  1. I like that little compact. Where might one find one and how much do they run?
  2. Range USA will have better prices than anyone else in town but you will have to wait for it to get here. Arms Fair has the cheapest transfer rates in town.
  3. I would look for a used Ruger Standard/MKI/II/III for her. 200 bucks will buy one in great shape and other than being a pain to field strip the first time, they are fantastic little weapons. I have a Standard model and it shoots great and is what I use to teach people how to shoot. You can also pick up the Beretta NEOS for around 250 used and I have heard good things about those as well.
  4. Thanks for the heads up on the cylinder. I plan to get one. Here is a pic.
  5. You people are lucky. All she would tell me was that I completed everything and to wait 90 days.
  6. I fully intend to buy at least one more. I might get another 92 and then get a 96 to accompany it. Ive heard people say bad things about the 92 but I think it is an absolute joy to shoot. Cant wait to get one for EDC and range time.
  7. Great choice. I am on my third XD (early in my gun life, I sold things quickly) and I regret getting rid of my first two. Some fantastic pistols and you can't go wrong with them. And since Oh Shoot mentioned it, I have never understood people arguing against the grip safety. If you hold the gun properly, you don't even notice that the safety is there.
  8. I wish I had some NV goggles so that I could see what my Aimpoint M2 looked like with it. Cool post. Thanks for sharing.
  9. So after checking around, it isnt that expensive to have SA refinish a gun to OD green. I may just buy a milspec and send it back to them to have it refinished after I get bored with the standard parkerized finish.
  10. This excites me. I completed my fingerprinting on December 17th. I just emailed Ms. Knight and am hoping to hear back from her sometime today. Maybe mine is already approved as well. EDIT: Heard back from her and all I got was you have submitted everything and please allow 90 days.
  11. Those are some killer deals but they just dont exist in Memphis.
  12. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/32249-merry-christmas-me-me.html
  13. Magic, While at the range this weekend, I was thumbing through a November 09 issue of American Rifleman that said Sig was back to shipping with 2 mags. I don't know if its true or not but its worth looking into.
  14. Crappy iphone pic but its the best I can do for now. The side that is visible in this picture says "The Second Decade 1985-2005" and the other side says "M9 America's Defender." To me, this is an absolutely beautiful gun and it is a joy to shoot. I plan on buying a regular 92 so that this doesn't have to see too many more rounds.

    S&W M&P headache...

I just want to back Daniel on this one well. I think you are asking too much of the shops if you expect them to "take the hit" for you while you prance around with a new gun. I have personally dealt with Daniel and would love to do more business with him as well. I think that Daniel and the staff at G&L are great customer service representatives and recommend them to everyone.

    Sigma .40

I want to pick one up as a toy but I can't really say that I like the triggers on them. Something about the little two piece trigger just felt cheap to me like I was going to break the plastic. But I still think for 250 bucks new, its a decent little gun.
  17. Let me know what you want for it Jeff. I might be interested.
  18. The 250 is a DAO. You would not be able to decock it since there is no "cocked" position. Referring to the other sigs, I don't know if they have a decocker or not but you can decock them the same as a SAO if they dont.
  19. The 250 isnt even close to the same size as an SC though. The Compact 250 is going to be the same grip length as a full size XD and it felt a little bigger in diameter than the XD to me.
  20. Thanks everyone. I think with my eyes I might need the larger sights of the mil spec. However, I really like the OD green GI. I know its a little ricer but I think with the mil spec grips, the OD green would look pretty darn good. I don't know what I am going to do though since they seem to be sold out everywhere.
  21. Well I got my C&R right before Christmas and now that the holidays are over I decided it was time to order my Nagant. I called J&G Sales today and ordered it. It should be here before the end of the week. I'm probably going to buy a few boxes of true Nagant ammo for it just because but I will probably also get a 32 cylinder for it. Ill post some pics when it gets here.
  22. So what were you all saying in your emails? I would love to email about mine (although its only been a couple of weeks) but I am not sure what wording to use.
  23. The size doesn't bother me. I know that I will be getting into a 5 inch barrel and I'm okay with that. Thanks for the replies.
  24. I'm dead set on a Springfield but don't want to spend anymore than 650 or so out the door. Why is the Mil-Spec better than the GI or vice versa and why should pick whatever you think is better? Thanks for the advice.
