  1. Make sure you don't have it 180 deg off. I did that once with the same type faucet...
  2. There will be a gun & knife show at the dyer county fairgrounds Feb. 21 9-5 pm and Feb. 22 9-4 pm for anyone that is interested. I usually go check it out, sometimes they have a good gun selection other times there are more knives than guns, but since I don't have to drive long to get there I go and see what they have...the admission is usallly around $5-7 dollars, the info in the shoppers guide does not have the cost of admission.
  3. "You just can't fix stupid!"
  4. +1 same for me, I love my 27! I do carry the 23 from time to time but usually the 27..
  5. I have the advantage conversion for my glock 27. It works great with the remington golden bullets. I highly recommend getting one!
  6. The last time I was there, (about two weeks ago), they had very few new handguns in their cases. Obama has helped them sell off their invnetory.
  7. No probelm!
  8. http://www.rkshows.com/south/tennessee.htm Scroll down for what info I could find. I have been to this one a few times before and it is usually OK, they should have a little of everything there, handgun, rifles, shotguns, ammmo and accessories. The prices are usually too high but sometimes you stumble upon a good deal.
  9. I tested the 40 cal, and I carry it in my 40s now, it is probably not the best but appears decent, especially for the price. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12832
  10. Welcome from another dyersburgian!
  11. I have one for my 27, it is not as easy to conceal as my MTAC, but I tend to use it more in the winter as it is easily concealed with a jacket or coat.
  12. Take a look at the Kahr CW40 when you can, I have one and it is a nice weapon, very slim and easy to carry, they also make the PM40. I suggested these because you said you are trying to get away from the bulky guns, I also own a G27 glock that I carry most of the time.
  13. This is my current deer rifle until something else I like better comes along. It is a Remington 710 30.06 with custome painted camo from a friend at work.
  14. Just a little friendly advice, where ear protection! I learned the hard way how loud these hand cannons are without ear protection. Wear some you can still hear with until the decibal limit is reached, you will be glad you took this advice, trust me!
  15. I have been meaning to get around to doing this for a while now. I know the subject comes up often about the size comparison between the 23 and 27 glocks. I have both and thought I would take some pics for those of you that have need to see them compared. Some of the pics have my mag with the pinkie extension and some have the regular mag. in them, my extension does not give me any more capacity. I find that the 27 conceals easier for me because the back of the grip is what usually prints when carrying IWB and as you can see from the pics the grip of the 27 with the extension is not as long as the 23.
  16. The wife and I will both be in the woods! I just have to decide if I will hunt or man the video camera to flim her taking another one hopefully...
  17. Welcome! If the Sigma felt good in your hand and you shot well with it you might want to go ahead and get yourself one. To me if a gun feels good in my hand that is a very big part of me liking it and being proficient with it. You can always buy another one later if you think you need it! We all need at least a couple of carry weapons!
  18. Congrats to you and the little guy! I am sure he was ecstatic! That is a very nice deer, especially for his first one!
  19. What he said.
  20. That is a good idea, thanks
  21. The wife and I went right after they got it opened up a few weeks back. It is a nice facility, that is for sure, but they asked us not to take any head shots as it could damage the track the targets travel on. I usually do practice the 2 COM and 1 to head drills so that is an issue for me. I shoot more outside than at an indoor range but when I do go I will have to drive to jackson or brighton so I will probably just go to brighton where I can shoot head shots.
  22. I voted today!
  23. I bought a couple of boxes of these a few weeks ago and since I have not been able to find much info as far as penetration or expansion I thought I would try the gallon jug shooting test. I shot this bullet thru 2 full gallon jugs and it did not exit the third jug, the expansion looks pretty good to me. I can now carry them with some faith as to their performance.
  24. I have one I carry in daily, I have different kydex bodies so I can carry my glock of my kahr. I forget I have it on me. I would recommend the MTAC to anyone who is thinking about one!
