Chinese "weather" balloon floating over the US

Because he doesn’t agree with you? -
It’s a slow process. I guess if the new one is better than the old one, you should keep going.

Damned if the government takes any responsibility. -

To be precise, a couple of them were reported to be hobbyist balloons. -

I understand our military is now shooting down weather balloons. I always wanted to go for a ride in a hot air balloon, but I think I’ll put that on the back burner for now. -

Now maybe you won’t get a ticket for having expired tags? -
I’d make that trade.

The only thing I ever liked about Gatlinburg was the store after store filled with Big Johnson T shirts.

How the hell are you still posting here?
-
All mine are defective. They won’t even poke a 1/4” hole through a groundhog!

Three chords and the truth!

I expect hell is a lot like Gatlinburg. If you go back, give Townsend a try. Drive through “The Tail of the Dragon” and look around. The Smokies is a beautiful place.

The cold hard light of lethargy!

Sir, I cannot find the words to show my appreciation for all the efforts you’ve put into furthering our gun rights in Tennessee. I suck at expressing myself, so please do not take offense at my attempt. I am only speaking for myself, but may well resemble other members here…maybe not. I despise politicians. I probably cannot communicate directly with politicians without incurring legal troubles. I vote regularly. That’s about all I know I can legally do. I understand you know more things we can legally do to help persuade our elected officials. I would appreciate instruction or suggestions as to what we should be doing to help. I expect others would as well. It isn’t that we won’t help, it’s that we all have different strengths and weaknesses, and we really just don’t know what to do. I sure hope you take from this post what I meant to convey. -
Lol! It looks pregnant, but you know what? If they help you hit the target, they’re friggin beautiful!!!

A most Excellent Article about the Rich Prepping
gregintenn replied to Moped's topic in Survival and Preparedness
This prepping subject always tickles me. You know who was a prepped? Your grandma and grandpa! They had tools. They had food preserved and stored. They had a spare bundle of roofing shingles and a ladder. They had gas for the chainsaw. They had basic first aid medicine in the cabinet. They had a well or spring. These folks could survive most anything they faced. All these folks who sit at a computer all day and think they are going to somehow wander out in the woods and survive a nuclear war or civil uprising are going to be quickly surprised when the lights go out. -
I have a friend who owns an 1887. My opinion of it is it’s big, heavy, awkward, and clunky. It has all the handling characteristics of a 6x6 post. To be fair, however, I have the same opinion of the model 88 Winchester. I love me some Winchesters, but not these two models. Your mileage may vary.

I don’t see a 22lr on your list. I’d suggest searching out a 39A if you’re a Marlin guy. You won’t be sorry.
-
I don’t mean to be obtuse, but look in your reloading manual, then see what listed in there your local store has available. A man can’t be too choosy these days.
-
I’m out, but I guess I’m not the guy they are trying to market these to.

What is the ultimate end all be all revolver in 38/357 ?
gregintenn replied to tercel89's topic in Handguns
I am amazed this is still available. If you aren’t dead set on a 3” barrel, this one would be a real gem at a fair price. -

My old, well worn 4” Smith and Wesson Highway Patrolman sure puts a smile on my face when I squeeze the trigger. It certainly isn’t a conceal carry piece though. Its weight tames full house magnum loads, but still lets you know you’re shooting a real gun. The action of a pinned and recessed N frame is a hard thing to improve upon. It’s like a large 22 when shooting 38 Special wadcutter target loads. The accuracy of the old Smiths is only limited by the shooter’s ability.
