I clean my 1911 perhaps every 500 rounds or so. When I finish shooting, I wipe the gun down and oil the slide rails and locking lugs. The only advice I'd give you is keep it lubricated and field strip and clean it every now and again.

Thank you for the reference. I don't want to come across as antagonistic, but number three states that you should not worship false gods. In your opinion, is jesus not a false god? I'm not trying to imply that you believe anyone that is not an orthodox jew cannot get into heaven, but I think that the definition of "false god" is really the crux of the matter. Is buddha a false god? Or Mohammed, or Vishnu?

I know it is with the christian definition, that'd be a pretty lousy religion if still only jews could go to heaven. I'm wondering what the jews say about it. I know there are messianic jews out there, is the Rabbi one of them?

Well, the Torah is pretty down on the whole false gods thing, and most jews don't acknowledge the divinity of jesus, so it would seem to me that christians don't get into heaven. Rabbi, what's the call on this one, do gentiles get into heaven or no?

I'd like to be on a jury, but haven't been called up. That being said, I really don't mind certain people not serving on juries, just like I don't mind certain people not voting, and fortunately those people are often the ones that do neither.

And as long as I'm posting, I'll mention that since I didn't particularly care to engage in theological debate I simply abstained from reading the threads that sparked all of this. I don't mind if you guys discuss theological matters, but I don't mind if you don't either, so the new policy is fine by me. I feel that since religion is completely an issue of faith that it is impossible to engage in a rational discussion with someone that does not share your premises. As such, I can see why religion is an especially difficult topic on a forum that consists of members from all different viewpoints and understand the admin's decision on the matter.

Just to clarify in case anyone is confused, the 1st amendment protects the freedom of speech from governmental infringement. With certain exceptions, no one can make a law saying what you can and cannot say. This forum is not the government, freedom of speech does not apply here.
