  1. The 250 is a DAO. You would not be able to decock it since there is no "cocked" position. Referring to the other sigs, I don't know if they have a decocker or not but you can decock them the same as a SAO if they dont.
  2. The 250 isnt even close to the same size as an SC though. The Compact 250 is going to be the same grip length as a full size XD and it felt a little bigger in diameter than the XD to me.
  3. Thanks everyone. I think with my eyes I might need the larger sights of the mil spec. However, I really like the OD green GI. I know its a little ricer but I think with the mil spec grips, the OD green would look pretty darn good. I don't know what I am going to do though since they seem to be sold out everywhere.
  4. Well I got my C&R right before Christmas and now that the holidays are over I decided it was time to order my Nagant. I called J&G Sales today and ordered it. It should be here before the end of the week. I'm probably going to buy a few boxes of true Nagant ammo for it just because but I will probably also get a 32 cylinder for it. Ill post some pics when it gets here.
  5. So what were you all saying in your emails? I would love to email about mine (although its only been a couple of weeks) but I am not sure what wording to use.
  6. The size doesn't bother me. I know that I will be getting into a 5 inch barrel and I'm okay with that. Thanks for the replies.
  7. I'm dead set on a Springfield but don't want to spend anymore than 650 or so out the door. Why is the Mil-Spec better than the GI or vice versa and why should pick whatever you think is better? Thanks for the advice.
  8. I would give the gun to me! Haha. Thats tough. You are already so into it that it would be hard to recoup money regardless of what you do. If you want to keep it for you, then refinish it for sure. But if you want to get rid of it (let me know), then I wouldn't sink anymore money into it.

    XD or XDm

I finally handled an XDM this weekend and I love the look of the gun and I'm sure that it shoots fantastically, but It just didnt fit the same way that a standard XD does. THe slightly larger grip just ruined it for me. I might eventually get one just to have but I don't think that I will ever get one for carry or competition shooting.
  10. 5.56 can shoot .223 but a gun chambered in .223 cannot shoot 5.56
  11. So some of you might have read my thread about me purchasing a Sig P250 for Christmas and then finding out that I hated shooting it. Well I sold it Friday and picked up a replacement. I bought a Beretta M9 20th Anniversary edition. It is an absolutely beautiful gun in my opinion and after the purchase, I found out it came with a nifty little display case as well. Tonight, I took it to the range and absolutely LOVE this gun. A friend and myself ran through several scenarios of shooting including one handed shooting and found this gun to be extremely easy to one hand. Since this is a special edition or whatever, I am most likely going to pick up a regular 92 to carry and use as a range toy so that I can keep the beautiful finish on this one but it will get shot at least yearly. I know the thread is worthless without pics so I will try to get some up tomorrow.
  12. Another option to is to put a little skateboard grip tape on either side. It wouldn't really effect weight and would provide a great fiction area.
  13. Thats nice. I don't think the flash hider is orange. It kinda looks like a muzzle cap.
  14. Wow. I was there like three weeks ago doing my HCP stuff. I guess I just got lucky.
  15. I think it is friggin gorgeous! I love the rifle. I will never be able to afford one though so it and a Barrett are just pipedreams for me.
  16. I dont know how practical this would be but what about going with a composite material. It would help to eliminate rot problems with wood if moisture were an issue. I know they make composite decking but I don't know if they make anything else.
  17. You must not have read what I quoted. I was replying to the guy saying that his 10 round mag rattled when full.
  18. I've been bit before. It definitely earned the name M1 Thumb
  19. Walnut Grove? That is where I went and I was only there for 30 minutes. I got there at 10:15 and was leaving at 10:45.
  20. Call Springfield. I remember this problem and it seems like they shipped out new mags or new followers to remedy this.
  21. Model would be 1891/30 Serial, I would assume would be the registered part so the receiver. I cant help with anything really. sorry
  22. We had a bottle of that up here at my work last week. It was really cool. I definitely want to buy one. I want one of the AK's as well.
