  1. Now it just seems like our responsibility as Amercians to buy 5 or 6 ARs just to see what they will do. The wife can't say no right?
  2. I don't see how this makes any sense. What is the ATF going to do with the info? Come to your house and ask why you needed more than one gun in 5 days?
  3. Yes, the test is the Saturday after the last class.
  4. I signed up , but will miss the first and last classes. I was assured by the class coordinator that it should not be a problem.
  5. Harold, Dunndw, and I made it out to the class today. It was a good class if you are considering getting certified.
  6. I'll be out of town, but sounds like fun.
  7. Are you thinking of going to the class or studying on your own? I just took a practice test and some of my military commo training kicked. I scored 60% without ever opening a book.
  8. What does an NFA trust cost to setup and maintain?
  9. The extractor is the part that grips the case. The ejector has a rod that comes in contact with the case to help fling it out. The ejector and extracto are different between 9mm and .40 glocks. No need to change them. I had a G23 that was 100% reliable when converted with just a barrel. My G35 is about 99% reliable. I got a G34 just because it was annoying enough to deal with in competition and you can never have too many Glocks.
  10. Everyone was thinking it.
  11. I always carry on the lake. Never seen any signs to say it's not allowed. I guess as long as your not open carrying a 30 rd mag your good.
  12. Looks cool. I would love to customize a few Glocks.
  13. If this weapon is in anyway going to be used for self defense do not do this. It seems obvious, but wanted to be clear. I have several Glocks with factory triggers that I really enjoy shooting. I'm plenty comfortable and accurate wih them. I say try to get used to the trigger and give it some time before modding. You can drop in a factory 3.5 connector pretty easily. Being a 1911 guy you might be looking for a project, but plenty of guys, even Dave Sevigny shoot with the factory trigger.

    Nikon M223

Any experience with the Nikon M223? I can't decide between the 1-4x or the 2-8x. Is the 2-8 gonna be too big for a 16 inch AR? I'm open to other ideas. I have an Eotech on another rifle and need some optics for a rifle I just built. I think $300 is about the right price range.
  15. I was a singars operator in the TN Guard. I have always wanted to get a Ham lisence, but too lazy to study. I just checked my calender and i would miss 3 weeks of class. I'll have to wait for another one.
  16. Wow that's a lot of hits for a national page, much less a state specific. I know I will often find a topic on the boards and Google for more info and TGO is often on the first page if not top 3. I just googled "gun forums" TGO is #10 on the first page. I'm usually on my Iphone just because I'm too lazy to turn on an actual computer. But yes, every day.
  17. I use those bars and they work well. I have 5 doors that open to the outside or garage, so i use them for the doors we don't normally use. I have tested with one to see if I could put my shoulder into the door and the door opened a little bit, but slammed shut. The device is not full proof though. I have two windowed doors and a simple break of the glass and they are in. Also the pressure is at the knob, so I would think a good kick to the bottom would break the door enough to reach a hand in and remove it. I paid around 12 dollars each and seems to be worh it to me. I also have an alarm that tells me if a door or window is open, so I don't leave something open at night. I can see the alarm panel from my bed, so even if I forget to set it I can see if something is open. I also have motion detector lights near the doors and removed a tree that blocked view of one door from the street. Hopefully if the light comes on they go somewhere else.
  18. There is a Ham Radio class being offered in Franklin by WCARES.ORG. Starts Febuary 5th 9am. The only fee is $25 for the book. Go to the site, click contacts and contact he top name to register and get more information. I don't know if I can make it yet, but been wanting a license for awhile now. Any operators on TGO?
  19. Wish I could make it. Gotta work though.
  20. I'm writing-in LagerHead, just so you know.
  21. So the dems want to tax the "rich" working people and give money to people to not work for three years. If I could live on $300 a week I would quit my job tomorrow and not have to get another one for three years. That's insane.
  22. Just got the Kaytadyn Pocket filter today. Looks very sturdy. Gonna try to purify some water tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
  23. That's pretty wild.
  24. Welcome!
  25. I'm going to the ASP training on Dec 19th. I'll ask about spiked mace training. Looks like you are correct concerning any club is a club. I suspect it would be like getting your carry permit with a .22 Mosquito and carry a Desert Eagle .50AE.....the jury might have a few questions.
