My impressions of the Yuna This knife is built like a tank just as I expected. It is bigger than any of my pocket knives that I have ever owned. It is a flipper knife but due to the heft and bulk of the blade it cannot be opened nearly as fast as some of my other flippers. It is on the same level as my custom XM-18 Hinderer was and flips open about the same as a Hinderer XM-24. This knife is built completely by hand and it shows in the details. I have already been offered more than I paid for it from members of knife forums that Yuna has posted the pictures on and I am a member of. I will be keeping this and I am seriously considering ordering a new one when I can. I can honestly say that I like this one better than the XM-18 that I owned that Rick Hinderer hand ground for me. For any of you that have the means and can justify spending this kind of money on a custom knife, my ran $900.00 shipped to me There is now more than a 2 year wait for Yun to build a knife and I now see why as these things are what I consider to be masterpieces I have been asked by many people what my favorite knife I have owned was, this is now the one. Back to flippers: I still need a flipper and the best ones built on the planet in my opinion are built by RJ Martin, I was foolish enough to sell two that I owned for a nice profit, RJ is building me another Q-36 that I am supposed to pick up at Blade this year. For those of you that want a fantastic flipper Kershaw makes the Volt model that can be picked up for very little money, it is based of RJ Martins Q-36

Many people make the mistake of thinking they are legal to carry, they are not and as I am a big fan of them I hope this is resolved with the new bill. Several movies have made these knives appear as a gang members weapon and therefore scared people into thinking they are evil weapons. Oregon is the only state that I know of that recognizes them for what they truly are. They have no problem with people carrying them. When I lived in Florida I had a concealed weapon permit and carried my Benchmade Bali-song everywhere I truly miss this as a carry knife they are fantastic! -
Trust me Eric, It will be worth the wait!

TSA allows knives on planes... what to buy?
willis68 replied to jgradyc's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Just saw that first hand, I am in the Dallas Fort Worth airport awaiting my flight home and this lady going through security had a very strange looking knife that met the required size as the new regulation but they took it from her. I asked the TSA agent about it and she said once it has been cleared with her bosses the knife will be mailed to the owner at the owners expense -

I have to agree with you about Boker, I have owned several of them over the years and for the money they are not bad at all Having said that I lack the problem that you have of losing my knives so I carry more expensive ones -
If you like the Speed Safe design by Ken Onion, then you would love a ZT 0350 you can pick up one up for less than a Hundred. If you want to spend $300.00 as Major Kong suggested I would search high and low for a used Sebenza small or large model, but when you come to the $300 price point, you may want to save some more and by a new Sebenza

I think that is the reason I do not own a bunch of Sigs, I would have to have all of these upgrades done to each pistol as well! I also put a set of re checkered Houge grips on Man I love my P220! For The Action Enhancement, the trigger pull DA is lowered considerably, there is a huge difference The polishing of the throat is supposed to help with feeding any types of ammo, I think they threw that in for free with my other upgrades Here is a link to he PDF of what is offered. Mine has all the following done to it Sig P220 Custom shop upgrades SRT AEP SSP FRP http://www.sigsauer.com/upFiles/CmsContent/documents/CUSTOMSHOP_pricelist_03-12.pdf

When I was working in Edinburgh last summer, we were lucky enough to have 4 days at port to do whatever we wanted. I toured the Castle one of those days and they make some of the finest Scotch in the world in that castle. Have a look at these pictures and zoom in on the photos, there is one bottle that cost 8k Pounds, for any of you not familiar with the conversion rate that is about $13,000 US dollars! That bottle is pictured in the top left corner No I did not get to drink that, but we did share a few bottles of the peseant priced bottles that between myself and 4 buddies we spent over $600.00 US on, anyway here is a picture

When I bought my P220 brand new, I sent to the Sig custom shop for a few upgrades, SRT. Short reset trigger Night Sites, polished throat Action enhancement All of these upgrades make it the best Sig I can imagine, it is only second to my 1911's. I absolutely love it and seriously doudt that I will ever part with it, every time I think about it (as I have had several buy offers for much more than I have in it) I can not do it. If I ever get a 226 or any other Sig I will send it in for the action and trigger work, it is simply amazing what a difference it makes.
