you watch their sales circulars, you will find that they rotate their stock on sale every few months, a lot of it at 40%-50% off.
  9. Thanks, but I didn't make these holsters. JAB did.
  10. JDLawhon.com - Holstermaking 101 Leatherworker.net The first link is an invaluable tutorial. The second is a forum with a wealth of information and helpful folks willing to answer questions. If you'll look over Mr. Lawhon's tutorial, you will get a good idea of the necessary tools. A trip to your local Tandy leather store and you can get all you need. Above is the very first holster I made last winter, and below is the latest rig I made; a holster, double layer belt, and speedstrip pouch. I'll be glad to try and answer any questions you have along the way. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
  11. Yup. That and a point from a deer antler are all you need for boning and burnishing edges as well.
  12. Being left handed, along with the fact that I like antique and odd guns, led me to learn how to make holsters. There just isn't a left handed holster out there for a 51 Remington or 1907 Savage, and no one who's interested in making one. I've tried to make and sell enough holsters to pay for my tools and supplies. I'll almost get there, and then I decide I need some more tools.
  13. I don't think I'd want Obama's endorsement. He doesn't have a very good record of his endorsees winning.
  14. I prefer sandbags.

    FN .30-06

Yeah, I'd probably glue it before firing it as recoil could make it split further.
  16. Yes. That is similar to how I hold my 640.
  17. SO...what is a Gubenator anyway?
  18. Did you go by the Illinois State Prison and see their collection of former Governers?
  19. This guy is a nut, but he can sure play a guitar.
  20. What would the rifle be worth unfired in the box?
  21. Savage Collectors - 24hourcampfire If these guys can't tell you, no one can.
  22. The shape of the 1911 lends itsself better to concealing than the blocky Glock.
