I justified as a business promotion. Ill put my logo on it and drive it around from time to time and in parades! Maybe it could be a tngunowners parade vehicle once a am deuce gets attached! It gets attention! I also want to get certified as a first responder and water rescue to go volunteer during natural disasters. I wanna get a John boat as well. I wanted to be ready for the next Hurricane Sandy.....

I've heard to different amounts. A local guy in Knoxville said liability was $100 a year and the guy I bought it from said it was insured at a $13,000 value for $300 a year. They run on anything combustible. It gets about 10 - 12 mpg on diesel. There's a guy I know with 3 of them. He runs his personal one on used motor oil, year round. I know a couple mechanics with tons of spent motor oil. Waste = free fuel......

Why in the world would anyone think ma deuce in tn GUN owners? Lol Yeah I probably should have added, and a half...... I didn't have any pics like night. It took six hours to get here and it was too dark... I got some today! With the 54" tires the handle is right above my head level, so about 6'. My 4 year old girl loves it! She wants a pink one..... I now want to mount a ma deuce over the cab. I'm gonna call it the Double Deuce and drive around dressed like Patrick Swayze!

I bought a big m35a2 yesterday. It's pretty nice with a winch, whistler turbo, and 54" tires... Made the 9 hour round trip to find out that it more than likely wont even fit in my driveway..... Only me......

Very nice! I hope to get one like that soon. What were you using before? I was looking into the Bader 3 but this might take the cake!

We could do other scenarios if it would be more helpful. I was just reading about the Colorado shooting when I thought of this. What do you think could be some other scenarios? The 6% would be fun if enough people showed! I'm guessing we MIGHT get 10-15 if we're lucky... Even at 6% that would be like 1-2 people. I was thinking about a diner/restaurant kind of thing too. It might be a little harder to fabricate a set for that. Maybe a race to first shot from concealed position. Using a air soft gun and actually being shot might put a little extra stress in the situation....

I was wondering what people thought about practicing some life like situation drills. The one I had in my head was set in a movie theater type place. (For obvious reasons) One person has gun and one person in the audience has a gun. The "gunman" doesn't know which citizen is armed. The citizen doesn't know which doorway the gunman is going to use. Gunman picks a door then picks targets. Hopefully the citizen can eliminate the gunman before he is eliminated and saving the lives of others. All this while dodging running bystanders. People will be running everywhere trying to get to the 2 exits. Once the first shot is fired it will be a frenzy and people might not know exactly which of the two are aiming for them Ina real situation! It would show how fast things happen and show a slight insight on the confusion and importance of accuracy in a crowded environment. Also I know a lot of punch holes in paper, but not so many shoot moving targets, shooting back, and trying to shoot around innocent people. I think it is important to train as close to real situation you're carrying for. More muscle memory right? The down side is participation and tools. Of course the hardest part is getting people to show. This ismone of those instances where the more, the merrier! I can get pallets possibly to make walls and obvious exits. Even rope would make an obvious boundary in which not to cross. Air soft or paintball guns for the simulation? If anyone has training or been in this position, it would be great to learn what you wanted, or were able, to pass on. We can also do other things once there. Different scenarios, shoot, swap, anything anybody had in mind really.... Thoughts?

It was pretty busy as per venders. I didn't see any tables empty, but I only made a quick trip. I seen a KSG there. that was neat. I bought a Glock grip plug thing, doesn't fit my glock.... I might make a bad luck Brian meme later... :( But for now, a sad face. I made a few hundred bucks so it wasn't a wash. I hope to make that much tomorrow since ill be able to make some sheaths for a few knives. Now to find somewhere to peddle my wares for the next few months..... -

Yeah, there should be some room for ya! I'll be there with a friend and we're each getting a table. We do both have a child that will be with us, so as long as you're kid friendly, yeah, grab a chair! I seen people at the last show upstairs directing people on the ground to where they seen certain guns being carried. It's tough trying to look being led through a crowded aisle. I'd rather just sit down and have them walk by! Lol -

I'll have a booth there, hoping somebody wants one of HANDMADE KNIVES I'll have for sale... Lol They seemed to think that all the 500 booths may be sold out. There were a couple more available at the Chilhowie event, so I doubt they'll sell all 500 spots..... Most of the dealers want way more that the guns are worth, but if you wanna hang out with me, you can catch deals from passerbys. A friend of mine bought a Stag Arms AR in .223 with about 300 rounds through it. It came with a new hard case, red dot, front grip/bi pod, 10 or 11 mags, and 100? Rounds of .223 for $1100. Seemed like a deal to me. He put 6 of those mags on the table and sold them the same day! Anyway, see you guys there! -
I'm just glad I didn't see any purses or kids toy tables.....

Leaf springs might be hard to work, but make some good knives. I'm fixing to make some leaf spring machetes! If you go to the flea markets there are almost always files for about $1. Awesome starter material. Also look for old saws. Some of the band saws still make good knives though they may be a bit thin for certain blade styles. You can find it cheap/free and it's easy to shape/practice profiling, creating your gradual tapers for a cutting edge, handle attachment. I've hadrequests for wittling knives and filet knives with this stuff.

I got a belt grinder on sale....

Nice! They look a lot better than my first ones! Look for old skil saw blades, lawn mower blades, car leaf springs and files! You can find tons of files for a buck a piece! -

If you haven't come by yet, you've missed me. Ken and I had some opposing views and I quit. That frees me up for the TGO rendezvous! Hopefully I'll have my own knife making business up and going, making business cards now!

For the past few months I've worked saturdays. I'm there 4 days a week right now.

I can't figure out how to quote posts via my phone but Dolomite's post reminded me of a article I'be read recently. It was talking about how we put our greatest leaders on our currency but none of our new leaders follow their examples. Ben Franklin talked in detail how a nation on welfare will not last, that if people are given their food then why would they work? He traveled a bit in his day and he noticed the poorest countries he'd visited had a national welfare system. People that want a handout vote a certain way to keep it that way. The next persons promises even more handouts to the lazy and even more vote to keep it going. Slowly but surely.... I for one am getting tired of seeing these lazy people living as good or better than the hard working that support them. If anything is to happen soon, I hope it happens soon enough I can best defend me and mine. I'm not getting any younger!
