  1. I'm here. Using tapatalk on my old raggedy iPhone.
  2. It could be worse, gunbroker could be set up like a beezid style "auction" site.

    Bad Joke...

That was better then the "joke"
  4. I don't think anyone has a problem with Enfield sharing his opinion. I think people take offense with his constant posts in multiple threads that are off-topic and/or antagonistic. Also known as thread crapping.
  5. Here's an idea, stop being a thread crapping asshat. We have a member here trying to do a damn fine thing and you want to come in here with your ****ty attitude and your snide remarks and **** it all up. Find something to contribute to this thread or simply stfu. Back on topic, thank you for trying to do something. I'm sure anything you do will be greatly appreciated. If you still want to do a build or maybe some smith work for a deserving soldier I will keep my ears open for a deserving candidate here on Ft. Campbell for you.
  6. I know that the federal government does not recognize military spousal benefits for same sex marriage. They cite the defense of marriage act as the reasoning behind it.
  7. Some SWAT teams use SBR 9MM AR's for room clearing. 5.56 will often over penetrate, hitting friendlies on the other side of a wall. Sounds like a pretty good use to me. Think of a 9MM AR as a sub gun (MP-5 or similar) with the benefits of having the same manual of arms many people are already used to. As far as what to hang off of it, I would toss a small red dot like a Burris fastfire on it, then get a one point sling. Push the weapon out in front of you putting tension on the sling to stabilize your aim when you fire.
  8. Bringing this one back from the dead!I picked up a Tagua quick draw belt holster for my P6 today based on the post above. It does fit perfectly and is very comfortable. The Tagua with the thumb break made for the p228 will also work well.
  9. Wear comfortable boots. They will teach you what you need to know. Just pay attention, learn, and apply it.

I got one for the wife recently. I think it's a good gun for the money, I like it as much as my H&R 650.
  11. Looks like these are being imported now. Centerfire has them up on their website. Anyone have any insight on these? From the little bit of research I have done they look like a lot of fun. If they are reliable I think I will be (eventually) getting one instead of a saiga 12.
  12. I could see this being more of an issue if she was just standing in her yard recording a random traffic stop. That simply wasn't the case. She stated in the video that they had her friend stopped. Apparently she also made some anti-Leo statements before she started filming. (According to the officer in the video) It seems pretty standard to clear the area of any friends or family of someone being arrested. People often stop thinking rationally when they see someone they know being arrested and may try to interfere. I've seen a video of an officer being stuck from behind and knocked unconscious from a family member while making an arrest for example. (I'm not trying to compare that to what happened here of course) With it being dark and difficult to spot a potential weapon I could also see the issue of officer safety. I can only assume she came out of the house to the yard/sidewalk to record. She could have easily grabbed some sort of weapon while in the house as well. By this woman's actions and words she was obviously trying to cause trouble. As the saying goes; play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I would love to see what she said before she started filming. I'm guessing it wasn't very flattering and would probably change a lot of peoples minds about her innocence.
  13. I pulled this off my Channel 4 app. "One killed, one injured in shopping center shooting Jun 20, 2011 7:05 p.m. One man was killed and another was injured after a shooting in the parking lot of the Owen Place Shopping Center, police said. According to investigators, Shannon Scott Paul and Ryan Dickens got into an argument while driving in separate vehicles on Highway 12 Monday afternoon. Police said the men drove into the parking lot near the H&R Block and Don Pancho restaurant and continued their spat. Officers said the men got out of their vehicles and Paul, whom police say was a licensed gun permit holder, shot Dickens. Officers said Dickens then wrestled the gun away and shot Paul. At some point, witnesses said Dickens ran through the restaurant, yelling, "Where is he?" Paul died from his injuries, police said. Dickens was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment. Police have recovered the gun, however they said it's still unclear what the men fought over originally. No charges have been filed at this time, investigators said."
  14. There was a guy on another forum I frequent who was using his plum crazy lower with a .50bmg upper. It hasn't killed him yet, at least not the last time I checked. I'm not sure I would be all that excited to try it though.
  15. I know, I meant amounts like we currently have in OND/OEF. Of course, I was also being a smartass.
  16. Back on topic; Personally I'm glad we are in Libya. We will eventually pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan and I would just hate having to spend some time at home with my wife. We should go into Iran and the horn of Africa just for good measure!
  17. That's good to know. I have wanted one of these for a while and I didn't know that they were interchangeable at all.
  18. You are correct robocop, I said I was active duty but failed to say that I was stationed at Ft. Campbell.
  19. Thank you for the contact information. I called the Nashville office and was routed to the Washington office, I assume the Nashville office was closed. The guy was rude but he told me what I needed to know. I explained to him that I was stationed at Ft. Campbell. I even told him I was currently living in KY. I asked him if I was legal to buy ftf in either or both states. He said that I am legal to purchase ftf in either state with a bill of sale! I may email the Nashville office so I will have the answer in writing as well. Just to cover my fourth point of contact.
  20. That funny, I just came to the same conclusion based on my research. Also it seems that if a military base extends into two states that all military members stationed there are considered residence of both states. My home of residence doesn't even matter in this case. It looks like the same "loophole" for lack of a better word, that allows me to purchase from an ffl in both states allows me to buy ftf as well. I will make a call to verify this, if I can figure out who to call. Hopefully I can get them to send me something in writing. Then all I have to do is find someone willing to try it out. I think Mike is the first on the list. Oh and one more thing, some of you need to lighten up. I'm not trying to "get over" or do anything illegal. If i wanted to do that I wouldn't start a thread about it first.
  21. The funny thing is if I had a different state as my home of record I could buy in three different states. TN, KY and my home of record state. Since my home of record is TN I only get two. Could you buy ftf in both states or just from an ffl? Or did you ever bother to check?
  22. Thats why I'm looking for clarification before I buy or sell anything.
  23. Let me say it again. Because Ft. Campbell is located in KY AND TN, anybody stationed here can buy handguns from either state. It does not matter which state you live in. It happens everyday here. If you don't believe me you can call the TBI and ask them. As far as residence goes active duty military can have more then one. My home of record is still in TN. I still pay state taxes (or lack thereof) to TN. However I have a KY drivers license, tags ect because I am currently residing here. This is not unusual or illegal in any way. Honestly I think I am causing more confusion then getting the clarification I was looking for. I will contact some local gun shops and/or my JAG and see if I can get a real answer.
