I have an Eotech and had an Acog. I sold the Acog because it was high on the cool factor, but it's just a 4x scope. I can buy a less cool looking 4x optic for much less. I also think zero magnification is more handy if you just have one optic. Now that I have a second AR I'm looking at 4x options.

I have had an Advanced Tactical Pistol class and took a free class put on by the Williamson County Sherrif teaching Laws related to shootings in and out of the home. The DA came to talk and answer questions one day. I also compete in pistol matches to get better for real world situations. I don't think a jury would hold any training against you. A civil attorney may try to say you "trained to kill", but that should not stop you from training.

You could find another Glock in the $400 range if you have plenty of time to look for the right deal.

I always carry on every person to person transaction. Even a $15 Craigs List deal. Good idea to see a driver's license, but not required. You don't commit a crime unless you knowingly sell to an out of state resident or felon.

I have two in my bob. I have thought of using them as an alarm if need be. You can tie a party popper or other string firecracker to it if it's triggered by a two legged critter. I found some metal ones at Co-Op that look like they would last forever.
