  1. I'm stunned. Too many things come to mind. I think I'll hand off to someone else.
  2. As for Angelina Jolie, I'd rather f*** a carp, they look very similar but a carp is cleaner and has more sanity. Best line of the week.
  3. Hack? I think not. I've read too many of your informative posts to believe that.

    XD trade

You tempted me greatly, til I remembered trading for a XD 4" from my bil. But, and it saddens me to say this, I think I have enough 45 pistols for now. But, I'd agree. Keep the 45 and locate an xdsc. I lucked into a lnib trade in for under 400.
  5. I heard this on Fred Thompson's show from his fill-in commentator. I can't vouch for it's authenticity, but considering the situatiion there, I'd say it is possible. The commentator said that FBI agents investigating the shooting scene at the border were warned away by Mexican Guards. When the FBI didn't leave immediately weapons were drawn and the agents were threatened. And told they were illegally trying to cross the Mexican border. Anyone see the irony here?

    Bonnaroo

Mike, now you and I can feel old together. With lyrics like the above, I'm not sure I want to know any of them.
  7. Waldo Peppers? Used to be some real good pizza.
  8. Likin' Deliverance. Hittin' Angeline. Ya' all some mity sick puppies round here. By the way, she never looked better than in the skiing scenes in The Cradle of Life.
  9. Terrific! Now the kids can join in at home.
  10. Whats left of it, that is. The longer crap like this goes on, the wilder and more ridiculous these reclamation claims get. Until our leadership, as pitiful as it is, begins to listen to the will of the majority of citizens and not just the ulta-left; and grows a set of cajones and stands up to the invasion of illegals, not immigrants, we don't stand a chance. People, look around you. Don't you see the barrios springing up in every little town in this country? Do you really think all these millions of people stood in line to legally reside here? Are you all really that blind? Wake up and retake this nation from the people working so hard to destroy it. Pull your head out of the sand, or your butt, and look. Listen to the language on the street..look at the people walking the malls...look in the hospital er's. Look at the number of dui arrests and who they are. The number of those involved in driving accidents while under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Remember the number of local cases involving illegals that murder, rape, rob, and do it over and over. All because we can't enforce current laws. Wake up! Before it's too late. Work for border control. Legal immigration. Enforcement of laws. Elect more like our local sherrif, Daron Hall. A man willing to take a stand and attempt to clean up some of this mess. And God Bless the people of Arizona for having the courage to make a stand!
  11. As much as I would like to see border enforcement, I'm afraid that the outcome here will be like the last incident. This officer will probably be sold down the road to soft-hearted(Headed) one-worlders who will decry the injustice of this poor child's death. I sorrow for the death of any person, man or woman, adult of child; but until the laws of this nation are enforced, this will continue. What would Presiende Calderone and his border guards do to a U.S. teenager throwing rocks? Would the even-tempered, well-trained, Mexican guards ignore the situation and send the youth home? With a stern lecture perhaps? Or possibly, would they also shoot? I think so. And I'd say that the round count used would be considerably higher than one.
  12. My previous liberal democratic upbringing doesn't like me saying this; but I agree with you, Garufa. Sadly, I am now the black sheep of the family because of my conservativism.
  13. I really don't know what to say. It's just so ridiculously, blatantly, yet openly a way to remove the founding declaration of ideals fom the school system. If you can't teach values to the children; is it any surprise that political and social indoctrination is being taught?
  14. Hey! That's my excuse...er, reason for missing the 10 ring. Really though, I know a lot of us are getting to where we can see the rear sight, front sight, or the target clearly. But sometimes not any two or three of them together anymore. And that really is crappy.
  15. Parrothead, I don't mean to offend you, but consider this...you...are 23. You called out a retired Green Beanie. Ask him what he was doing 40 or so years ago. If the man is what some here may suspect; you may have gotten off easy. But for you, the short and long awnser is practice. Then more practice. Then more. Get the idea? It takes long hours of dedication for sometimes long years to get where you want to be. And no, I'm not there. If you hit golfballs at 45 yards with a subcompact pistol; not the jug and knocking them off; you, sir are a better shot than I am. And I applaude you. Now I'm getting ready for some range time. I know I need the practice. I'm trying to learn to shoot 1911's well. And hopefully, accurately.
  16. If you are near a Dick's Sporting Goods, check out the Stackon Elite. This past week on sale for 799. A large safe. Not the best on the market, but a good intermediate level. I forget if it's a 36 or a 45 gun size.
  17. Started to order from MIdway and checked pricing---22.99 loader 3.00 tax 6.79 shipping Total 32.78 With 3-5 day shipping, I'll go to Academy tomorrow.
  18. Thanks for the information memphis. I think I''ll give it a look.
  19. Like several others here, I have a couple thousand rounds of assorted calibers that were under water for a period of time til I could get back into the house and move it. 38/357/40/41AE/ and about a thousand rounds of Ranger 9mm. All of it has discoloration on the casings and the 38/357 are lead nose blazer ammo and have tarnished and have fuzzy white oxidation (?) on the lead nose. I've been using a dremel and polishing tool to clean all of them up. I really hate to loose any ammo these days, but as previously said, I'll use them for range only. Also have a new respect fo the swabbies out there. My father in law brought me some large 30/50 cal cans for storage now. When you fill those, they are really heavy. I put about 2500 rounds of 45 in one, closed the lid, and tried to pick it up. Thought twice about. Then called for help. A two man job. Anyway, if anyone has any special cleaning tips, I would like to hear them. Thanks.
  20. I agree. I see no problem with me supporting local and/or like minded business operators.
