  1. Can you get a side order of Lipitor with that?
  2. What happens in Lewisburg (@ the Goat Festival) Stays in Lewisburg
  3. Barger and Sons is in Harriman, TN. They are #1 in the #2 business. Being a utility guy here in Oak Ridge I use them both as a contractor and supplier. I have used some of their septic tanks as under ground meter vaults and they work perfectly.
  4. Can you shoot the spares?
  5. Sorry you lost your friend. Dogs just don't live long enough. I haven't had one in years because I don't have a place where it wouldn't have to be caged or kept on a leash and confining a pet is not fair to the animal. I still remember the last one I had. He used to sleep in front of the basement door and when I would come in at night and it was dark I would hear the chain on his collar rattle before I ever saw him. There were times after he was gone that I still though I heard the rattle.
  6. Your smarter than I am (that may not be saying much in my case ). I looked all over the CP link page and never found the answer.
  7. Thank you for your service, God bless yourself and all of the men and women in the armed forces.
  8. Good Morning and welcome. Thank you for your service.
  9. I concur with Suntzu. I think most gun stores have no problem with carrying loaded in the holster. Signs saying something to the effect of no loaded guns apply if you will be unholstering, laying it on the counter, handleing it or bringing it for repair.
  10. One of the things I like about the TGO forums is that I never have to ask anything because there is always someone who has the same question I do and when the question involves buying one thing vs. another there is always someone who is going through the same thought process to come to a decision.
  11. I did this earlier this year when I was waiting on my HCP. I did it more becasue I had placed a vacation stop on my mail delievery and the USPS couldn't located the held mail. They claimed I had received no mail, not one piece, of mail for 12 days. I thought there was a good chanced the permit was in the misplaced mail. I emailed her regarding the postal issue and she was very promt to respond and also very helpful.
  12. Good Morning and Welcome. That's a nice looking piece in the photo.
  13. These are all good suggestions that I am going to keep in the unfortunate event I might need them in the future. I am now going to ask a stupid question. If the thing and/or it's family is under your house how can you go into the crawl space and place either moth balls or ammonia water without, as mustangdave said, playing "Tunnel Rat" and getting gassed in the process?

    Help

I hate to benefit from someone elses misfortune but reading this made me think about the fact that I have a J frame I bought from a co-worker 25 years ago. I just paid the guy cash and he just handed me the weapon. I've gone my way and I'm sure he has gone his. I've never copied the serial # down anywhere. It's now on my to do list. Thanks.
  15. I used to buy bug spray that could shoot 20ft thinking that if I could kill the one I saw flying around that I would solve my problem. Not. I learned from various websites on the subject that you are just wasting your time trying to kill the flying (male) bee. Spray the hole with the female in it and then seal it with the product of your choice. I use wood filler.

  17. None of us want to ever be put in a situation where we have to use deadly force however in the unlikely and unfortunate event it were to actually happen I think the least of the problems would be whether or not the location it happened at was posted as a no carry location. The bottom line would be that hopefully you survived and it is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
  18. Reading most of this thread was so entertaining that I have to add my $0.02 worth. The Bubba part came from when my wife and I got married her grandkids couldn't decide how to address me or what to call me and one was to young to say my name so someone said to just call him Bubba and it stuck. The 0031 part came from me kidding my wife that I was a OO (double 0) spy like James Bond and she said it was more (double knot) like Jethro from the Clampets and she said I was a really bad spy so my number must be really high like 31 so I became 0031.
  19. Now that's funny I don't care who your are -- LOL!!

    Gun Insurance

In thinking about the insurance question another insurance question occurred to me. I purchased a used revolver that I just leave in my car. I figure if it or it and the car both get gone I haven't lost a lot as opposed to leaving a more expensive gun in the car. If it were to be stolen would my homeowners replace it or my auto insurance?

    Gun Insurance

My wife received a very expensive watch from her employer as a reward for 25 years of service. The watch is worth more than my car (but so is my alarm clock). When I presented the appraisal to our insurance agent they advised me it would have to be covered under a separate rider. I suspect this is also the case for any items (collectibles) when the value exceeds the amount considered "normal" under the declarations in your policy.
  22. I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Oak Ridge Firefighter William Elliot who lost his life over the weekend as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Please say a prayer for his family.
