  1. I would be in for 2 lowers and uppers depending on price as well.
  2. My new favorite is a Nat Sherman Timeless Nicaraguan...fantastic smoke! And anything from the Padron family if you like a darker fuller flavor.
  3. Lee 175 TC cast bullet with 5.3 gr. Unique and Win. SPP, 1.135 OAL. Chrono's out at 950fps.
  4. Glad to see the AR has tasted blood!

    Marlin 1894C

Yeah, mine has the crossbolt safety and I don't really mind it (I never use it is why). Plus you can get a kit to remove it if it really bothers you.

    Marlin 1894C

There's a really nice older model on ### right now for $525. Probably a little high, but you don't see many for sale anymore. Plus it doesn't have the crossbolt safety.

    Marlin 1894C

I've got the cowboy model with companion 357 blackhawk. You absolutely cannot go wrong with one. By far my most favorite rifle to shoot. The only problem is finding one for sale!
  8. Yea, I couldn't pass up my deal either. Would love to have one in .40 also. I think they sold 3 more M&P's while I was there.
  9. Did Sportsman's Store still have the M&P's on sale?
  10. Confirmed lead head here...all lead all the time. If you size them right and use a good lube you won't have any problems. Most leading is due to sizing and alloy hardness issues.
  11. I've always preferred the safety position of the Mossberg, but like the feel of the Remmy better. I've got both and have never had a problem with either.
  12. Anybody know a middle Tenn location to shoot silhouette? I'm thinking about getting into it, specifically lever action silhouette.
  13. I think it was also claimed to be in Catoosa WMA one time, and also somewhere in Texas.
  14. Man that cat gets around...I think he's been photographed in about 5 states now, dragging that same deer every time!
  15. I've got a heavy barrel .223 Handi Rifle. The trigger's not the best, but it's a solid rifle for the money. Plus you can send the receiver back in and have other barrels put on it.
  16. I can't bring myself to put a scope on my 1894 cowboy rifle, so I've been looking into receiver sights. I've been specifically looking at the Williams 5D or Foolproof sight. Anybody have any experience with these or can make another recommendation?
  17. Another thing to keep in mind with lead is diameter. Before ordering, you might want to slug your barrels with a soft lead slug and order your bullets .001 over the bore diameter. Lead is all I shoot out of my handguns and besides a little more soot from the lube, I don't see any disadvantages.
  18. saw some alabama ammo in 45 Colt at the Reloader's Bench in Mt. Juliet yesterday
  19. Care to tell where that place is and a name? That's not a bad price.
  20. +2 on this one...I've tumbled lots of brass in mine with no hiccups.
  21. I bought one brand new last May and have been thoroughly happy with it. I've only shot about 100 out of the 9mm cylinder but accuracy seemed fine. I've shot probably 1000 38/357's out of the other cylinder. Think I paid about $400 for it. One great thing about the Blackhawk's, they are built like tanks, I can't see ever wearing one out.l

    Ruger .22 Mark II

That's funny you posted this today. I was just cleaning mine this morning and had to try about 10 times to get it back together, even though I've done it countless times.
  23. I didn't want to risk it in my G22, ordered a Lone Wolf replacement barrel. All I shoot now is lead out of it, cast by me. You won't need gas checks at handgun velocities. If you size the bullets to the right diameter (.001 over groove diameter) and use bhn over 10-12 you'll be good to go. If you need any help, pm me.
  24. If you watch LSN much, you see alot of recurring ads. I don't think they're doing a whole lot of selling at these prices.
  25. Casting is definitely on my to-do list right now. I'm trying to procure enough lead at the moment to keep me going for a while, then I want to start casting for 9mm, 38 special, 357 mag, and eventually 44 mag.
