  1. Prayers to you and your girlfriend.
  2. Yes if it came from the factory with a buttstock it will have to be a SBS. If you are "building" it yourself why not go with a SBS over the AOW, you are still going to have the $200 stamp.
  3. I've never understood why people insist on posting in threads that they hate so much. If you don't like the topic or pic or whatever, there is a little button at the top of your screen that will take you back to the last page you were on and you will never have to see that thread again. To the OP, nice guns in the pic.
  4. ESPN is reporting that VY will still be leaving the team.
  5. 1/10 on the rant meter.
  6. And I'm sure if you asked 10 Navy SEALs they would prefer the Sig P226. People are going to prefer what they know and what they have trained with.
  7. Guys I'm not saying that the 1911 isn't a good gun, but IMO there are better options out there.
  8. A fighting handgun doesn't need to shoot one hole groups. It needs to go bang every time you pull the trigger.
  9. Oh well. He more than likely would have been fired before the end of next season. It would have been very hard for him to hire three coaches when all he had to offer was a one year contract for next year anyway.
  10. A "serious USPSA competitor" doesn't compete in Afganistan or Iraq. It is laughable that you would even try make this comparison. The 1911 is a great gun for civilians. And they would probably do ok as a service weapon. But there are better options out there as far as ease of maintenance, realiablity in a warzone, magazine capacity, and weight.
  11. There are many dealers that carry the KAC Materkey. And I don't the the advantage of having quick change mags because the orginal purpose of the Masterkey was to use as a breaching tool, not a fighting one.
  12. If they don't start using the right wording they are going to hurt the NFA world more than they help it. If a non gun person watched the show tonight they now believe that you can just go out and buy a gernade launcher from a guy off the street. What they had wasn't a gernade launcher, it was a 37mm flare launcher. The cocking lever on the side was the give away that it wasn't a M203. He is about 20 years behind on his Masterkey project. KAC came up with it in the 1980's. The show is fun to watch, but I can't get past them putting out wrong information for the sheep to use against us.
  13. Sorry man but it is time to eject.
  14. FN FNP45 or HK45 and forget about the 1911.
  15. As I write this it looks like a blizzard outside. I am tired of the cold and snow. I don't know how people up north do it. I couldn't stand living where it snows every other day. I don't have any problems driving in it and the first couple snows were ok, but now I'm just ready for warm weather. This is more like it.
  16. My family went three times when I was a kid. I was around 8 when we went the first time and I was all about riding the rides so I enjoyed the Disney Hollywood park and the Universal parks more so than the Disney parks. The Disney Hollywood park and Universal parks have more roller coster type rides and I think they are intended for a teenage and older crowd. The shows were also great at Universal. We also went to Epcot, Disney World, and Animal Kingdom. I enjoyed Animal Kingdom the most out of those three. With DW second and Epcot third. It just didn't seem like there was much to do at Epcot besides Spaceship earth. We also did Seaworld once and really enjoyed it. And if you enjoy water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach are the best I have ever been to. They are both run by Disney and are top notch. Keep in mind that I was 8, 10, and 12 when we were there so YMMV. We stayed at the Disney Wilderness Lodge one time which I thought was awesome. It is modeled after the lodge at Yellowstone I think. Another time we stayed in a cabin at the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and they were pretty nice. And the other time we stayed in a condo that wasn't owned by Disney. In 2009 we stayed at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort while we were down for the SHOT Show and it was really nice and close to the Universal Citywalk. There was all kinds of stuff to do and places to eat within walking distance and the hotel is very nice. Deciding on what you want to do and where you want to go really depends on how old your kids are and what the family is interested. Younger kids will enjoy the Disney parks more so than the Universal parks. And if your family is into animals and nature then I would hit Animal Kingdom and Seaworld. Older kids and boys will enjoy Universal and the Disney Hollywood park more becasue of the rides.
  17. You would be surprised at how bad some LEO's shoot and how little they even know about the gun they carry every day on duty. Most of them probably requalify once a year and maybe have one time that the department makes them train with their firearm. So if they are not a "gun person" that is the only time they shoot. I talked to a officer that works at a small PD close to where I live and he told me that the city gave the two boxes of ammo to last them all year. If they wanted more then they had to buy it on their own.
  18. When I first saw this thread I was thinking a used but like new Z06 would be what I went with if it was me.
  19. The 28ga Judge has already been canceled by Taurus. Guess they should have thought about NFA laws before they designed. The ruling tomorrow is going to be about the importation of certain guns. What meets the "sporting" criteria and what doesn't.
  20. Prayers sent.
  21. I'm interested to see how you like the Battlecomp. It is supposed to work as well at the KAC Triple Tap at about 1/4 the price.
  22. If you can buy a centerfire barrel for it then it has to ship to a FFL.
  23. Good hot coffee, the sun rising on your deer stand, the smell of the ocean, breakfast with my Grandparents, making the perfect fly cast, all saltwater fishing, Moms, Dads, and a warm belt-fed.
  24. I have thought about this since I saw the press release on Monday and I still can't figure out how they are getting around the NFA. Anything bigger than .50 that has a rifled barrel is a DD. And as Dolomite said, pistol grip shotguns have to have a OAL of at least 26". Before they go into production they will have to submit it to FTB to be approved. I'm sure they will figure it out.
  25. No not this year. Classes started back this week and couldn't get away. But I hope to go next year. The KSG was there. I just hope Kel Tec does a better job of getting them to consumers than they have with RFB and the PMR30.
