  1. Yeah but what is he, 8? Pretty damn good if you ask me. Just to be handling the weapon like he does is impressive. What the heck is he going to be like when he's 28?
  2. It must be true since the Tennessean quoted it from old Butchy Boy....

    S&W M&P headache...

Congrats CK1, hopefully you'll be up and running again by the first of the week. On another note, did you do your own trigger job?
  4. David Cutcliffe is it. I think this should be good.
  5. Yup, he kept introducing amendments, talk some BS, then withdraw them. I think one was that a HCP holder couldn't carry into restaurants on Sundays
  6. I'm with Eddie, Ruger probably has the most to offer in a basic, dead reliable .22. Their Mark III's run anywhere from $280 to $500 for the fancier models. The Beretta Neos are fun to shoot and are usually the least expensive coming in around $250 or less. Then there's the Sig Mosquito that retails around $350 and the Walther P22 that is usually less than $400, Both are fun to shoot and have small grips that are perfect for the ladies. I'm hoping My next 22 pistol will be a Browning Buck Mark Bullseye but that is another thread......
  7. Thanks Kevo. It actually built my confidence up on taking other guns apart. After reeding a thread regarding M&P's, I took the striker out of my M&P 45 without a hitch. Turns out, It comes out just like a Glock.
  8. They are scrambling now aint they? Too bad, Gruden might have, never mind....
  9. Congratulations Man, that is wonderful! That he is. I don't know, have you seen the price of ammo lately?
  10. I hope all is well. Hopefully Daniel will let us know as soon as possible.

    Holsters???

+ 1 on the Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC Holster. I carry in the small of the back and was able to adjust the cacnt perfectly for my. Most comfoatable holster I've ever had. Will get more for other carry guns. it I bought mine from David Wilson at Lebanon Gun shop on Hartman drive. Minotaur Hybrid Holsters -
  12. Your're probably right. I had taken the mainspring housing and grip safety out before but that was it. Yup. Already thinking about getting some punches and "wouldn't a stainless saftey, mag release etc. look great on my all black gun..."
  13. Went to an Entry Level 1911 Pistol smithing class hosted by East Side Gun Shop and led by John Wall last night. Though it was very basic, it was very informative non the less and as you can see in the crappy iphone photo below, John instructed us how to thoroughly tear down our 1911's and inspect each and every component. At one point, he jokingly said "at this time I'll require $20 to teach you how to put them back together" but the joke was actually on him, I would have! I walked away with much more confidence with this pistol and was surprised how few pieces there actually are in them. It was good seeing several fellow TGO'ers there (I won't name names just in case they don't want me to) and I'd highly recommend anyone attending something like this if they get the opportunity.
  14. I'm surely going to get some flack for this but yeah, I believe there is a difference in quality. Both of the Sigs I currently own (P220 & P226) were "Made in Germany" and are of a better quality in both fit and especially finish than the ones I used to own that were "Made in West Germany." Just my .

    S&W M&P headache...

Sorry to hear about that CK1. I just recently started carrying my M&P .45 and do not dry fire much, but when I do I use snap caps. Were there any warning signs or symptoms prior to yours failing?
  16. Bubba is right. I'd call Comcast and maybe you'll get a tech that knows what they are doing. They can test it from there and may even be able to fix it without having to come out. Ok, sometimes maybe they don't suck as bad...
  17. I was on an hour or so ago and all was fine. I will say however that COMCAST SUCKS! Not that any of their competition is any better.
  18. Maybe we should start one...

    XD or XDm

+1. I had being eyeing XD's for a while but just couldn't make the leap, then the M version came out. I stumbled upon a deal on one and bought it almost on a whim and quite frankly had a little "buyer’s remorse" after as I knew it was not going to be a carry gun due to its size and I really liked the stainless model better. Then I shot it. It is by far the best shooting .40 I have or have shot. Can't really put my finger on it but believe it is a balance thing if that makes since. Anyway, I highly recommend you shoot one, you just might like it.
  20. Went to the gun show today. Wondered around for a couple hours, didn't buy a damn thing. Right now, on the boat drinking with Skunkslayer.

    M&P .45

I own a 1911 and an M&P .45, love 'm both but carry the M&P much more. Shoots great, carrys well.
  22. +1, Get a pocket holster and "Cary on". They are cheap and as noted by others in this thread, offer other advantages as well.
  23. Yeah, probably figure it was just too darned cold.
  24. I have every time, sort of. It is actually more of a shipping manifest. Real big in upper left hand corner is Buds Gun Shop, then my name and address with the FFL next to it. The gun with serial number is then itemized out. If I were you, I'd call or email them, you definately want one.
