I appreciate your service, tacops. Lord knows I couldn’t do it!

What will this cost the taxpayers of Memphis?

I read the police chief had been previously fired from the Atlanta police force. You’re right. The organization usually reflects it’s leadership.
-
The main thing I’ve seen change is the fact there are now cameras everywhere. This is nothing new.

Everybody needs to watch it. It’s your tax dollars at work.

Wouldn’t be a bad place to carry those 5 officers and dump them out. Let the community sort it out.

Clean that heirloom up and keep it as it is. Its value as it sits is basically the same as it would be if you had it refinished. If you want a nice example, take the refinishing money and purchase a nice, original example. Just a guy on the internet’s opinion. It’s yours. Do what makes you happy. Sometimes you need to do that, economics be damned! Oh yeah. If you haven’t done so yet, put that thing back together and go shoot it. They are amazing little pocket pistols!

Interesting.

More than I’d seen. Thanks.

I think it’s a bit cold for much rioting to take place. Has it been mentioned anywhere just what the young man did to put himself in this situation? I expect it was a bit more than a taillight out.

It seems like more and more often, there doesn’t seem to be a “good guy”.

I have 3 1911s in 45, one in 9mm, and one in 22lr. They are all fun, accurate, and reliable. We’re I only going to have one, it would be chambered in 45acp.

Colt has been making them for quite a while now. They hold their value as well as any.

Memphis is not unlike Nashville. The worst criminals are elected.

Memphis could be awesome….but it ain’t. Form your own opinion as to why this is.

Rediscovering a passion (for clays and over/under shotguns)
gregintenn replied to Sreduos.'s topic in Long Guns
While I prefer the look of a classic side by side, I tend to shoot an over and under better. A tractor trailer couldn’t haul all the shells ejected from my 20 gauge Citori Superlight. It’s still running strong. Dad has and old 20 gauge Superposed. It is a simply awesome shotgun. Looks like you made a great score on this one! Congratulations. -
On 24hourcampfire.com, you’ll find a subforum titled Savage Collectors. If anyone on earth could answer your question without having the pistol in hand, it would be one of those guys. Without seeing the pistol, I’d only be guessing it was disassembled and not reassembled correctly, or perhaps something is broken.

I don’t see that ever causing a problem, Erik.
-
Hell, the return vent would nearly negate the need to run the vent tube.

You da man, Erik! Fixing something yourself and saving money are two awesome feelings!

Or my personal favorite, the 44 Magnum.

Thompson Center Contender Pistol - Rifle Stock Question...
gregintenn replied to a topic in Long Guns
Technically, you guys are correct. Practically, there has never been produced a better juvenile deer rifle than a 14” 30-30 barrel and youth stock on a Contender. Especially if you happen to handload! I know the nuance of current law regarding this, but I really don’t think a single shot rifle was the main reason in which the law was cobbled together. -
‘‘Twas a genius idea. I’d have never thought of it.

45 Super? 460 Rowland?
