  1. FEG's are decent guns, I'd say go for it. They are tough little bastards. Hi-Power parts are plenty, if a part breaks you can get it changed. Plus there are a bunch of tutorials to make the trigger feel nice
  2. Nice, Did Remington buy the ACR from Bushmaster?
  3. As majority shows I believe the Walther is a better choice out of the 2. I like the trigger on the target version of Walther, Sig however does not have that option. If you give me another choice, I'd buy a Ruger MK series instead, and not have as much headaches.
  4. Here is what you do go get yourself a Galil(Golani) for about $600.00 get the best of both worlds, live happy You get Gas piston, AK reliability, and close to AR accuracy. With the rest of your savings, you can buy some ammo.
  5. Yeah but is not an AK it is just AKish
  6. Thanks for correcting me, always learning new things
  7. You want a good AK stay away from century, they are crap unless they are certified. You want a really good AK go with Arsenal, a bit expensive but you get a good gun. Want to spend a bit less go with a Lancaster, they are made on Romanian G kits, but are really well made and finished nicely. Saiga's i never liked them eventhough they are Russian, I just dont feel it. To me they are not rue AK's. Right now here is the hiarchy of AK's Russian, Bulgarian, Polish, if you find on Chinese, Hungarian, If you find one Egyptian and romanian. I'd put one made by Lancaster the same level as Bulgarian.
  8. I own a 1911 in 9mm, great gun to shoot, I use it mainly for target shooting, or teaching. never had any problems with it.
  9. Freaking awesome.
  10. It sounds liek whoever is selling it is trying way too hard to hype up the gun, it is a nice setup, i wont pay more than $800 for it. And I am in Ca where prices are a bit higher.

    My Next project

Nice, just play with different grains of ammo to see what the gun likes. with the right ammo you'd see one hole
  12. post or pre ban should not matter with M1A's,(post ban usually meant no bayonet lug-you know for all those drive by stabbings) and it should be irrellevent since there is no ban now. The rifle would be made of new parts not USGI, unless the previous owner did something. (don't see why however) They are good tough rifles, and are fun to shoot.
  13. Welcome to TGO. My advice is o with whatever handgun that fits your hand better, and you shoot better with. Then again don't limit yourself to just one handgun, buy all of the one you like
  14. Nothing wrong with using reloads in any gun just make sure it is properly loaded. when i reload i usually put about 10% less power. but i shoot mainly at paper.
  15. So last night I was getting ready to close the shop and was checking the vault, when i hear people calling my name. I'm like hope no one shot themselves. One of my guys rushes and tells me in a panic a gun blew up in the shooters hand, I make sure it is not one of our rental guns, and it is not. I'm thinking the guy in laying in the range bleeding out, i see him walking towards me( such a relief) I ask him to show me his wound, there are 2 small holes in his chest, no muscle penetration, just skin and fat. So as i patch him up I find out what happened, he was shooting his uncles SW442, using their own reloads, when the back strap blew off and hit him in the chest.(that is what they claimed) . after looking at the pics one of the guys took from the revolver, seemed like they are shooting some double or more charged round, the clynder blew up breaking off the TOP strap and the fragments hitting him in the chest. Moral of the story, be careful when reloading.
  16. Very nice love the Damascus steel work, do you fold them yourself?
  17. what happened to the old one? congrats dude.
  18. The one i manage in Ca. They are nice guns, but I think for the price you can get a really nice 1911. The bad thing about X5's is when something goes wrong with them, Sig sends them back to Germany for repair. For some reason they don't service them in the States.
  19. I prefer to have a gun i am selling be field stripped that way the buyer knows what they are getting. I have at times, field stripped guns to show their condition.
  20. Have you tried a HK usp compact? I think it fits most if not all of your requirements, just find out how it feels in your hand. they are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for if not more.

    H&K UPS 45

HAHA, I wrote UPS as well when i sold my sold my first USP45, then i missed it and went and bought a SS one. They are damn good guns, where i work the guns get abused a lot, and the only thing i've seen break on a HK is the flat spring, but the gun still works as a double action only gun, can't beat that. not even glocks can claim that.
  22. so when was that ?? lol, anyways i think i can do better with an HK, but damn the weaver stance:D
  23. I got one nice target using a sig x5 from the rental range. I got a 96 or 95. if i can't beat that then i'll post it.
  24. I had forgotten how unstable Weaver stance was, no self respecting modern shooter should be subjected to weaver stance. I know bitch bitch..lol..
  25. I'm challenging the results:bat:someone did not pay attention when checking the posts.
