TN AG: Cities can ban firing weapons
Worriedman replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Have not, until now. However, would not put it past one of the more Liberal Cities, or under this new Opinion, Counties to set up such a situation, as it appears now in their purvey to do so. -

What I am trying to say, albeit very unsuccessfully evidently, is the same thing that I am hearing in PRIVATE conversations with my Black associates re the fact that the media thrust forward the race baiters AS the leadership of the Black community. Those with whom I have spoken are desirous of having their clergy/leaders (of course now we will have the chorus of religious haters join in and pile on) get out in front of the innuendo that the Black community as a whole supports that false narrative. I am not as smart or worldly as you, and do not have the ranking of knowledge that you evidently possess. But, I have real skin in this game, and am concerned about the PERCEPTION that the average Bubba has, and that is what I and my friends are concerned about. You act as if I have some personal ax to grind against the Black race, which is the absolute furtherest thing from the truth. Why don't you just put me on your "ignore" list and you will not have to read my dumb ass rambling? -

About the same thing that I would about the defense attorney intimating that the mother of the baby shot in the stroller was in on the deal because she had taken out a $5K insurance policy at his birth. Defense grasping at straws. -

Nothing in the TWRA Regs allows you to discharge a weapon for self defense, against human criminals anyway. -

From the Opinion: http://www.tn.gov/attorneygeneral/op/2013/op13-066.pdf The "story" is, now a City or County can make the discharge of a weapon a crime, the State cannot preempt even the use for personal defense under 39-11-611 according to Cooper's Opinion. Not that a judicial review might not set that opinion aside, who wants to go before a Judge to find out. 39-17-1322 got gutted last year in an appellate decision, which deletes the "shall not be charged with" language and completely reads it out of the statute. -

I am the least racist person any one here knows. I am however a realist, and my friends are realist. There is a push to divide going on, and yes the media is in on the deal. I swear to God that I am talking with interested Black people who are very worried about the perception that is out there right now, that the leaders of the Black Community are the Jessie Jacksons and Sharptons, that and the perception that the baggie pants wearing faction is the mainstream, that is their concern and that blow back is going to occur. Math being what it is, it has centered in the worried discussions as of late with those members of the Black community that I interface with. I am not generalizing about race, I am simply stating facts, and repeating what I am seeing on various forums. Personally would like to see a draw down in the heat regarding the whole issue, but like the Syria thing, I doubt that is in the offing. -

All I can tell you is the interface I have with numerous Black people who are my friends. People I work with and who I am around a lot. They are very concerned that the perception of the whole is that the entire group is supportive of the actions that we do see on the MSM. Being of mixed race myself, I get the personification of Native Americans as drunks and welfare goobers, some are, not all, on my Grandmother's death bed she would not sign document attesting to her lineage, she had "passed" her whole life and would not admit to society that she was "Indian" even then. I live in both worlds, and I hear the invectives the "good 'ol boys" heap on those they consider to be guilty. The Liberals are trying hard to instigate a division, and I still think that if solid citizens were to stand out in opposition to violence of the sort we are seeing, and yes, being amplified, it would make a difference in how the whole of society would perceive it. -

They may not be responsible for the actions of other blacks, but if they do not speak out in opposition to those actions, they will be convicted of approval by their silence. When a 13% demographic is responsible for 49.7% of all murders, 55.6% of all robbery, 40.3% of all weapons charges then at least the demographic as a whole needs to either damn the actions of the few, or admit to approval. Somebody is going to have to start demonstrating against this senseless violence, it can either be done figuratively similar to Martin Luther King's acts against segregation, (they were non-violent, and they made a clear point of conscious), or, society will as a whole will grow tired of the results of non-action and choose another path. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/persons-arrested/persons-arrested http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/table-43 http://www.infoplease.com/us/census/data/demographic.html -

I disagree, the forces that run Obama are steadily about the business of bringing this Nation to its knees, everything is going exactly as planned. -

I have a friend who happens to be Black, he and I discuss these things, a lot. His concern is that at 13% of the total population, the minority that is Black America is going to start suffering mightily for the actions of those who seem determined to instigate a response from the majority. I work on his guns for him, load shells for his 28 guage so he has useful ammunition to rabbit hunt with. He is at my place a lot on the weekends, and sees my granddaughter using a .22 bolt action and .223 semi-auto and shooting her own 28 gauge. He says that we should be pointing out that 9 year olds properly supervised and trained are capable of 200 yard accuracy, while the hood rats threw multiple rounds from the street to the sidewalk in Jackson Friday night, and were able to score one hit out of a full magazine. He is a veteran, and his two sons are veterans (all Marines) and he will tell you he is as scared for his grand kids as I am for mine. He said yesterday, we need to get Dr. Carson out front of the "get even for Travon" trend that he sees developing, that decent Black people are not desirous of being engaged in the coming ginned up race war where there will be no winners. For the record, I have mixed race grand children, and if you think White or Black people get profiled and picked on, try being a "zebra" as George Jefferson deemed them. Rural West TN is not the place to have a mixed race grand daughter take "Most Valuable Player" in softball, both sides hate her, never gets invited to a birthday party, Crockett County expects their Blacks to pick cotton. Sure they will take the help on the ball field or court for the moment, but they need to understand their place otherwise. I understand the drill, my family is Scotch/Irish and Comanche, with some Flat Head and Cherokee thrown in. You have to be twice as good to be half as accepted. But if you understand math, the percentages demand that the "race" stand and speak out against these insane actions by thugs. "Justice for Travon" is a prescription for genocide. He was a thug wannabe, and the thugs perpetuating these actions to somehow lend credence to his desire to win a stupid prize by playing stupid games is simply going to lead to more death. -

There is no "good" side to take in that contest, who would we be helping? -
If you get the bug, load your own. 7/8 oz will break targets just as well as 1 1/8 store bought.

I think there is a real push by some very powerful entities to get the race war going. Can see CNN putting some of this information out there to get the Bubbas fired up. -

The rifle I shoot the most is the little .25 X .307 Wildcat, it don't go bang fast, but it sure does with authority! That is another of failings, loving anything .25, now I have the .25/.223 AR which is pretty nifty too. -
