  1. Here you go guys: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/search/search.asp?r=Page%3A+%2FDefault.asp+KW+Box&s=SEARCH&a=search&k=ar15 I buy a lot of stuff from this site, hunting, fishing shooting and riding, my other passion is off roading and I have a Yamaha Rhino that I am spending all the rest of my money on! The link I posted here is to most all of the AR stuff he has to offer but if you go to the home tab you will see he has lots of good stuff! I also bought 260 rounds of 223 from him, the wolf brand stuff.
  2. I am having a hard time invisioning how he did this with this weapon, all the XD's I have ever seen have a grip safety, wait, I can see it now, he may have put his hand on the grip to hold the gun while he pushed the slide back with his other hand or at least started to push the slide back. Man that has gotta be a bad feeling! Sorry for your friend...hope he heals up so he has use of that hand again.
  3. It is a cheap one! I don't usually spend much on my optics, I have been shooting cheapies for several years on my deer hunting rifles with little or no problems and have never wanted to spend more than $75 to $100 so I am cheap I guess. As long as I can take deer up to about 200-250 yds then I am OK shooting cheapies. Here is a link: http://shop.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=322930
  4. Welcome Charles! I drive through Gibson county going to carroll and henry county where I do most of my deer hunting. I would really like to find some property to hunt in gibson county with permission or lease possibly. If you can hook me up please do and let me know.
  5. Thanks guys, I like it too but still haven't gotten out to shoot it! This lousy weather! Maybe soon I will get out and shoot it some at least. I laser bore sighted my scope last night and I have three mags all loaded up and ready to go!
  6. +1, this is what I would try also, I have used one of these on lots of screws that would not otherwise come loose.
  7. Welcome! glad to have you and thanks for you years of service!
  8. DWARREN123, glad to hear you like the glock somewhat anyway, I have a g27 and really like it, I carry it most days and sometimes carry my kahr PM9 when clothing dictates. You might want to shoot only factory loads in your glock, that is one of the things that has been known to cause kabooms in glock 40's...
  9. I put this on it today: http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=322930 Go here to see pics with accessories: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4371
  10. The scope is not crooked, but the camera was!
  11. Sorry guys I been watching tv all night and just got back on here. I got the lower from Shawn, he is a newbie here on the board, goes by tnrobocop, picked it up the other day at the Jackson gun show, I bought the rifle kit from here: http://akpartskits.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=4_8&products_id=280&osCsid=3fdd0c4b5e9af01657fa1cc0b7d8ec69 I am still waiting on my optics, mags, stock saddle and vertical handguard handle to finish it off and then I will go shoot it to see how it runs, a good friend of mine built a kit from the same outfit and he loves it, especially for the price.
  12. Yea, this is my first but I think I want another in either 6.8 or 308, not sure which right now...
  13. My first build, optices, mags, vertical grip still on the way, I built what you see here for $550 tax and delivery included. Just got it all assembled today!
  14. Welcome from up the road in dyersburg!
  15. Glad to have you!
  16. Congrats on the new baby! They can be a real joy!
  17. I had a very productive trip to this Jackson,TN gun show. I picked up a new to me Kahr PM9, met Shawn, the owner of TPS, aka (TNRobocop) and bought the beginning, (the lower) of my new EBR from him while I was at it! I shot the Kahr today and it really impressed me, my first three shots at 10 yds were in the bullseye shooting freehand! That was the first three shots I ever fired through this gun. Needless to say I am very happy with it! I shot better with it than I do with my glock.. I ordered a kit to start my adventure with my EBR today, so it should be on the way! WOOOHOOO!!!

  19. Try doing this short 11 question quiz...It will pick the top 3 candidates based upon your responses... I just posted this to maybe help some folks who might be confused or uninformed...Hope it helps... http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/candidate-match-game.htm
  20. I have one of these in my gun cabinet and was thinking about setting it up with a scope for a little plinking. I was just wondering if anyone has much experience with them, good bad or otherwise??
  21. I also have a serpa and since I got it I have retired my fobus, I really don't like having to yank my pistol out of a holster anyway. I was telling Engloid about the fobus roto because if he likes the fobus the roto should be to his liking even better because of the adjustability of the cant.
  22. Have you looked at the fobus roto holster? It is fully adjustable as far as the cant, and if you like the one you have now you should like the roto model, you might look into it. The link below is just one I found quickly doing a search for "fobus roto" I have not done any business with them, actually I bought my last couple of holsters off ebay, that was where I found the best price... http://www.outdoorgearcompany.com/product/37640?meta=FRG
  23. I have a SOB holster and don't use it because I don't like it sticking in my back when I sit down. There is also the scenario of falling backwards onto your pistol. I don't currently have a shoulder rig so I don't have any input for those...
  24. I hadn't seen anyone post about this one yet so I thought I would let eveyone know about it. I plan to go and probably get myeslf a pocket pistol if I can find one. My best friend and his wife will most likely be going with me to fondle some handguns because they are about to take a permit class and they will need somehthing to carry... http://www.gunshows-usa.com/tennesee.htm
  25. Everyone else said it before me but welcome to the forum! Thanks for your service and tell all your comrades we said Merry Christmas!! Stay safe!
