When I said what I said earlier, I had a different understand of what the state guard is. That is to say, I had no idea. I was under the impression that they were a militia type group because of their name, and it looks like I'm not the only one who had no idea what they do based on some of the posts earlier in this thread. Had I known what they do as far as helping the military families, manning the Nat'l Guard facilities, etc, I wouldn't have said that. It seems like they are more of a USO type organization. I hope no one thinks I was downing the military or police, because I wasn't.

No need to get your panties in a wad. Now we know some of what they do. Often criticism is a good way to get good information quickly, and it looks like it worked. Don't get all butthurt over it. I can't think of one time I've heard of the Tennessee State Guard other than on a gun forum, so I didn't know what they do. It looks like they do good things.

I can scrape the finish off my 340 with a fingernail.. I kinda wish it was all gone because the scandium/aluminum underneath is pretty. If they are refinishing guns for free though, I might take them up on that.
