I agree completely. After getting past the initiation fee, I can easily spend more than 20 bucks a month on range fees. And a nice indoor area would be awesome but I'm sure that it wouldn't be cheap.

A sponsor is not necessary but there is a place on the membership application for references. I don't think its a big deal if you don't know anyone. The big thing for them is that you need to be able to pass the background check. If I got in, anyone should be able to. Seems to be a recurring theme and a lot of people suggest a CCI break in period. Google it and see if it helps.

I live in Memphis. 99% of the populace has no clue how to drive in ideal conditions. 100% of the populace has no clue how to drive in inclement weather. 1 snow flake can cause a massive interstate shutdown.

really really fine sandpaper. since the serpa has the trigger guard lock, I have always wondered how effective it would be if you added a thin layer of fleece, moleskin or other smooth fabric to the inside.

I just joined in January. It cost me 530 dollars then and will cost me another 240 in June. Do I think its worth it? Yes. Would I say that if I owned land or we lived near some other outdoor ranges? Probably not. Sadly, around here, it's MSSA or nothing. I chose MSSA. Plus, the people there are very like minded and very safety minded. Its a comforting place to shoot and really does have something for everyone. Go out there and take a tour. Tell them you are thinking about joining and check the place out.

Only been shot at. We were playing a prank on a friend on the 4th of july. We drove over towards his house and parked about a quarter mile down the road and walked over towards his driveway. We had one of the huge rolls of black cats in a paper bag and lit and threw it into the ditch in front of his house. We were cracking up as it went off when we started to hear much louder bangs and found out he was shooting at us cause he thought we were shooting at him. Sucked the fun out of it really quickly.

I just finished it. Took it all the way apart, reflowed the solder on the processors and a couple of other areas, put new thermal paste on it and then put it all back together. It didn't power on at first. Opened it back up and found a connection on the power supply that I missed. Got that plugged back up and it works now. he is going to take it home tonight and get all of his saves off of it and then he is giving it to me. yipee!

I might have one. I just have to put it back together. A coworker has one of the original 60 gig units and it gave him the Yellow light of death. he bought a new one and told me that if I could fix the old one, I could have it. Im giving it a go. I should know by the end of the day.

Yep. I only have the playstation for 6 months while my brother in law is deployed. So i am trying to cram as much play time in as I can.

I LOVE the OD green springers. I have got to get me one. I need to order two actually because i want the factory OD green and I want to do one in a desert tan as well.

I am currently carrying my 5 inch Springer Loaded in a Don Hume IWB and really like it. I am going to get a Milt Sparks Summer Special soon though that will replace this. For the money, the Don Hume isn't bad.

I like having the shell deflector even if it isn't 100 percent necessary. Does anyone make an upper with shell deflector without the forward assist?

Beautiful gun. Send me your trigger and I will send you my three hole trigger. I dont like it and will be replacing but its scratched (I guess. it may be stained) so its not really worth anything.

I was at an indoor range with lots of people but the sound reminded me of my .22 (a little louder) and I dont know the weights but they were TN Cartridge Company reloads. He was telling me that the gun is hearing safe with heavier subsonic bullets. His suppressor was a YHM but I don't know what model.
