you must use their frangible ammo for the AR15s during there AR time, which is 6-9 sat nights. You can use your regular pistol ammo. also, 5.7 is not allowed.

sat, 4-24, 1pm at RUSA. Meet and greet. See post 1. I will probably be there. I may just bring my Marlin mod 60 and sight it in. I can't afford 2 weekends of the 9mm black hole. I may just show up to say hi and BS a bit.

Welcome to another addiction. Nice GI. I have loved my SA mil-spec. you'll be happy, until the upgrade bug bites.

yeah, maybe. I don't need to blow a bunch of ammo anyways. But at least we can put faces to the screen names.

We had to reserve the class a couple of months in advance. That is because we wanted to keep it for us only to ensure the discount. I guess if we all signed up for the same date and class, it would be cool if we had some walk-ins. The 24th meet will be good to meet each other. Once we get to know each other the class will be less awkward. To take most of the upper level classes, RUSA require the permit class or equivalent as a prerequisite. Some could take the permit class together. When i took mine, there was a group of 6 taking the class together. They had a good time. A little friendly trash talking when the lady beat all the guys. lol. She beat my score to.

my SA mil-spec i have been working on:

A while back a few friends scheduled a Self Defense class at RUSA. They require 10 or so minimum to reserve a class. We ended up with around 14 shooters. They gave us a $25 each break on the class. In hinesight, i should have suggested this. I had a brain fart. Maybe on our next meet we can schedule a class and eat lunch at the range. Whoever sets it up should talk to Kristen or Chip. Some classes require prerequisites classes. For example, the SD class has a requirement that you have the TCP class. I agree, next should be an outdoor meet. Maybe a drive to Natchez Trace. Kinda far, but it is free. That is the only place i can think of. Other places to schedule classes are Tactical Response in Camden or TGI in Marion, AR. It is a bit more expensive and they require some classes as prerequisites.

Wow, Great deal. I just got my MTAC a week ago. I still like the MTAC better, but not $40 better. lol. Kholster at that price is the ticket. Otherwise i have to suggest the MTAC. The MTAC is the best holster i have owned. Crossbread, i hear, is another great choice.

another "i love mine". I've had mine a week, no velcro. I carry a PPS. The thinness of my pps and thinness of the MTAC, makes the set up invisible not matter what i am wearing. I wear it all day and don't notice it. Now that i know exactly how i like to carry it, i cut the bottom 2 holes off my belt clips. Now they don't make bumps in the side of my pants nor does it get in the way of my wallet. This is my first tuckable holster. I am sold.

i should be there. should be fun.

There sure are alot of us Eads, Oakland, east Shelby county folks needing a place to shoot. To bad insurance is so high and the politics so bad or we could find some land and open our own. i visited MSSA a couple of months back with some members. It is nice. I think it is worth the money, but unfortunetly i dont have the money. lol. My Bday is in june, i may just go for it then.

If you want tuckable, i would suggest something like a Comp-tac MTAC or a crossbread. I like my MTAC. I can wear it all day. It is thin, light, easy on / off, well made. Ravens are nice, but they don't make holsters for a lot of newer guns. They don't make one for my PPS. I personally don't like the thickness of IWB leather holsters. It adds a lot of thickness. I had a Don Hume IWB and returned it. Very well built just way to thick. Bullard makes super nice OWB leather. Fist has some nice kydex IWB holsters. http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/Default.htm you could get yourself a piece of kydex, some rivets and make your own. Get kydex here: http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/index.php?cPath=41_54_136 Here is a simple how to: http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulletin/defensive-carry-holsters-carry-options/39371-make-your-own-kydex-holster.html

fyi, i just got this in an email. SATURDAY MATCH There will be a match Saturday beginning at 2 pm. ....................

I have a PPS. As small as the PPS is, i still find times when i want something smaller. I am jones'n for a LCP. The good reviews in this thread may have just talked me into it. The LCP is so light, it could be in a joggin pants or short pocket.

Kahr PM9 Walther PPS 9mm Taurus PT709 slim Kel-Tec PF9 i like single stacks. Glocks are awesome, just thicker than i want to carry.
-
wow, that is a nice 9mm 1911. A great price to. The SA 9mm Target 1911 is much higher. My wishlist may have just been shuffled.
