  1. I would recommend Guns and Leather first because it is way nicer but as CK said, it is usually pretty busy. +2 on Asherbranner's pawn since it's close to you. They are a little more expensive as I recall ($15 ??) but you won't have the Range Nazi's looking over your shoulder the whole time that you sometime get at Stones River . You will have a little more freedom and will be able to work with her one on one without interuption. Once she get's a little more familiar, I would then Recommend Stones River as they do have a nice setup and are cheap.
  2. I've been seeing these things go up for a year and a half or so along the interstates and cannot figure out what they are for. They look like some type of sensor or antennae but I'm just guessing.
  3. The end is near...........I hope the Obama administration can read the writing on the wall
  4. Man it's going to be close. Wonder if we'll even know tonight?
  5. Don't believe I'd said that tntnixon..... Back on topic, Congrats CK1. Wonder If they'd send me a new one for my .45 even if it ain't broke?
  6. And floating would be an added bonus!
  7. The Stones River Range on Hobson Pike does certain time of the year. You might want to call and ask. (615) 641-8896. They are closed Monday through Thursday. Here is the website Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - Stones River Hunter Education Center

Dude, I see why you had to quit
  10. I understand where you are coming from but we are back to the same old argument, what is Infringed and what is regulated? SCOTUS affirmed in Heller that States could in fact regulate the 2A within reason. Take a felon, his 2A rights are in fact infringed. We cannot carry guns onto School Property of into a courthouse during legal proceeding. Are these examples regulated or infringed? Right or wrong, SCOTUS believes they fall under reasonable regulations. What we have to do is keep fighting the good fight and hope that nut jobs like Kwik stay out of the picture.
  11. I'm with you there Fallguy. When I first heard about this new bill Senator Jackson was proposing I was left scratching my head. How is this any less confusing? My thoughts, why not keep the bill as is and just mandate that any establishment that does not meet the criteria defined in 39-17-1305 (3) ( must post per 39-17-1359. This puts the responsibility on the establishment who would know for sure whether or not they are a restaurant or bar.
  12. Yeah, Phillip and the boys are great but you know what we say around here..... Didn't happen unless you post pics
  13. I hope you are right Nikki. I will try to be patient, but we'll have to work on Hex
  14. I agree and if the merchant wants, they can and do provide snap caps.
  15. I understand completely. With a Glock, don't ask and just act like you knew you could . What amazes me though is that any merchant who is trying to get you to purchase their product would make you feel uncomfortable in the process. Sometimes, gun store employees aren't the best salesmen as I'm guessing you've figured out by now.
  16. All great advice here. I'd suggest one other thing, have someone else shoot it just to be 100% sure it is the weapon. Just as an example, I have numerous pistols but had this one that constantly shot low (imagine that ). I had a competent friend shoot it and it shot fine with him. Turns out it was all me all along and was related to the larger grip and my short fingers.
  17. Without going into the usual arguments about whether you should or shouldn't, with or without snap caps, I say do the polite thing and ask the merchant. I've found that most don't mind if you dry fire a "fantastic plastic" but wouldn't like it very much if you did it to an Ed Brown or a nice Over/Under Shotgun.
  18. Yeah Rando, if you paid $400 + for it new, I wouldn't expect to get any more for it now that it is used, even if it does only have 50 or so rounds through it. If you are going to trade, remember that the guy you are trading with will also need to make a buck so don't be offended if he offers you less. I have seen them used in the $400 around Nashville. Hey there flameboy, OP never mentioned model 85 but since you did, they start around $330 and go up to about $380 whereas comparable S&W's will run at least $100 bucks more. (Guns for Sale) Now Titanuium takes both up to the next price point. Put on your reading glasses next time before you start your spewing
  19. Cool, just so happens I'll be there this afternoon. Any idea what time frame?
  20. woohoo . Now on to 2k.......
  21. Right on Both of my main EDC's have a manual safeties that I never use.
  22. Cool, didn't know about those, I was refering to this:
  23. Bad news, there were some Generation I G17's with a frame mounted safety on the side. I believe they were designated G17S.
