Al Gore calling someone a psuedo-scientist. That's rich!

I remember hiking as a kid on Cumberland Island in south Georgia and meeting a guy whose job it was to drive around the island in a truck and shoot them on sight with a bolt action .22mag. We saw him every day for a week and the back of his truck was full every time. That was the first place I ever got chased by a hog, too.

YOU CAN STOP SHOOTING ME NOW! Ok, seriously. Enough with the bullets.

A .380 vs. a .25. That could have gone so wrong in such an epic fashion. Oww. Oww. Quit it. Oww. No you quit it. Oww. Oww. Applebee's Diner Shoots Mugger - Old Northeast-Downtown St. Pete, FL Patch At least we can chalk up two for the good guys in Tampa over the last week. -

I pocket carry a j-frame when I'm wearing a pack. A properly adjusted pack and hip belt sits high enough that it doesn't interfere at all.

You've got to be pretty particular about the maintenance of your weapon when you run and sweat as much as I do. Even if the potential market was great, I don't know that I'd be up for the hassle of dealing with all the people who had their P3ATs rust because they don't know how to wipe them down and prevent corrosion.

That's all part of my evil plan...talk about interrupting an OODA loop...

No. I still carry on my thigh. Pistol on one side. Spyderco on the other. I cut a slot into the outside thigh of a pair of under armor compression shorts. I whip stitched the sides so the don't fray. Behind that, I sewed in a piece of coated neoprene to make a pocket. I then ran the sewing machine along a rough outline of the pistol to make the "holster". I have a pair that work well with an LCP and a pair that I made for the mini. Throw on a pair of normal running shorts over the top, and you can't tell I'm carrying, and it doesn't move or bother me a bit. It's also immediately available if I need it.

I don't put a shirt on until at least November, so I use a NAA Mini in .22mag either just in the pocket of my running shorts or in a "holster" I sewed into the leg of some Under Armor shorts on the outside of my thigh.

Yeah, I purposely just divided out the "additional" debt. When you look at actual taxpayers or families as opposed to the total population it is both very sobering, and yet somehow takes the air out of the "we can't do it argument at the same time. Yes, it is a really big number, but it can be done. Families get out of debt all the time. It can be done. It's going to take some elected representatives brave enough to do it.

Between September 2008 and December 2008, over 60,000 factories of various sizes closed in China. When Americans quit buying stuff, other economies go south quickly!

Your math isn't working. It's a big number, but not that big. 10 trillion divided by 350 million is about $28,571

Capital is going to flow to where it's cheapest. Period. Unless your plan recognizes this, it will fail. You can't put Pandora back in the box. America, for all of our problems still does most of the innovating in the world. Some interesting things are afoot. A lot of small and mid-sized companies are actually moving their manufacturing back from China. It seems that if you aren't the size of Apple, you just don't get the attention you might expect. With the cost of oil on the rise, and transport costs going up all the "cost savings" aren't really materializing. People are deciding it's not worth it. Our real problem is that not enough Americans actually care at all.
-
Yep. You can't really blame them for starting it, but they certainly greased the slippery slope.
-
I find it kind of ironic that anyone still pays attention to anything they say.

Only once.

If you can get used to the sight picture, the "1/2 homie" method actually lets you absorb the recoil more naturally due to your arm geometry when shooting one handed. Imagine if you will your weapon being canted anywhere from 30-45 degrees. Your arm acts as a shock absorber of sorts and allows the recoil to come straight back at you. Try it next time you're at the range shooting one handed. You might get some funny looks, but it'll make you a better shooter.

The Rohrbaugh series is a really small platform, but make sure you shoot one before you consider buying one. I know a few people who have bought one because of its size, but were disappointed because it was so hard to handle. -

I love my Walther PPS. It's accurate and has been completely reliable. It's about the size you're looking for. -
I think that this is the fundamental question that needs to be asked. That is, can the government actually create value? I would argue that the answer to that question is a resounding "no". They can try to preserve value, or they can try to keep from losing value like they did in the auto industry bailouts, but they cannot in 2011, create value. I think that one of our major problems today is that really none of our elected officials, Republican or Democrat have any idea of what it actually takes to create a job. The big corporations have the GOP in their back pockets, and the DNC knows we're not going to vote for them, so they just treat the small business owner as their piggy bank. So long as our political system remains this two party zero sum game, I truly don't expect that this will stop until they destroy this American experiment. I'm pulling for these 86 tea party freshmen. They proved their willingness to stand up to the establishment, the GOP establishment included. I wish them all the best. Reagan was absolutely right. Government is the problem. Until people realize that the government cannot create value, instead they can only transfer wealth from one group to another, we won't solve this problem.

I don't think anything these fools do will help this second dip. Just ask yourself what has fundamentally changed between September 2008 and today. With the exception of them paying off their friends at 100 cents on the dollar, the answer is nothing. Their solution seems to be to talk like it's working and maybe everything will be okay. Or maybe they just want to distract everyone til they spend us to the gates of Hell.

That's sweet, Steve. It's been a few years since I've been, but we're making plans to go next year.
